I loved Fire Emblem Three Houses for the storyline and social sim elements, but I loved Fire Emblem Engage for the tactical and combat gameplay and it was so clean graphics and UI design wise! I really hope there's a remake for Fire Emblem Genealogy Of The Holy War down the road...

Awakening was my jam, and you can argue that it has the most replay value out of all the modern Fire Emblem installments. Between picking a spouse for Chrom to the offspring mechanic no two gameplay experiences are the same. And the pairing system was so fun, because you can almost feel the rapport building between those units.

I tried to play the Xenonblade Cronicles series but, I just couldn't get into it.
Radiant dawn was fantastic :( But three houses with new game + was just next level
I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 first, and I loved it so much. The really bad english voice acting had a kind of charm to it. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 has great voice acting, but since I watched ChuggaConroy's 100% let's play years ago I was bored playing it. Haven't touched Xenoblade Chronicles 3 yet.
Regardless, I recommend Xenoblade Chronicles 2 if not for the waifus alone

I started playing Xenoblade Chronicles just because I like playing as Shulk in Smash Bros. After a little over a year I have played all the games including the DLCs and I Loved them all. The only problem I had was that I didn't do the special side quest with Melia in 1 which made me very confused during future connected
FE is my favorite series. My favorite titles are Shadows of Valentia and The Sacred Stones (which was my first back in the day). I love the focus on a simple story and the monster units. (been hoping for that FE 4 remake or a port of the tellius games)

Favourite Fire Emblems are the Nintendo GC & Wii FE'S, followed by the GBA FE'S, then finally Awakening & FE3H
Really hope we get a Xeno Warriors game, but I wouldn't mind waiting until the next system so it can run better.
Good question to ask, it's Fire Emblem Engage, but my issue with the games I've played is, too many characters to manage, I'd rather only 1-2 of a class, also transitioning classes I got lost in the strategy so I never finished it, got about 80% through, will restart it one day
I think X is coming next year for the 10th anniversary, it could do with being on more powerful hardware which is why it's probably not gonna go to switch

@@ItApproaches Lol no. I thought everyone knew this by now. Wii U's specs are inferior to the Switch's specs. Games like Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 proves it. If you take a look at the comparisons, the Switch versions of those games show some improvements over the original Wii U versions. For example, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe runs at 1080p on the Switch, but Mario Kart 8 Wii U version runs at 720p.

It's 50% of both, meaning you don't get the best of either. In order for the hybrid to actually be the best of both, the system would have cost $800 or so. Nintendo wasn't going to do that.
The Wii U had MOST of it's games at 1080p 60fps, Switch struggles to do that for anything. Look it up, like 90% of the Wii U exclusives were 1080p 60fps on Wii U. Bayonetta 2 for example, Smash, Windwaker/TP HD, so on.I own both versions of BOTW, and they are IDENTICLE except for two things. Switch version loads about 8 seconds faster, woop dee doo. And has the Switch T-Shirt link can wear in the Switch version. They are identical otherwise. You forget, BOTW was made EXCLUSIVELY for the Wii U and simply ported over to Switch. They didn't make it any better on Switch as that is a big F U to the Wii U people.

Fire Emblem Awakening and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
Three houses, or Shadows of Valentia echoes, and Xenoblade Chronicles three what a masterpiece.
I'm the same with FE Three Houses and Awakening, but I adore all mainline Xenoblade games equally in their own right. Monolith Soft is also my No 1 fav studio nowadays :-)
I am guessing Xenoblade chronicles X-2, a space odyssey of some sort and we meet Pyra and/or Mythra on their way to colony ships and Melia's world.
I just want a great balance between three houses and engage. I am excited to see what’s next after xenoblade chronicles. I’m still playing through xenoblade chronicles definitive edition.

