    That officer DID comment about the policy and he WAS making an accusation of a violation of policy.
    Sounds like the woman with the dog was the person likely to have lodged a complaint about their discussions.

      I think that was the point of the "survey". And, he found out about it through a witness at the restaurant and decided to get to the bottom of who, what, and why, by using their jobs against them. Hopefully, there is still an investigation cuz clearly there were things going on in the department that needed to be brought to light.

    My ex husband now retired from Police use to say the hardest part of the job was who you worked with/who the hierarchy was in charge….the politics & ego. He’d much prefer at times to be dealing with “the bad guys”.

    So funny. The interviewer tells the cop not to lie, but yet lied to him the prior day about violating a policy that he didn't actually violate. And then proceeds to lie and say he didn't mean for it to come off that way. Priceless stuff here.

    Someone in that group is a mole for sure. I may not agree with some of the things they may or may not have said. But usually people that deal with HIGH STRESS/MORBID situations on a regular basis usually make light of them or often to help cope. And to get in trouble for some back handed comments that you’re having with coworkers while eating is crazy.

    An injured cop goes to breakfast with other cop's where talk about the job, injuries & the police department took place.
    It WASN'T a meeting, it was a grp of cop's having breakfast & sounding off about what is a particularly stressful job, nothing more.
    Just because 1of the grp is on administrative leave, dosen't mean any of them is doing anything wrong.
    It's a Witchunt...started by a chief who dosen't have the trust or respect of the officer's serving under him.
    IMO, THAT'S what should be being investigated
