This one certainly does it for me. My eyes water. At my father's funeral (retired Marine) there was an honor guard that fired off a salute from their rifles after the service. I paid $200 extra for a bagpipe salute as well. "Amazing Grace" played on a solo bagpipe is one of the most haunting sounds, so moving, so touching. That tore me up, hearing that piece. As a funeral is was a good one. Except for having to lose my father for it. Oh well, soon enough it'll be my turn. And I know now something I never said during his lifetime. I will never be the man he was.
I saw Elvis in concert when I was very young, in Charlotte NC. He had such a presence on stage, you could feel his energy. People loved him. He was very spiritual, and some people don’t realize he was a 7th degree black belt in karate. I’ll always love his music.

The trilogy part of the title refers to the three segments of the song “Dixie” for the South (where Elvis was born), “Battle Hymn of the Republic” for the North-and country as a whole, and ‘All My Trials,” an African American spiritual. Brilliant!
Im 60 yrs old and Im glad that after discovering these reaction videos im revisiting and appreciating the music I grew up with, and ive said before with that voice and passion Elvis was a force of nature, RIP Elvis.
Elvis Presley is an amazingly talented singer/performing artist (1935-1977). He loved America and was a true patriot. He served in the US Army for two years. He grew up in Mississippi and Memphis, TN (Memphis is his final resting place). He had a deep-seated caring for other's (very empathic person and sensitive to other's feelings), and particularly those that lived in poverty, as he understood very clearly the impact that poverty can have on a person's life since he too grew up poor.
I'm not even American but Elvis singing Trilogy moves me to tears, absolutely spine tingling. Elvis is a LEGEND who will never, ever be forgotten. God bless Elvis, we love and miss you ❤ x
Christine Wilkinson I agree. I wasn’t born in America but I’ve loved Elvis since I was 10 years old. I had just 14 when he died and remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. I cried for over a month. But song gives me chills. So powerful! What a voice. Truly the King of Music. Will always love him.
@@teresitaalonso2452 totally agree, I was nearly 12 when Elvis died and I remember being totally shocked and very upset. I absolutely adore the man, his looks, his charisma, his sex appeal and of course his beautiful voice. Listening to Elvis makes me happy and sad at times but his music has got me through some difficult times in my life. I just love Elvis and can't imagine my life without his music x
@@christinewilkinson2424 Elvis was/is the best, but he unfortunately epitomized the "ying-yang" effect in that as great as he was, for someone who seemingly had it all, he was surrounded by "yes" men, became a prisoner in his own home--when asked what he missed most, Elvis said he wished he could just walk around his neighborhood, but couldn't, as people would swarm to him like locust--he grew to be a VERY lonely man, and died on the toilet. His life ended up being a really sad existence in the latter half of his life. There's a video of a bloated Elvis, obviously in poor health, singing "My Way" just a few months before he died, and during the song you can clearly see tears running down his face, as though he knew he wasn't long for this world. VERY sad to watch, and heartbreaking to witness.
I was at Graceland, in the trophy room staring at that jumpsuit in a glass case and that video came on. Yes my kids watched me cry for the first time since my mother died. It was just overwhelming. Thank you King and Mickey Newberry.
love the way Elvis looks at his band as if to say" Give me everything you've got and I will send this song into the stratosphere ! He did it!!!! love it...
Elvis guided his orchestra/band with his hand and body movements, they never took their eyes off him, because he was always changing up the way he did some songs. His back up singers said, "you can't take your eyes off him because you never know what he's going to do next" He had total control at all times. My poor husband couldn't even get his band to show up on time for practice! Shows how dedicated they all were!
he is still the king and no one will ever match him never !!! I myself am from 1977 and have been roused with his music at home thanks to my dad. his music is timeless .... he is the real king .... greetings from Belgium
Wendell Babcock ..... From 3:24 - 3:48.... That flute solo..... Man, that was haunting & beautiful but did a magnificent job of building up the true beauty of what was to come (the epic finish) 🔥✊️👑👌🔥
Being a Southern Woman, this song touches me deeply. Thank you. Whitney Houston’s Momma sitting there all classy! If you don’t know, read up on his whole band and singers. The best of the best in music history. A great read, very interesting. And no one, NO ONE treated their team and their families better than Elvis.
When I hear him sing “hush little baby, don’t you cry. You know your daddy’s, bound to die” makes me think he could be talking to his daughter Lisa Marie and the tears start coming down. He was a beautiful man inside and out. RIParadise Elvis and his beautiful daughter Lisa Marie. 🕊️❤️🕊️❤️
When I was a young kid in the early 80's we had this aloha VHS tape, and my dad played this song over and over and over and over and he would have tears running down his face every single time
Elvis is for every generation. ..He thought he would not be remembered. ..If you want to see him "rock the planet " his "Suspicious Minds" song and "Polk Salad Annie" songs in his Las Vegas concert are fantastic! !
