They're also from the same town/area and trained with the same trainer.

People dont understand how much difference a player like mackinnon makes outside of points, he wears down the energy of the opposition more and more each shift so that the likelyhood of his teams other lines scoring goes up. thats why he and mcdavid are way beyond players like kuch and matthews

Oilers fan here, playing against Mack is bad enough, but having both him and Makar on a team together is just unfair. When those guys want to win, you can see it in the ferocity of their gameplay.

i know lol… the coaching in the NHL imo is pretty ass… biased af. They keep recycling the same old coaches from team to team and they hardly let any new blood in. If your from Europe u have no chance coaching in the NHL. In the history of the NHL there has been maybe 1 or 2 as a side coach. The current Finnish head coach has won Olympic Gold, 3 times the World Cup Gold, also 1 in Junior hockey. His team had 0 nhl players in 2019 when Canada, Russia, Sweden were stacked with guys like Mark Stone, Ovetchkin, Nylander etc. and he beat them all and won Gold. Every year he makes an underwhelming team a contender. But this NHL clique keeps the money in the family and only hire NA coaches.

There is no accountability or respect for this coach . Shanahan should be dealing with the league as there is definitely something unfair about leaf refereeing . Never mind the haters the power plays and penalties are just uneven way too often. There has to be a reason for this .

There have been so many blown 3 and 4 goal leads this season and people act like the Leafs are the only team to do so. I'm pretty sure Colorado blew a 4-goal lead against the Coyotes recently.
Anyway, Colorado deserved to win this one as they were definitely the better team after the first period. GG.

You know what's the main difference between the Avs and Leafs? The Leafs don't have Mackinnon. There is a reason why people call Mackinnon, Nate the Great. When it matters the most, he comes through. Matthews may be a goal scoring machine, but he can't setup players if his life counted on it. Mackinnon is a goal scorer and a playmaker

@@Paroseni.nah, Edmonton actually has defense now, and get more scoring contributions from players other then Drai and McDavid. Also remember that while this Avs team is very good, they don’t compare to 21-22 Avs. That team was a nightmare for the whole league.
