I have 2 8 kilowatt amps and a 2 kilowatt amp 14 batteries and a 300 amp alternator, when I turn it up loud my voltage quickly drops to low 12 s and if I let it run for a minute it’s into the 11-10 range, at that point I must turn it down or something will blow
Merry Christmas. My brother just purchased this amp. He will be running 4 ZV5 15’s on it at 1ohm. He has the high output alt and XS batteries. He was running a 4500.1 and two ZV5 15’s. No wall. Just a box. Very loud and. Oh and he ran the amp at .5 ohm. Sundown amps and subs are bad ass. That is why I just purchased a ZV5 18 with a nightshade spider and a spl cone. I will make sure he watch this video.

4GB MEANS 4GB the system is being done over so I can’t show you. I can yell you how it was set up and how much power we ran to the amp. We had four lithium XS batteries with a mechman 370 alt with the control for the voltage. We did two runs of power and ground from the front to back with the big three. We ran double zero power and ground to the amp. Never dropped below 13.8 volts at full power. Had it metered at Dukes car audio. Don’t have any proof but it did that number.
Finally someone that actually explained the dyno reactive impedance, shitty rebassed music with the DD-1 instead of just showing numbers and buying a DD-1. People just believe they will get that wattage regardless in the vehicle. Good shit Derrick.

Would love to see what that amp actually puts out at 12.3 voltsthe reason I say this is because a lot of people that do not have all of the upgrades and just running 12v battery we'll end up at times around 12.3 to 12.8 volts when listening to their music would love to see what the amp is actually doing at these amperage and volts
If you run this amp on one stock battery it will blow!!! 100%. Do not run anything over 2k on stock electrical and that too much for most cars. Most cars are only good for around 1k Watts and some trucks will handle 2k with stock electrical

You would need one on each sub wired to half on each. Even then those subs could still handle more I bet. If money isn't an object then a salt 8 on each sub at half ohm

I would run them at half ohm. Then you can play subs at full potential and still have reserve power for burps since burps the can handle way more power for short period of time. Plus you can send them to the moon then if you ever want to get new recones
Uncertified tests make the amp work harder = more voltage drop, more heat, more stress. It's one of the ways I torture test the amps on the test bench.

I use to dream of owning this amplifier until, I saw the numbers Orion HCCA amps make on the dyno. The Orion HCCA 5000.1, beats this amp easily. Sorry sundown.
2 FAST & 2 LOUD!!! Personally I've owned both. Orion 5000splx stomps on the 7500 at 12V but 14.4V they are pretty matched. I've clamped 8900 watts at 14.1 1ohm out of a 5000splx. Sundown did about the same numbers. But at 12V the Orion killed the sundown. I personally prefer the 5000splx cause of its smaller footprint and honestly it sounds better to me. Considering you can get a HCCA 5000splx and a highout alt plus a battery for the price of one 7500 consider it a win.
I have had orion amps before I had my sundown 3ks very good amps for the money, but they don't have the clip light like sundown and even with a dd1 you can still get dirty power at the right frequency, lows make me clip early, but with that said ill most likely end up running orion amps again, but I ain't selling my x15s lol.

If your voltage is at 12-12.5 you need to upgrade your electrical. I see no less than 13.2 at full tilt while at idle.
My stock electrical on my Yukon rest anywhere from 13.8-14.2 volts. If your in the low 12s then that's bad. Your alt probably is about to die

Those sub are gonna barely be moving on that amp, I'm running 2 zv5 12s @ .4 ohms with the same amp and they take it well.
What is your voltage? Right now we are running a 4500.1 at a half ohm at 14.5 with dual zero gauge to the amp. We are a little over 7k

You can't run a amp of this size on size on stock electrical.

If you want to be safe stick to no more than 96v unloaded with a 0db test tone at your enclosure's peak frequency.

Doing a wall with 4x12v2 subs in a 2004 Maxima. 9.5-10ft³ with around 155 in of port area probably tuned to 33hz... I needs me one of these. Bad!!