@@rutxevilar6340 Yes, I have heard multiple people say during interviews, that they would be telling him about his fame, and he would always say Nah, they will forget about me after I'm gone.
No one in the world ever had a set of pipes like Elvis, the man was a genuis . Although probably the most famous man who ever lived is still underated as you cannot quantify someone like him!
He throws his belt and cape into the audience and that ring I believe he gifts to a little girl who was watching from a wheelchair all during this show. His generosity knew no limits. And that voice!!!
This was his Hawaiian concert! I remember sitting in front of a black and white tv in our living room, the four of us sitting around that little tv and just loving every minute! He was a gift from God, no doubt!
Folks used to have respect for everyone that sacrificed, the great military minds and leaders, those who fought and died and those that lost everything during the civil war North AND South. 400,000 young men and boys died for love of their land and people. THATS why those statues were erected THATS why this history needs to be taught in schools without political prejudice. Its our shared history as Americans and it binds us together. And thats why the enemies of this nation want to tear it all down. Videos like this are waking people up to how we were actually coming together as a people not the other way around.
I remember watching this concert, Aloha From Hawaii, first concert ever broadcast via satellite. I was 7 years old that year, 1973. My daddy was a musician and his band had played on the Louisiana Hayride on the same bill as Elvis. Daddy always said that Elvis was one of the nicest people he'd ever met, and he met a lot, lol! When Elvis went Home I actually saw my daddy cry, and that's something most Southern men rarely did back then. I know every note of this, we had it on 8 track tape, and mama would play it a lot cleaning house. As I got older, I researched the 3 songs and was blown away again by the fantastic arrangement. I miss Elvis, and I miss my daddy, so I generally get up all in my feels when I hear this song. 46 years later and it still gives me goosies.
My mom recorded it from the TV way back in the beginning of the VCR days. I've seen the whole concert many times, but this was the only song I would rewind multiple times.
@@professionalvampire1 wow, you were lucky to have a VCR back then, we didn't get one til the early 80s. But yeah, this segment of the concert has always been my favorite.
Have you ever seen a re-enactment of the civil war on stage before? With an orchestra blazing instead of canons? Well, there it was. It's three different songs, starting with "Dixie," a quiet, introspective version of the slave spiritual "All My Trials," and then "The Battle Hymn of The Republic." Lincoln wins, The Union wins. But he acknowledges all the suffering. It's a war we are STILL fighting. And so this is a masterpiece that is still relevant today. Perhaps even more so.
Robin Markowitz He actually ‘loan’ it, so to speak, from Mickey Newbury who is actually the person who made a medley of those 3 songs on a earlier album of his. Elvis loved it and so choose to perfomed in the early 70’s in concert. And he(and his great singers and musicians) did it beautifully!
@@petervanherp6691 Elvis' orchestral version is so very different than Newbury's folk-style rendition. Plus, these songs existed long before any of them were born.
I played this at my Father's funeral with his coffin in our house. I was aged 20. I am now 62, never forget. A legend sang it for another legend! My Dad!
Elvis the physical man is gone, but Elvis is still very much here with us, as his body of work, on record, on video, his estate, tours, tribute shows, and his entire monumental legacy are all still very much here, and people like you are helping keep EP alive, for new generations to come! Great job.. all of you who are doing this stuff now with EP and others.
There will never be another performer with this much power, presence, talent, and vocal range. He passed when I was barely 1 y/o. I'll see him in the kingdom of Heaven one day I hope.
This is love of God and country like no other! You are right, there are no words to desciber how his soulful renditions make us feel, especially in performances like this one, & during these times ! Elvis will never "leave the building" because he is with us in spirit through his God given music! Great reaction!
My father listened to Elvis everyday I grew up loving his voice. I love that he brings everyone together no matter the age the race or whatever. Elvis made the world see Gospel music as something that belongs to be free not just in church. He showed unity before it was cool and he also showed that sex was not something we should hide it's a part of being human. He opened so many doors. He made white people love black music and by doing that he opened another door. The dream is that someday we will all love each other no matter the race or religion. One love.
Elvis is just the best, just the best. The voice was so rich and dynamic. His jumpsuit game reigns supreme. He ripped through the fabric of time for all to see!

He had stage presence likes of which has never been seen since. His charisma and looks combined with the stage presence is why all performer s are measured against. They all come up short.he was one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.
Overwhelming genuine love I've always felt for this man and his music,,,Truely God's gift to us all,,💕
Elvis was the most gorgeous human God ever created!
