  • Hello Drewrees! I hope you are all keeping well.
    We are back with an updated Ghana butter bread recipe, this recipe is much more detailed and very easy to follow, very buttery and smells great when baking! So bring your margarine and come bake bread with us.
    Ingredients:
    4cups plain flour or bread flour (512 gr)
    8tbsp butter or 110gr or 1/2 cup
    1 tbsp sugar
    1 and 1/2 cup warm water (360ml)
    1tsp nutmeg powder
    1/2 tbsp dried active yeast
    1tsp salt

    I literally just tried this recipe today and it taste really good. It’s not too sweet either which I like. The only problem was I turned my oven heat up because what you recommended was too low. I bake mine at 350F for about an hour. My family finished half of the bread in less than an hour🤣

      Awww!! Im happy you love it! Yeah the temperature with the oven are sometimes not accurate, so it needs adjusting ❤️❤️

      Hello dear it’s just dried yeast the one you have to let his before using it, you can also use instant yeast

    Please do you mean 180 degrees Fahrenheit or celsius. Because i tried celsius and the bread sure gets burnt after 40 mins in that temperature

      It depends on the oven type too sometimes, I am using a fan oven maybe bake it at at 160-170c and either you put a bowl of water in the oven while baking it or you put stowed on top of it immediately after it’s out of the oven to prevent hard crust

      @@kelvinkporti6042 oh ok well it sometimes depends on the margarine or butter they use and the lighting also plays a role, the bread can look more or less golden depending on my lighting. I hope this helps