3 houses by far but after its def fates and for Xenoblade its 3 I thought they outdid themselves with 2 but they went past it with 3 by far

currently playing Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Loving it so far. I really wished they ported Xenoblade Chronicles X over. So far that's still my favorite game in the Series
I don’t know why everyone says the DLC for engage was bad because those maps by it at least take an hour to complete. If not two hours for some of them, they provide a hard challenge even on normal or hard mode, for the download of content was good.

Honestly I love fire emblem, I never played Xenoblade before but it seems interesting.
Tbh I hope if fire emblem remakes ever come, I hope for a fire emblem fates remake. It’s a good chance to give better writing to the game, characters and gameplay. Also to make all of the three paths in the same game and not separate.

I’m finishing up Fire Emblem Engage now. I think I’m on like Chapter 24. This isn’t my favorite game graphically. But the fighting is fun and the mechanics seem simplified compared to 3 Houses(which is a good thing.) Fire Emblem Genealogy is the game that introduced me to the franchise. And is my favorite Fire Emblem game. If we ever get a remake, I’ll be a happy man. And if it happens in 2024, that would put this year as a great year for 90’s kids. We get the X-Men 97 show AND a FE4 announcement?! 🤯
Radiant Dawn was the best of all Fire Emblem and I think Xenoblade 1 was the best as well. By the way, what do you think of the thought of a return to Ike and Micaiah's world but the story reveals more about Hatari?

I saw a report that Monolith soft has been using the same engine since XBCX so XBC Remastered, XBC2, and XBC3 have been using the same Engine. And with XBC3 they pushed the Engine to the Absolute maximum. So they have reached out to Epic games to get their hands on Unreal Engine. I have not heard anything since that article. And that was after Future redeemed was released.

Favorites are 3 houses and XC 3. Tho all the mainline XC are barely behind XC 3 or maybe switchable. It's just the ending of chapter 5, and going into chapter 6 in XC 3 is literally peak fiction. So I can't deny the pull of that moment that put XC 3 on of the other XC games.
Geneology of the holy war is my favorite fe. Xenoblade 1 is my favorite since thats the only one ive played
i really enjoyed the reclass and pair up mechanics in Fire emblem fates, the cast isn't the best especially compared to games like 3 houses, but every time i just want to replay a game i always end up enjoying fates.
i haven't played a lot of xenoblade, mostly just watching Let's Plays of it so i have no option on the quality
but shout out to "Esperia Uprising of the Scarlet Witch", great Srpg That clearly wears its fire emblem influence on it's sleves
As far as Fire Emblem is concerned, I want either a Nintendo Switch port of Fates with all DLCs (including the Revelations version) included or a remake of Blazing Sword where the Avatar can get a S rank with recruitable characters.

I was a bit let down with FE Engage. I ended up playing a second playthrough of Three Houses instead of finishing Engage. I also agree that Warriors Three Hopes was pretty fun!
I love Fire Emblem. But the things in Three Houses and Three Hopes didn’t meet my expectations like Fates did… Engage popped off nicely for me, not gonna lie. But I just wished they did a whole lot more on those games that could have met my expectations.
While I’m happy about the idea of Genealogy of the Holy War getting its remake, but I imagined Thracia 776 getting remade as well or, better yet, merge the two into a single, unique game! (Plus a time-changing DLC story.)

As a lot of folks have said, I would very much like Xenoblade Chronicles X to be on Switch. That would be a Collector's edition pre-order for me.
My favorite fire emblem game is three houses followed by path of radiance and radiant dawn. My favorite Xenoblade is Xenoblade chronicles, 2 and Torna the golden country.

Favorite FE game of all time for me is FE: Binding Blade. It is also my very first FE game. But it is rivaled by Holy War and Three Houses.

Idk, i remember everyone and their grandmas were so sure we'd get a fe4 remake or an announcement of some kind and we all know how that turned out lmao. It has only been what, a year ever since engage's release? I've said it before and i'll say it again,i don't really expect anything yet this close to engage's release. I'll give it at least another year, maybe two until i'm confident we'll get some kind of new game
they better re-release awakening. I need that for the next gen Nintendo tbh.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is the only FE I have played through. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 3 are two of the most cinematic video game experiences I have ever had.
Knew the title was clickbait, but it's okay, too few people talk about Monolith Soft ;D My prediction: Brandnew Xenoblade 4 in 2025, then an extended X-remaster that is properly connected to the end of Xenoblade 4, and then Xenoblade 6 near the end of Switch 2's life cycle. Another Xenoblade-trilogy completed!

