- Hey guys here's a video of what I've been working on in the shop. I'm making a "backpack " box for a close friend and good customer of mine for his service truck. I'm using all 11 ga steel from a local supplier its been a fun project and the largest one I have done yet. I dont have a fully stocked shop which I mention in the video so you get to see how I get by with what I have on hand. I hope you enjoy thanks for watching!
Quick suggestion man. These pass through boxes cost around $3k -$4k. Would love a video on how to build one and save money.
Damn bud, you really put some thought into that bad boy... I like the chevy latch touch.😁
Nice job
Man I feel bad watching videos like this, I have all the tools and no time to learn how to use them, I bought a 12' wide finger brake capable of 3/16, a 5'x 10' plasma table capable of 1" plate, a 36" press brake capable of 1/4. Plasmas, welders, tig machines. Wanted to get into fabrication but just havent had the time. Want to build almost identical box that you did, except center section I want to be fuel tank. And with a cross box for longer items. Finger brakes aren't bad, you can get you a real good one for a couple grand, which is easily what that box Is worth you built.
Have you ever looked into making a break using a kit from swag off road?
I made mine with 2 20 ton pneumatic jacks
This is good stuff keep the videos coming !
Did you build a 'frame' out of that 1/8 angle(looks like maybe 1")? or is the 11ga just welded to the other 11ga sheet on the bottom and sides, wit just the angle at the doors?
Great work and and thank you for inspirations. What jack is that?
get that brake, it will change your life.