What a real and heartfelt reaction. It truly is the most powerful song behind the national anthem.
Le Marseillaise?
I love your reaction videos and you understand Elvis. I feel it too. I'm 64 and discovered Elvis when I was 5 years old. There is nobody like him. He is the only man that makes me cry when I hear him sing. I'm a huge Zeppelin fan but Elvis is the king!!!
Absolutely ❤
This gets me all choked up!
What a man.
What a performer.
What an American.
Eddie Murphy said it best, Elvis had Presence that’s nobody else has had. He was Truly Special!
Damn straight Donny. Good to see you on here.
Thats all he had.Name a song he wrote?
Linda Dimira who cares if he wrote a song. That has no bearing on success. Quit hating hater.
@@sr80bassguy Im watching the good fight ministries Elvis sold his soul.Watch it if you think im kidding.Google it.And Elvis wasn't the King of nothing.Devil worshipper .where is he at now?Dead as hell.
Linda Dimira you disrespectful bitch
2020 & it still gives goosebumps. Today's music cannot even come close, his performances were a next level experience from his soul
If you listen to any of Elvis Presley's song's and you don't feel it ... you ain't alive .
And in sad times Elvis gives life, my late mother got through decades of hard times inspired by Elvis....and a bit Jesus. I've finally converted to Elvis I feel the power , he's more than a performer, the goat, I realise why mum went to Graceland 6 times now lol
Thank you for listening to this. I played it at my mom’s funeral. It hits hard.
April Gallimore, my Mom loved listening to Elvis singing Gospel, so we played Elvis at her funeral too. ❤
🌹🇺🇸
Nobody NO BO DY , can bring it like ELVIS
Gives me the goosebumps every single time I hear this song by Elvis
Jamel... I'm sitting at the computer, two cats sleeping, one rabbit napping and the BIG turtles are keeping to themselves.. but here I am... clapping loudly, caught in the moments with you and well, whoever is watching... What a performance... Bless you..
That will make a grown man cry!👑👑👑👑👑 Nobody can sing or perform like this. One and done!
Eddie Murphy said that when Elvis appears, every eye is fixed on him. Many stars said that when Elvis entered a room, you didn't have to see him to know he was there, you felt him!! Whether a room, a stage,or a screen... Elvis got all the attention. He lived 42 years. He's been gone 42 years. We miss you Elvis. Thank God for the gift of Elvis. ELVIS. Enough said.🌹⚡
The trilogy part of the title refers to the three segments of the song “Dixie” for the South (where Elvis was born), “Battle Hymn of the Republic” for the North-and country as a whole, and ‘All My Trials,” an African American spiritual. Brilliant!
THERE'LL NEVER BE ANOTHER ELVIS PRESLEY, HE'S ONE OF A KIND! BEST SINGER EVER!
It sends cold chills down your spine and your arms he had an amazing voice
Im 58 and my dad took me to see him when I was 10 years old. I could not believe what I saw. Perfect memory of seeing him to this day.
👍🏾
I saw him in 1972 at 11 years old in Greensboro, NC
an american gift to the world
Wow great comment
Another drug addict preaching the evils of drugs. Still, does not detract from his talent, his music to the world.
Im 60 yrs old and Im glad that after discovering these reaction videos im revisiting and appreciating the music I grew up with, and ive said before with that voice and passion Elvis was a force of nature, RIP Elvis.
Elvis was touched by god. There will never be another legend like him. Loved and missed by millions. Great example of God's love
The man is more than a legend ...... He's an ICON
I was at Graceland, in the trophy room staring at that jumpsuit in a glass case and that video came on. Yes my kids watched me cry for the first time since my mother died. It was just overwhelming. Thank you King and Mickey Newberry.
finally some one gave a little credit to the writer of this emotional song. mickey newbury.
Do you see how far away he held that microphone away from his mouth? The man had the most powerful voice and he was taken from us too soon.
love the way Elvis looks at his
band as if to say" Give me everything you've got and I will
send this song into the stratosphere !
No one can make you feel every single note like the KING ❤️❤️❤️❤️
he is still the king and no one will ever match him never !!! I myself am from 1977 and have been roused with his music at home thanks to my dad. his music is timeless .... he is the real king .... greetings from Belgium

Put simply..... This is “The King” at his MAJESTIC BEST ✊️🤩🤚⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely true
Wendell Babcock ..... From 3:24 - 3:48.... That flute solo..... Man, that was haunting & beautiful but did a magnificent job of building up the true beauty of what was to come (the epic finish) 🔥✊️👑👌🔥
Being a Southern Woman, this song touches me deeply. Thank you. Whitney Houston’s Momma sitting there all classy! If you don’t know, read up on his whole band and singers. The best of the best in music history. A great read, very interesting. And no one, NO ONE treated their team and their families better than Elvis.
