That basket is cool but wouldn't it start to crack and eventually become rope again??

I was thinking that too. You could probably get by with using less water, working the solution into the rope longer, and letting it cure longer. I thought that was extremely cool, but it was extremely brittle looking.

Well said if no excessive cracking try white cement with a cement additive for extra strength or even better use a epoxy resin cement additive and doesn't have to be white cement

Please always use safety glasses and industrial respirator when working with cement: *cement mixing and drying are actual chemical reactions.*

"Actual chemical reactions" are everything, including the act of breathing. Just say that cement dust is toxic.

Armour All spray is an excellent mold release. But idk what was used here.

You could use any oil, like Spam kitchen spray.
