She said it herself that 135 is near death impossible for her to make.. in the same way it was for Cyborg and all those disturbing videos of cris in pain trying to cut.. so im assuming theyre going to ask Holm to go up to 145 between now and then.. even 145 will be hard but 135.. you may as well not rely on the fight happening st all

Why would Kayla agree to a fight at 135 when she can't even make that weight, idk how that's going to work out for her but if by some miracle she does make that weight how is going to perform being near death the night before. Kayla Harrison has to lose mass, there's no way she can just cut weight to make 135.
That's probably why PFL thought they had Kayla for at least one more in PFL. They didn't see her going down to 135, which was her only option with the UFC. We'll see!

You really need to get a live interview re-booked with Kayla as soon as possible so we can hear the truth about why she decided to sign with the UFC at 135 instead of 145, and why she didn’t stay in PFL for at least one more fight to fight Cyborg since the merger with Bellator made this scenario finally a possibility and reality.
I think it's obvious. The only way she could sign with the UFC was at 135 and she knows the spotlight is much bigger in the UFC. She's not young and might not have the time to wait around for a Cyborg fight. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Kayla is going to fight at 145. Why do you think Amanda Nunes made a special appearance at ufc 297 and talked about a possible come back. Im sure Dana set Holly Holm as a warm up fight since Nunes not in shape to fight. Then Im sure Nunes and Harrison is a super fight down the road.
The UFC will use Holly as a punching bag. You might be correct about Amanda possibly coming back. Okay this is starting to make sense why cyborg was upset not fighting Kayla. PFL had this fight setup soon. I need to go back and read this article about Cyborg not fighting Kayla.

I also think that the UFC is hoping for to rebuild and reconstitute the 145 division with a Kayla vs Nunez (coming out of retirement) fight sometime in the near future to headline or be a major part of the upcoming mega event at The Sphere in Vegas.

Kayla is an American hero being an Olympic star UFC always wanted her but could not take her until she got some experience. And she wanted UFC, PFL made her the face of PFL and used her and she stopped growing as a fighter. PFL has their Bellator fighters and Francis Ngannou, Cédric Doumbé, Abdoul Abdouraguimov "The Lazy King", Baissangour Chamsoudinov "Baki". So they will be fine.

Agreed. But I think Kayla is only gonna make 135 lbs 1 or 2 times to fight Holm and after that fight (which she will likely win), it’s sets up a fight vs either the winner of Pennington vs Pena or eventually against Nunez at 145 for the title at that weight class.

I like this move but the problem is Kayla lost a lot of luster when she got beat up by Larissa so it's a UFC can you really say even if she becomes champion she's the best not really so I don't mind his move whatsoever for PFL yeah you lose a star but you also say hey if she goes over there and wants a championship you could say well she was champion here for a couple times but she eventually got beat by our champion

Uh no way she makes 135, even 145 where she weighs that for a total of 2 minutes is highly unlikely. I'll watch the fights, but it's not a meaningful acquisition in the long term. Hope she gets paid at least, she probably won't have more than 1 fight a year.

I have feeling that if Kayla performs well at 135 UFC might actually revive 145 for her. They can bring back Cyborg, Amanda can come back from retirement, they can pull some fighters from PFL. They can have a contender series and TUF dedicated to Women's Featherweight. All dependa on how Kayla performs.

I’m a MASSIVE Kayla fan but…
Will Kayla be able to make 135 lbs when she’s never done that in her life in MMA for the Holm fight- let alone all of her future fights on a consistent basis?
Will making 135 be such a struggle and hardship that it will negatively affect her performance as well as her short and long term health??
I’m cautiously optimistic but going up to 145 would make the most sense, however the women’s 145 division is practically (or in reality??) non-existent and completely irrelevant.
So, I don’t know what’s in store for Kayla in the UFC long term and I think she will be headed back to the PFL at 155 or 145 in the not too distant future.
Finally, why didn’t Kayla fight Cyborg (who she’s been chasing for years and begging her to fight each other) before leaving PFL?
With the merger of the PFL with Bellator Kayla should have fought Cyborg first, then leave for the UFC.
It was the best move for buisness. She probably got an sweet offer from the UFC. They might even have overpaid her just to mess with PFL. Cyborg is an bigger and better version of Pacheco and both are an tough fight for her. And even if Kayla beats them both, she aint becomming that much of a bigger star in while in PFL. In the UFC there's much more room to grow.

If you do 2 tours in an organization not the UFC (especially if you’re new and have never fought there) you either don’t want to fight the best or you’re doing it for the money. The latter I can respect if that’s the reason, tell us. No shame in getting paid and securing your future. HOWEVER don’t then say you’re the best in the world. F that. Prove it. Sign with the UFC. They may not pay you as much but they will pay you well. I hated it when Michael Chandler did it. I hated that Kayla did it. But at least they are in the UFC now! I think sadly for Chandler he was past his peak when he finally joined the UFC. Thankfully Kayla is not! But man it will be interesting to see how she looks on the scale at 135
