Black Bear Pass, you don't have to be crazy to drive this road, but it helps - C.W. McCall 😨 Looked like a good time. 👍🏻😎
When I say rock, I mean rock, now look at what you got there, ain't no bigger than a grapefruit
I enjoy your buddies energy and the way you two mesh. Hope to see him in more of your videos.
Part 1 looks like such a fun adventure! Excited to see Pt. 2. Those truck set ups are killer! Well dialed in for sure.
Love the videos. Keep em coming. Thanks for showing us the great views.
Such a great episode, glad you guys popped up on my suggested feed. Looking forward to more.
Great Vid, again...Glad you finally filmed in CO. I just spent 2 weeks there, with a short trip to MOAB..Watching was kinda like following myself around...
Thanks for posting and keep em coming....Come on Part 2!!!!!
Down hill in the rain on rocks and doing switchbacks, awesome! Not sure I'd be able to do that because I don't want to die just yet. Great video!!!
Crazy trip we'll done thanks for sharing 👍
Dude hammer down! That looks like a blast. Been watching some of your older vids for a bit... good stuff!!
Yo! I appreciate that!
Epic video! Black Bear Pass is definitely on the bucket list! Great footage of the trail and the views! For the mini trucks definitely recommend getting some weight in them! Always recommend starting at 60/40 weight distribution on them. Once weighted they are insane! Stick on wheel weights inside your tires and on the front of them work epic! Can't wait for part 2
Appreciate it!!
Was about to go to bed, but I can only sleep in peace after watching this 🤙
Haha thanks!
Definitely on my bucket list one day, great vid BTW.
A super fascinating video. THANKS Greetings from Austria.
Fun video thank you for sharing.
Nice man. Cool intro, with great content! Cheers!
Did BB on 7/27/22 for the first time. Hail and mudslides add a whole new element of scary.
Another great one. You are making me want to go there and tackle this in my little poser. 😬
Great video! As always!
Ahhh! So glad this is out. I’ve been checking all week for it. Super cool.
Amazing as always. Rig setups are on point!
Thanks!
HELL YEA!!! ONLY PART 1!!!!! Needed this today! You're living the life bro!
Thank you so much!!
@@ArkansasOffroad hey Grant so I was thinking about getting a Jeep Wrangler or another F150 for over landing… but heard that Jeep’s have a lot of issues. Have you found this to be true? Also I have three kids only one in car seat you think the jeep would be a good daily driver? Thank man
Awesome video! My dad and I did BBR two weeks ago in our stock Tacoma TRD Pros. Some “big chonkers” would’ve saved some paint underneath multiple times.
Hahaha nice!
Sketchy coming down those wet steps. Yikies!
Great video. Can’t believe you did it in the rain!
Thanks!! Was sketch but super fun.
I will make it out there on one epic roadtrip within the next few years. Bank it! Love the video 🙌
Thank you!
Great looking trip, go Hogs!
🐷
Always an Inspiration. keep it up
!
Thank yoU!
Beautiful video.
Hello from Turin; Italy 🇮🇹
love the video, I really want to go there sometime!
Epic video! Keep it up man!
Black bear is a must for any overlanding enthusiast! Thanks for not adding that “CZcams” music. Ugh almost every video has that annoying music. 👍
Looks amazing bro! Also, "mushroom." 😂 Can't wait for part 2. Keep up the good work man!
Lol squirrel brain. Thanks!!
Awesome content badass rigs
Hey I'm glad you made it to Colorado I sure wish you'd give my son a kick in the rear. LOL he needs that little extra nudge to start filming some of his adventures, the Jeep is still going on them. They're just not being documented. I would really like to see your new truck and the old one go jeeping together. Maybe as a surprise maybe.
Passing afternoon storms are common in the mountains out West. If you wait a little while, they will pass and it's safer to drive.
VERY COOL !!!!!!
