    THANKS FOR WATCHING!
    P.S. I got my speed ramping “whoosh” sounds from both Epidemic Sounds and StoryBlocks.

    Absolute life saver to make the ramp into a 'hill' instead of a 'mountain'. Always wondered why my footage looked so choppy!

    Awesomest tutorial I've seen today. I've been speeding videos up to get through slow points, but ramping the velocity will definitely smooth things up. Thanks for sharing, Alex...

    Alex, huge thanks. Because of you and the advice and information you put out, I’ve really been able to ramp up my business. I’m excited to start hitting up video work now. Thanks dawg.

  • @floridasbestdroneandvideo3503

    Best video on the subject I've seen. Thanks for explaining what speed you raised it to. I wasn't getting the results I wanted because I was only raising speed like 200 percent.

    This is awesome! I just asked about speed ramping on one of your last videos. Then I typed it into CZcams and this video popped up. Congrats on owning this algorithm

    In order to do this speed ramping, on what fps is recommended to shoot? Thank you

  • @matthummel1279
    @matthummel1279 Před rokem

    Do you shoot in a high FPS or do you use optical flow on your clips for slo-mo my camera only shoots in 24 or 30 fps.

    I just binged literally all your real estate videos! Amazing channel, so glad I found it.
    Earlier today I was doing some test shots, and I noticed that the expensive, high quality CPL filter that I have on my 16-35 zeiss lens, is making some weird dark lines and shapes over the windows that are underexposed for window pulls. I didn’t hear you talk about CPL filters in any of your videos, how do you deal with completely blown out highlights on floors near windows, or how do you deal with nasty reflections in TVs if you don’t use CPLs? If you do use CPLs, have you had problems with underexposed windows as well? Would love to hear from you!

    • @AlexSerrao
      @AlexSerrao  Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t use CPLs at all. With a bracketed image you really don’t need them in my opinion.

    Nice!! wondering to know what was the Frame rate for those video clips?

  • @julianuk3266

    the slowing down to 50% and nesting is confusing me a bit. I always interpret footage to the same as the sequence i'm creating. I always use a 30fps sequence. For all interiors i shoot at 60fps, then i interpret all footage down to 30fps. Except for drone, as that is 30fps (mine is a mav2 pro) i can only shoot 4k in 30fps. So i wouldn't slow that down. That part is confusing me, unless you're shooting drone at 4k/60 ? and why does nesting bring it back up to 100% maybe i need to watch this video one more time...

    • @AlexSerrao
      @AlexSerrao  Před 2 lety +2

      I think I may have said it a little weird or didn’t explain it enough. You certainly can interpret the footage like you mentioned. I usually don’t interpret the footage personally. But nesting it gives me that new clip no matter what I’ve done to it beforehand. So a lot of times for example I will reverse the clip which makes speed ramping confusing and hard to work with. But it you nest it it’s much easier to work with.

  • @WasatchWheeler
    @WasatchWheeler Před rokem

    What does nesting do?

    • @AlexSerrao
      @AlexSerrao  Před rokem

      Sets the slowed down speed or reversed speed to now look like a regular 100% speed to make it easier to interpret what you need to do to the clip

    I'm not a speed-ramp hater, but I am seeing so heavely used with jerky video that makes them look jarring. They are definately being overused these days. I wonder if we will look back and say "remember a few years ago when we speed-rapmed everything!"
