This is what the producers didn’t want us to see from Nia! This was one of Nias best solos ever and they didn’t even show us the good version of it. Her tricks were clean and her technique was good. But of course lifetime won’t let us see how talented Nia truly is!
Her aeirals in the beginning were sooo good! So much improvement from the year before! Also her leaps, tricks energy and confidence were on point here!
I’m 2 years late but in season 1 gia was a little upset with Nia cause she wasn’t using her flexibility and said “you have one of the stretchiest backs in the studio and ur giving me this!”
Abby did not give Nia enough credit for her performance value. During all her solos I’m watching her face more than anything else. Even if her choreography wasn’t challenging enough for her, she still brought it with her face. Love her!!
I really like this dance--the way Nia danced it, but also, the fact that it wasn't an ethnic solo, which she seemed to have a lot of on Dance Moms. It would have worked equally well for a young female dancer of any race.
i wish she could have continued to do slow afro routines and abby invested more time in her this way. she had so much potential as an acrobat just had to work on her technique
Also i almost hate to ask but with full credit given to you would you mind if i edited some with the version on the show to make the full dance? Again totally fine if not i understand you worked hard to get these :)
Adamtapz he said that he will, but she forget and we get the video that she forget instead of the one when they did let her go again, so it won’t be the full dance sadly
This was really good. I think that the problem on the show is that technique didn’t come naturally to Nia. And because of that her solos ended up looking sloppy because she needed more time to perfect it. Whereas Maddie had the natural technique so learning a routine and getting out on the stage with it didn’t take as long. Nia wasn’t a bad dancer, the turnaround time was too short for her.
Nia was a fabulous dancer but as usual, this choreography is so dumb. That squat and roll your shoulders back and forth movement was put in it three different times, why? Abby and Giana gave her dances and outfits absolutely no creativity or thought.

Nia was so underrated when it came to acro! Her tricks were sooo good! And she had alot of sharp sassy energy!

Nia was NEVER 'bad' the producers needed a weak link and ofc they choose nia, because she was the only colored girl at the time.
she did tilts with both legs. most dancers do just one leg but she did both sides back to back. 👏🏾