It would be so cool if you brought us along into the grocery store, got to watch you pack the fridge and then cook when you got set up at camp.I look forward to doing this myself,so if we could see you do it while we can’t away from our grinds as much as we like-it would be awesome!
Yeah that's a great point! I've done that in my older videos and love the end result, but sometimes I like not filming things ha. Can be super taxing behind a camera every minute of a trip, but I get you wanna see it! I'll try my best to include a little more.
@@ArkansasOffroad thank you so much!I am sure I’m not the only one who will love it!
I just did this same trip in July. This was nothing compared to the two way traffic on Imogene pass on the at the end near telluride . People had half their tires hanging off the cliff. I back down it a way to avoid passing on the outside.
I’m from Texas but my main stomping grounds are the Ouchita national forrest. Just spent 10 days in Ouray and had a chance to do all of the passes in the area. If you haven’t wheeled mineral creek to lake city, you should give it a try.
Pretty cool to see Mr Demolition Ranch for into overlanding
Great trip and video! What lights are you running on the front of your truck? They look supper sweeeet.
Black Bear Road is on my bucket list, right after i put in Unimog portal axles for extra weight, rear steering for the insane switchbacks, and figure out how to install an ejection seat in my 1984 Toyota Xtracab pickup. j/k
First one to get to Telluride without a tag on your toe wins!
I've probably done Black Bear 10 times but never in the rain. Early October was amazing, late October it was too snowed in to do it.
Yep. Did it back in July, same conditions.
That intro ⚡⚡🤙🏾🤙🏾
Awesome work, looking out for part 2! Been considering a Waterport here as well - how are you liking it so far?
Absolutely love it. It’s a big bonus that the mount mounts directly to the track in the factory Tacoma bed rail. I bought it second hand from a friend and the manual hand pump broke on me on this trip, but the compressed air fitting still works. So to pressurize it, I just hook up my air compressor to the fitting for a few seconds. The 3.8 gallons lasted about a week with casual use. One day on the trip I actually took a full shower. Filled it up twice in the 2 weeks I was out.
@@ArkansasOffroad Gotcha, the compressed fitting does seem like it makes things a heck of a lot quicker. Thanks for sharing!
I've done this twice, one month ago to be exact, but in the sun with no clouds in sight!
Awesome!!
This was still closed when we came back from Moab this year. Got to do Engineer and Ophir. Will be back next summer!
Bummer! Gotta do it next time
Seen so many videos making this so crazy and you guys did it like nothing in the rain lol
Haha it's really not hard! Just takes some focus.
Love the content! new subscriber here🤙
Absolutely stunning views! However, I would have shit my pants haha
Love the trucks.
Great video can't wait to get my tacoma and start my off road in Las Vegas
🤘🏼
Sick video!
I like how in every video, going down the step is like "Slow, Slow, Slow"... as if simply maintaining a tiny bit of momentum and just continuing to drive smoothly off of it will result in certain death! I like the 1:1 "camping truck" to go "hardcore wheelin" the tiny trucks. Heck that's how I got into tiny trucks, as an auxiliary hobby to do while rock crawling/camping.
very nice place
very perfect trucks
How's that LEER cap holding up with the roof top tent, and how is it mounted on there?
your truck looks clean like new. where are your Ozark scratches? have you buffed or resprayed the sides? great setups 👍🏾
Nope! The camera is deceiving. There’s tons of scratches everywhere. You can especially see when up close.
only tacos builds lets go!!!! gotta love it
Thank you for this content! Sorry if I missed it, what size tires on your bud’s rig?
Thanks! 285/75/R16's on the white truck
Had to do it in the rain a month ago as well. Not ideal, but not as bad as I thought it would be.
Super Super video.
Omg , what an extrem way , make me frighten .
Love the HE>i stickers. Yewwww
how has your 4g lte extender been holding up, have you noticed a difference running it at all?
