  • "In the house of pain, we were chained together searching for our truth, beyond good and evil". This quote from Nietzsche inspired Andy Parkin and Mark Twight, the openers of this mixed climbing route, that became a reference. Listed extremely difficult, North oriented, this route was appealing for François Damilano and François Marsigny, the repeaters of the route.
Last winter, it was time for the up-and-coming generation, represented by Marion Poitevin and Sébastien Ratel to meet the challenge. Three duos, three experiences, three encounters… echoing the Trilogy alpine series.

Mark twight is my hero. He’s a different climber than most. He was fighting inner demons much like me. I’m still fighting them to this day. He’s always been an inspiration to keep fighting and not give up.

Awesome video! I remember reading about this route in Twight's book and it's fantastic to see this now :)

Always good to see Twight. His memoir " kiss or kill" is excellent.

For the second ascent it was a completely different route - the do-ability quotient went way up.

The quote at 11:03 it is not from M.Twight, it's from Nietzsche.

How did the film from above? Re-enactment or drone?

Hi, the day before the ascent, static ropes were placed to allow Jon Griffith and Bertrand Delapierre to hang up above the route. No drones

Would someone share from which work of Nietzsche is this quote? It seems it is not from Beyond Good and Evil.