Having said that, I'd have to say Path of Radiance is probably my favorite FE game! Engage is actually a very close second, its just a campy, fun love letter to the series (and Soren is an absolute nuke, lmao)! And it let's me use Marth, who's my favorite Nintendo character overall 👀👀👀

Fire Emblem Engage and Fire Emblem Sacred Stones are my favourites probably, Three Hopes is close though. I liked it even better than Three Houses. 3 is my favourite Xenoblade without a doubt, but I like the other two a lot as well.

As for Xenoblade Chronicles, I like XB3 the best. It's basically the best aspects of XB1 and XB2 while also adding it's own great innovations over the previous two.
What made you rank Path of Radiance so low?
@@dinar8749 I knew PoR and Sacred Stones and Fates Conquest are all games with dedicated fanbases insisting they're top 10 or even top 5. That's the magic of Fire Emblem is that really any game in the series could have solid arguments to be number 1.
But PoR while for me, it's easily top 5 or maybe even top 3 in terms of story. But in terms of gameplay, it just feels limited and I personally enjoyed Radiant Dawn a lot more. For one, I feel like Laguz Units mechanics weren't very well executed with them forcing you to transform and cannot revert until gauge was empty. I like how Radiant Dawn gives you control and the ability to conserve the energy. Olivi Grass and Halfshift also made huge improvements.
Other issues that hold PoR back was that it's too easy even on Hard Mode. Not that being easy is a bad thing at least not for newcomers, but I expect challenge on Hard Modes at least. Ike, Boyd, Oscar, and especially Titania are characters who can basically solo the first few chapters. And continue to grow super fast. And just other things that break the game too much. Only exceptions are Black Knight being way to RNG heavy and widely considered the worst boss in the franchise. Gambling lucky Aethers is the only way to win. Or taking Tauroneo's Resolve and also giving Ike Wrath and possibly Vantage. Likewise, Ashnard becomes too easy with all that.
In Japan however, there is Maniac Mode. Which is a setting that got bad reception. But it's not really that hard, just tedious as heck. Ike being a really good lord was a saving grace up until that point, but the idea of making "Every enemy unit in the game being mounted and carrying a 2 ranged weapon + having a ton of HP" gave too many slot feasts that made it difficult for anyone not mounted or flying to train. And most of the game is fairly easy if you got used to catching on as while enemies were hard to kill, they at least weren't that threatening when it comes to wiping out your party unlike lets say Binding Blade's Wyvern Lord swarms. Again, Chapter 26 and the Final Chapter are also exceptions where the former could have more than 100 units on map and the final chapter also has something similar + Ashnard getting tired of waiting. But if Ike managed to be built up with Wrath + Resolve + Vantage, he could clear out much of Final Chapter with Ragnell. It's also recommended to give him A rank support with another Earth affinity such as Oscar, so he can be one big dodge tank.
So yeah, while I love PoR as a game, there are just too many objective design flaws to make me rank it any higher on the list.
@@darkdragonmedeus705 I never used the laguz outside of the royals because even in radiant dawn they barely earn any exp. While this incentivises you to use non laguz, it also makes using them feel like a waste.
*FE4 remake will outsell FF: Rebirth easy but I guess once that PS5Pro drops that will change.*
engage is my all time fav, the combat was perfect and i loved it. Three houses is an easy 2nd place
Both games are really great,even though they are different they both have great stories and battle systems! You know what the funny thing would be though, it's something i just thought not too long ago and it may sound far fetched but I'm gonna say it anyway, wouldn't be awesome if they made a crossover collaboration event with xenoblade chronicles and fire emblem?! Both of these games are the most popular yet,so i thought what if they made a paralogue or a side quest that would crossover certain characters from both games and made them even more great. For example i thought of a crossover between Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Fire Emblem Engage with the protagonist characters. In Xenoblade 3 a side mission where Alear (with of course the option to choose the gender between male or female) and Noah and the others would meet through a challenge in the Nopon Archsage Challenges, at first they would fight him/her and then make introductions and then Alear would travel alongside with Noah and his friends to the world of Aionios and help them to put an end of the reign of Moebius,kind of like the patch with Elma from Xenoblade X where she joined Rex and his friends in Xenoblade 2 as Blade,in Xenoblade 3 Alear would be a Hero character and with the ability to use the 12 emblem rings with setting which to use in the auto battles and the others would have his/her class as and would also use the emblem rings and they would use the emblem engage attacks for talent arts and also during chain attack where Alear would be an active party member after his/her attack we would finish it with an attack based from the unity combo order from future redeemed only it would be like called emblem engage order where after Alear we choose one of the party members and then for a finish that member along with Alear in his/her Emblem form would land the final blow,like that one attack from Fire emblem engage.And for Fire Emblem Engage a paralogue where a Consul/Moebius would travel through the world of Elyos so that Moebius would expand their reach through other worlds as well and Alear would receive either an emblem ring or bracelet that would have Noah and Mio inside as Emblems and in the battle system they would use a special emblem attack based from the ouroboros order chain attack and in the emblem engage the characters would use the talent arts of Noah and Mio but Alear would had a secondary attack where he/she use a replica of lucky seven and make devastating damage and after they defeated the Moebius ( i call him Consul C/ Moebius C as if usijg the letter c from crossover since it starts with c) at the end of that paralogue they would had the aid of Emblem Noah and Emblem Mio to fight alongside them against the Fell dragon Sombron. Anyways those are my thoughts and since everyone love Fire Emblem and Xenoblade Chronicles games i hope everyone would like that kind of idea as well if something like that would ever happened,i don't know if anyone else or PlayerEssence agrees with this but i just wanted to share my thoughts.

