  • Former President Jimmy Carter returned to his regular spot at the head of his weekly Sunday School class this week. He normally teaches class at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Ga., every Sunday morning, when his health and travels permit.

My son and I attended President Carters Sunday school in 2018 and it was a true highlight of my life. He is a national treasure!

I’m not religious but all I can say about President Carter is…what a man!
May the beautiful and devoted Rosalynn rest in bliss.
The Carters were married for over 77 years, the longest married couple in U.S. presidential history.
When Rosalynn died recently at the age of 96 she was the second longest lived U.S. First Lady.
At the age of 99 years and almost two months as I write this, Jimmy Carter is the longest lived U.S. president.
An amazing pair. They just don’t talk the talk, they walk the walk!

He has a good testimony, giving his life to glorify God. The man that recognizes always God's presence. No hatred but full of love with his wife. The example of a good couple that t lived together, till death that departs them. Time will come they would join together in God's place prepared for them.

America actually needs more Godly leaders. Those that point men to the truth.

In the story of " The Good Samaritan" the question is posed " Who is my neighbor ?" Someone that lives on the same street as I do ? In the same city ? Our neighbor is the person that we have to deal with on a daily basis. I have had 2 traumatic brain injuries, and have been a client at Neurorestorative Tyler twice. I have 2 dilemmas as a result of my TBI's : 1. Ombrophobia ( fear of rain ) 2. a high intense social anxiety ! Rather than apologizing for my traumatic brain injuries, I need to remember the apathy of Dallas citizens ! The streets of Dallas are a slaughterhouse ! ( I've been to the school of hard knocks twice ! ) David S.

I voted for him twice, although I long since became a Republican. However, I like him on a personal level because he's a devout Christian.

Carter represented a change in the democratic party that the party wasn't ready for, yet I do see some similarly between President Carter and Vice President Biden so maybe the party is finally reaching the return to carterism.

@@Twister-V1 I wonder what prompts you to say that, as I fail to see any similarities in the two of them. Biden doesn't have any character at all from what I can see. Trump says Biden's not all there, and I agree with him.

@@Woozler554 Well than St. Franics, it just so happens he is. He helped bring the pope to America to speak in front of congress for the first time. Has been to services every Sunday. All of his children have been baptized. Biden got more votes from the religious block than any democrat since 1992. What is your proof he is not a practicing Catholic? The current Pope said that Trump does not represent Christian values. Pope Francis also said that homosexuality should be entitled to civil unions and that evolution is not wrong. That means Bidens values are in line with the highest authority in Catholicism.

I think the pastor ought to be able to get a $250,000 Recreational Vehicle at Service at Maranatha Baptist Church, Pastor Hugh Deloach or the other Maranatha Baptist Church. God is not saying no on his reasoning and it is temporary. So, have a bake sale, ladies, and turn those pastries in home not battle ships! God Loves a cheerful giver!!!! He is in his 100th year. This wonderful man has lead an extraordinary life with an extraordinary woman by his side. Now that Rosalynn has passed, I would imagine that Jimmy is now ready to take his leave in the hope that they will be reunited in a better place.
