When I start I spend almost allmy spare time cutting down the trees in my farm since day 2. If you cut in a system: oak->pine->maple->oak... you can craft snack every 3 trees or so. Eat it and you basically can do it al day long. No Net energy cost.

when you stand that far out to fish (in the ocean) i don't think you need to cast out fully to be able to catch gold quality since it's based off the type of tile, saves time if you don't cast fully and instead just cast your line out a little bit
Wouldn't it be better to save the fish until you get the fishing level 5 perk worth 25% more? Although I guess it would be better to get that bag first.
Your screen resolution is off. Set it higher and that should fix it. I normally keep my screen at a lower resolution so reading is easier, but for this game I have to set it to it's highest resolution to get the whole game on screen. I think you can do that in the game settings which would be easier.
Casaundra Truffles Sadly, I play fullscreen and it's locked in. I think I'm like, 1360x760? something like that. Anyways, I'll try it with the windowed version! EDIT: Window version isn't locked in, I'm pretty sure.
I have to completely disagree with Al Sweigert. I really enjoy the soft transitions. Sometimes when people use simple jump cuts it shows a lack of creativity.
Which fish you're catching can sometimes depend on how far you cast, as well. I've found that I get more sardines with shorter casts. That might help you out.
never sell seeds x_x you get 0g for them and they can be used to get sellable or edible crops. (the only seeds you get money for are the ones for trees)

You would basically do exactly the same thing, but on the dock instead and it would take a bit longer. You won't make as much gold early on and you'll gain fishing levels slower, which will throw off your timeline so don't expect to get to a million as fast, but it's just about exactly the same otherwise I would assume.

Good video, but the transitions were really hurting my eyes after a while. A simple jump cut would be fine.

I think that trick has been fixed, I've been hearing that it doesn't work anymore and I tried it and it didn't work either.

If you're going to plant crops you should plant them as close as possible to the box so you don't have to waste time running to it.

no it's a regular fish. it can be found in the ocean during spring, fall and winter, so just keep fishing until you finally catch it