If Bear Pass alone doesn't ring your bell the altitude will. GREAT and informative footage! Excellent editing! Gosh! It doesn't get much better! Looks like to me that any advertiser would be knocking the doors down to get on your channel. Just sayin!
Excellent video! Looks like you guys had a big time! Where you from in Oklahoma? I went to college in Tulsa
Great vid! Any clues on where you camped? Looks like a terrific campsite! Thanks!
Great video...you guys have it in 2wd on switch backs?
Nice rigs, when is the double swing out rear bumper available in Backwoods website?
Very soon! A couple weeks or so
Great video. Those are called TACOS.
I did the Black Bear Pass in July this year, in a stock 100 series land cruiser.
I didn't have any off road experience, and I was alone. This was my first off road trip.
I made thru without any issue. There were 3 spots where I got really scared, but other than that it was quite doable.
I agree with you 300%... Camera and Video don't do justice. You HAVE TO be there to see the breathtaking scene all around you.
Wow! It's not that easy! Did you see the video of the Jeep just rolling down that mountain?
I sure did! THat driver was not paying attention
How cold was it over there? I'm planning on taking leave to do a trip in November (I want snow)
👍🏻👍🏻 i like
good! I have a question. What kind of fog lights are on the rear bumper?
What do you guys use to hold your propane tanks in place?
I just spent a few days camping in North Carolina in a tent.
How bad does it suck sleeping in your tent while it rains ?
It’s loud on the tent and my dog hated it
Just did this trail... Getting flashbacks of my breaker fluid going out 😩
I went last week on my 1st gen Colorado and the road is way narrow now used it to be 1 or 2 years ago bro 😢
Bro. I love your videos so much!! I can't wait to do this trail one day!!
You know that the power outlet only runs at 100 watts while you drive (think you might have mentioned it).
Is that a GMRS antenna on your bumper?
If so which one?
Yo how can i get more info on that scuba tank compressor deal.. it's pretty rad!! I really want to build one. I'm curious on how he did his up...
Sweet footage by the way !!!! Keepfilming #keephammering
Thanks! Probably just search the forums or something. I’m sure there’s lots online out there
I really want to drive that pass in my New Jimny!!!!!
Great video. What app are you using? I like how it shows the elevation changes.
Gaia GPS
@@ArkansasOffroad sweet thanks for the reply!
Of all the BBP videos I've watched this is the ONLY one that gives any real perspective of how freaking STEEP some of the trail is.
What gearing are you guys running?
Cool vid man, appreciate it! Wondering what mount you are using for the in reach mini? Subd👊🏻🇺🇸
Thanks! It's from RAM
I know it's not that difficult but dang I don't know if I'm brave enough to do it. I am going out there in May and can't wait.
Awesome! It’s not difficult, just stay focused the whole time.
Your eyeballs are not ready for the majestic sights they are going to see. When he says that video does it absolutely no justice, he’s making a huge understatement. There are no words to describe this area. The trail is nowhere near as epic as the landscape that it crosses.
@@Jtfogle82 Haha 100% agree!
Nice love from india 🇮🇳
Cool video! Do you run with your front sway bar removed/disconnected?
Thank you! Front sway bar has been removed.
Saludos desde la vega república Dominicana 🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴👍👍👍
What type of mount do you have for your Ipad? Cheers
I gotta ask. We're you at all nervous? I mean I'd be nervous in perfect weather lol. I'm not too fond of heights but it keeps me on my toes in situations like that
Honestly, I wasn't for some reason. The trail itself is easy, it's just all about focus and going slow. I've done much harder obstacles that scared me more than this
Nice footage and beautiful rigs! What size tires are y'all running?
I have 285/75/R17's and the white truck is on 285/75/R16's
@@ArkansasOffroad Wow! Seems like 33s is all it takes. 🤔
I was just there Second week of August!
Just missed ya!
🤘🤘🤘
“The perspective is insane… THERES A MUSHROOM”
Where can I get one of those rig toys?
