This is by far my favorite original PTX Christmas song. The relatively simple melody just sounds like something you'd hear on the radio during December - it's one of my pet peeves that this song never got any airplay. And the video with the home videos of the members as kids celebrating with their families is just too cute for words!
The only thing I wish for this song is that Kirstie had a little solo in it. I think her voice would be absolutely perfect singing this song!

When my son was about 5 I bought him one of those child size batman dolls and wrote a letter to him from Santa. I will never forget the look of joy on his tiny face. I don't know what I did with that letter. Been many years since that Christmas morning.
That was my Christmas morning too. Such magic happened in the morning. Usually my parents maybe got an hour sleep before we all woke them.

This always brings tears to my eyes. The harmonies here are heartbreaking to me. You're right about how crushed we were when we discovered that Santa wasn't real. But he was. They often perform this around one mic or without a mic if they are in a small enough arena. The crowd just goes silent for it.

When I knew the truth about Santa, it killed me because my parents played all the tricks. I'm 63 and I am still wondering what else they lied to me about. It took them a long time to gain my trust again. I sure do miss them.
