I covered an early build of this four years ago, but the full game's just been released and it's pretty damn awesome. This video features all of the bosses and my favourite levels from each zone. It's a very unique feeling game with brutally tough level design and a soundtrack that's already earned a place in my all-time favorites.
Also, the total death count at the end is a bug. I did die a lot while playing the game, but not quite that much!

The music during the first boss fight slaps so hard. There was something deeply satisfying about that whole sequence.
i'm certain that the part where he died was entirely unintentional, but it made the drop so much better
I suggest you watch the video where he does the demo, the ost leading to the boss provides a good build up

It is rare to find such an optimized and musically synched game that is hard metal rock and also PG. Not a metal head but I could see this hooking a lot of new younger kids.

This is basically Just Shapes and Beats, but if the devs had heavy/death metal artist x Mick Gordon collab, and the entire playlist of the game's songs are up next to Mick Gordon's DOOM (2016 and Eternal) OSTs! Sick gameplay🤙✌️

I'm surprised this got finished! Kudos to 'em, because finishing a game can be a hard thing to do.
I see the game took really heavy inspiration from the final boss of "Just Shapes and Beats" for this final boss. Including the exact thing of spiky balls shepherding you into the biting mouth then you can shoot lasers on the beat.
But it's really cool to have a grungy variant of Just Shapes and Beats, this game was a treat!

That final boss was also sick as fuck. Can we just talk about how sick the music pieces with vocal tracks are though. That sold the final boss so fuckin' hard.

It's got some clear VVVVVVV and Just Shapes and Beats influences on its sleeve, with a straight up VVVVVVV section and that final boss part seemed awfully familiar.....but it does all of it incredibly well, the timing and mechanics stay fresh, the different genres of music all sound amazing, and it really does feel like hell: but also was very fair with the checkpoints. Even if I don't buy the game, I'm buying the soundtrack.
