That is so sickening and saddening to hear. She didn't deserve this much hate. Regardless of religion and gender, no one deserves to deal with traumatic situations like this. It's so disgusting. Inshallah she gets the justice she truly deserves, because it is insane and mind blowing on how the police are dealing with this. Hopefully she finds peace!! :)) 🙏

@ariesshine1857 I think you misunderstood. (Or maybe I am misunderstanding, but I suppose OP can verify their meaning if I am wrong)
She said she doesn't wear hijab and therefore she isn't feeling the same stress and pressure of the women who are and that maybe it is time for her to stand up and start wearing to show she is in support of her hijab sisters.
She knows that her decision to not wear hijab has basically let her skate by, and InshaAllah she will be protected if and when she decides to wear her hijab.
I don't think anyone was stirring the pot. Just someone commented she should display her religion openly (by wearing hijab) as in theybwere supporting her decision to do so.
But again, maybe I interpreted that all wrong. It's possible, as sometimes it's difficult to portray a personal feeling with textbalone.

I agree, if roles were reversed there would be a media circus. HOWEVER, as a "white muslim" revert from America, I can tell you this would NOT be a "racially motivated" attack because "Islam is a religion not a race"
I've had beer bottles thrown at me. I've been told to "go home to your own country" and this is my country 😂
I'm not a person of color and I wouldn't want my religious struggles to be associated the same as people of color. Both are based on hate. Yes. But more people in USA are racist than they are hateful towards varying religious views. Just my opinion.

@@Givebackthescarf While I genuinely understand the point you’re making, and the generalisation for brown people definitely exists I’ve heard it, my hijab is a non-negotiable. Frankly it’s immutable. And when I put on hijab I become a foreigner on my own country. I am not accepted as an Irish person because of how I look. People usually think I’m half-Arab and I face discrimination and public humiliation because of that. I do hope you read the racist tones in your comment toward me though.

    • @cherachapin3826

@Givebackthescarf My husband has brownish skin (I won't say brown because it's not as dark as those with the redish brown of India and it's not the darker brown from other parts of the world but it is definately NOT white)
And he has what looks like the typical African American Afro hair style. His hair is just natural like that. Many people see him and say he looks like that Football player who refuses to stand for the national anthem because of the social injustices in our country.
Many people of color get discriminated against, and again it IS very different from the religious discrimination. He has , for the most part, never had to face any type of discrimination. He LOOKS the part, as you say, but he sounds French. It's his French accent from Algeria. Because of that one simple thing, he has only faced any type of discrimination when he is WITH ME. Why? It's MY religion that shows. Not his.
I was at the zoo, with him and our 6 children. Who gets attacked? Me. After I get attacked, my husband says something and the guy looks at him and says "stay out of this" because again, my husband doesn't "look Muslim"
No, I can't "just take off my hijab" that is not how my faith works.
Racial discrimination exists, Islamophobia exists. But Islamaphobia is NOT a racially motivated crime. Muslims and Islam is not a race.
That's all it boils down to. In both situations, poc and Muslims can't just change who they are. We face the same types of challenges but in different ways. We are each tested in different ways.

The manner of speaking, the use of certain words or how we say them in acts of violence like this portrays that people think “white” is synonymous with non-Muslim. Or racist or bigot.
There are white male Muslims, so I don’t think it’s correct to speak like this. As well, there are many white Muslims in the world, and white niqabi/hijabi sisters that have been and may be assaulted by white men, their race is not relevant at all. Quite frankly a badly held sentiment can border on racist as we’re holding a collective to our vision of how someone who is a certain colour should or can be.
The identification by a person whether they’ve committed a crime or not solely by race isn’t conducive to useful conversations.
If roles were reversed and we specifically mentioned someone was black or brown as a perpetrator of a crime for no apparent reason, I know I’d ask why that was relevant to the topic.
As Muslims, we have a unique and wonderful connection through our religion. Alhamdulilah I’ve known people from all over the globe. When we stand side by side in prayer, we are one Ummah and whether she is black, white, brown, red, yellow whatever, she’s my sister in Islam. I’ve heard racist sentiment both ways, this isn’t from Islam, this is cultural and it’s made to break us apart, but we won’t let it, we must do whatever we can to stomp it out.

No one should attack innocent men or women because of their religious preferences. Just because there have been over 48,000 Islamic terror attacks since 1979 (averaging over 1000 a year) doesn't mean that the individual person is out to harm you or is doing something wrong. What you should do is present rational evidence showing them how foolish they are in a calm manner rather than lashing out against random people.

I'm glad you explained it clearly. I personally don't think it is possible either, all beliefs should be respected. A large part of my family is Islamic and I respect it as a norm. However, I find ninja moma very one-sided. You indicate how sorry you are about your own faith, but when it concerns someone else you close your eyes and cannot explain anything further. appreciate your response alot. may God reward you with your kindness. Im christian

Why you guys stay in Europe? Better life? Why its better than in religious Afganistan? Would it be the non-religious society? All islamic states are poor. Saudi is rich of selling oil to people who drives the cars innovated by Americans. No innovations no social security in muslim countries. The best is Turkey. Yes its secular.

Qatar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Kuwait. These are places with Muslims majority’s. Afghanistan has nothing to do with This. Muslims have lived in Europe for centuries. You have no right to tell people where they should live for a better quality of life. And Afghanistan isn’t poor because of Islam. Saudi Arabia has strict rules too. But it’s not poor is it?

Because in the summer sun doesnt set under -18 degrees below horizon and it makes fajr and isha prayer impossible without a watch/clock and calculator that synthetically divides the night in parts despite there is not total darkness. And above 66 latitude (part of Sweden) sun doesnt even set in the summer. And if you need a clock and application for your prayers, remember they are again innovated by non-muslims.
