    can not find a solid video/forum covering how to remove the bottom section of the lower intake manifold, this guy dove deep into detail and covered all bases 🙌🏻 so easy 26:03

      You’re most welcome, I’m glad you found the video helpful! Honestly the lower intake manifold was probably the hardest part of an otherwise fairly straightforward head removal, thought it would be helpful to show exactly where the bolts/nuts are so that people don’t have to spin their wheels like I had to haha.
      Thanks for watching! 😀

    There are some steps that are n I t required for NON-VVTI ge heads. The is a vvti 2jzge head(no distributor, intake cam is completely different for starters). Just keep this detail in mind if you're watching and you have a 92-94 sc300 with a ge non vvti cylinder head.

    • @theautochap
      @theautochap  Před 2 měsíci

      Good point! However the non vvti head on SC 300s is 1992-97, not just 92-94.

      @@jvst20051 in the next video, I will be showing how to pull the block from the car and disassemble it. The block is currently at the machine shop getting bored and honed, so it might be a while before I can put the head back on. I will definitely make a video for it though once I can!

    Will you be going turbo in the future?

    • @theautochap
      @theautochap  Před rokem +3

      Unfortunately not, as this is my daily driver and I don’t want to deal with the hassle of getting it smogged with a standalone ECU. I do have plans to go down the NA-T route in the future with another chassis, and when I do I will most definitely document that here on my channel.

      Hi Pale Rider, appreciate the kind words and thank you for watching! :)
      Since Chilton/Haynes do not make a manual for our cars (very weird because they seem to have one for IS 300s), I use the official Toyota/Lexus factory service manual. It is the most complete service manual you could ask for and has literally everything you ever need while working on a 2nd gen. GS 300.
      You can purchase it for around 32 USD at the link: www.emanualonline.com/search/?q=2004%20gs300
      Hope that helps!
      And the next video in the series is coming soon, so stay tuned :)

      @@theautochap Thank you. When I go to auto parts store, I can never find manual. Official manual is better. I will look for that instead.