Awesome
Scotland here, I loved the South especially Memphis
Peace ✌
@@craigmclaughlin9552 Scotch-Irish in Tennessee here. Love of Scotland is still in our blood even if Carrick/Lockhart ancestors left in the 1700s.
Nobody like Elvis!!! That man was Greatness!!!
When I was a young kid in the early 80's we had this aloha VHS tape, and my dad played this song over and over and over and over and he would have tears running down his face every single time
I still do it every time I hear him! Memories of your childhood, love for his fellow man, Elvis was a teacher of humanity as much as an entertainer.
Elvis is for every generation. ..He thought he would not be remembered. ..If you want to see him "rock the planet " his "Suspicious Minds" song and "Polk Salad Annie" songs in his
Las Vegas concert are fantastic! !
Agree....”what you looking at back there??”
@@dwainev1376 definitely never forget!🙏
Gone but will NEVER be forgotten. He was the epitome of Amazing in every way.
That would have to go down as my all-time favorite Elvis song. Raw animal energy with passion
There will never be another, but I'm confidant he's in Heaven singing and praising God with that beautiful voice.
And he always told people that no one would remember him.
I'll always remember elvis Presley
Really ???!!
@@rutxevilar6340 Yes, I have heard multiple people say during interviews, that they would be telling him about his fame, and he would always say Nah, they will forget about me after I'm gone.
@@wgnation351 I wish he could see how much people love him and still miss him!
I love seeing new generations discovering great singers like Elvis Presley. He was THE MAN!
I was sitting in front of my family's television set, also!!! He was absolutely SPECTACULAR!
ELVIS CAN ALWAYS TAKE YOU ON AN EMOTIONAL RIDE WITH HIM. He is/was an amazing singer ,entertainer, and human being.
This is one of the best performance Elvis has ever given.
I really love the fact that I see the younger generation watch this incredible performer and enjoy it so much he was and always will be a king
A boy from Tupelo..who became the King..
Not just a boy, a poverty, great depression stricken boy
Many could probably write music but only Elvis could tell the story, forever the King.........
I'm crying
'Describe Elvis Presley? He was the greatest who ever was, is, or will ever be'. - Chuck Berry
I played this at my Father's funeral with his coffin in our house. I was aged 20. I am now 62, never forget. A legend sang it for another legend! My Dad!
The range that Elvis had was amazing. At least 4 octaves.
Yes, yes, yes!!! I'm glad somebody recognized that. His range was surpassed by only one person, Roy Orbison and Elvis acknowledged that.
There will never be another Elvis ♥️ he was god's gift to the world 💘
It's almost like he knew something we didn't know ! So sad.
Nobody can produce the energy like that now , untouchable .
Simply the best! He was a one of kind that will always be missed! A voice and charisma like no other! Love me some Elvis!!
You can admire Elvis all you want but DAMN DID YOU SEE THAT BLING !!!! 💎💎💎💎👑👑👑
"All my trials, Lord. Soon be over.." Can't help but tear up when he sings that line." 😔
Anmerican Trilogy well what can you say except it was a show stopper, fantastic
There will never be another performer with this much power, presence, talent, and vocal range. He passed when I was barely 1 y/o. I'll see him in the kingdom of Heaven one day I hope.
This is love of God and country like no other! You are right, there are no words to desciber how his soulful
renditions make us feel, especially in performances like this one, & during these times ! Elvis will never "leave the building" because he is with us in spirit through his God given music!
Great reaction!
There will never be another singer/performer like Elvis Presley. Amazing to the day the good lord took him away.
One love.
Elvis had one of the best bands of all. I love his live music
I don't know how many times I've seen/heard this, but it still gives me goosebumps and leaves me all choked up.
Elvis is just the best, just the best. The voice was so rich and dynamic. His jumpsuit game reigns supreme. He ripped through the fabric of time for all to see!
Absolutely superb. I don't think anyone today has that presence on stage, he truly was a superb singer and person, what a beautiful heart-wrenching performance. So full of emotion and sincerity.
Americas finest entertainer. Elvis Presley.🇺🇸🇺🇸🐓🇺🇸
Pure perfection!! Gives me chills.
No words , just wow. Elvis was Amazing...😊
So much Elvis in one day!! It couldn't get more perfect! Thank you✌❣

Jamal, I like Elvis fine and know he was a force of nature, but I really appreciate you are bringing genreations and ethnicities together in this time of hatred and division. " Love thy neighbor" is not a cliche it is the tough work of brave souls. Thanks.
