I would like to know what it is that he believes is a part of the cultural identity that Rasta must show outwardly, and not just in his heart. As a yute, I grew around elders who followed Fari, but discovered The Promised Key a little after 2000. I have been changing ( no longer drink, never smoked, don't eat meat or suck cow, don't wear animal skin etc) but I don't locks.

I hope you are taking the time to read your comments, with all due respect. If Reggae doesn't evolve it will die. Who says the past is gone, and who dares to take away any songs that recite the scriptures, where do you find god ? As one begins to climb the breadfruit tree pick one, roast it, slice it, and eat it with a ripen pear and some ackee if you dare. Just the thought makes me remember my trips to Jamaica. When your mother or father tells the child no, what would the child do? Cry, get upset, angry etc...... after a moment has pass that which upset the child is no longer in thought and the day goes on, only to remember another day when that child grows up. In every battle there is a side that victories and the other that loses. This is not a soccer match? where the winners go home with the trophy, this is evolution we all win and lose because we have to grow into and leave some bitter or sweet memories.