Time will tell whether it meant something or not, but if it meant something I'd assume that game would be out by now. shrugs
Three Houses was nice, could have needed a bit more polishing for the social aspects. Like a medieval Persona 5, but it was good. Xenoblade is my favorite JRPG series, can't wait to play the next game on a bit better hardware :) Xenoblade 2 is my favorite but Part 3 has matured like good wine in my head, at first i was a bit disappointed, but thats just saying farewell to the Xenoblade before it, as i have different expectations every time a Xenoblade comes out. In the end it is a fantastic game. But i must say that i'm really pleased with JRPGs at the moment, i have a backlog of Trails Series and Persona 3, Final Fantasy 7 Remake 2 (better than expected, even if the NPCs are unnerving, woke, too real world orientated etc., but the world is fine and the graphics very good). Theres good stuff released from the last years and there is good stuff coming out from Atlus and co. so i can wait until Xeno is continued (or gets remakes).
am going back to play fates and awakening still for me was the fun in those games. I never really enjoyed Three houses cause i hated the class customization since it ruined the fun. If everyone can be any class than whats the point difficulty i mean theres people just go with flying and every unit is flying and just only kill the boss. I prefer Engage also cause of the simple and normal FE Story. When i see people insult it and im like thats just the usual FE Story idk why they complain lmao. Tbh Three Houses had a lot more problems. The Story isnt as great as it seems. Anyway i hope their next FE Game is going back to how it was like in Awakening / Fates its good. Three House isnt a good starting point tbh cause the developers were not the ones that made Engage. I hated people insulting Engage cause they say its not Three House when Three House is the odd one out
I feel the old warriors was better in terms of content was a lot better... the new warriors had a much better story but that's all nothing extra, no post game stuff or anything else much. three houses was amazing and truly got to know the characters.. engage personally i couldn't even finish, it just, i felt nothing for any of the characters. its combat was good but... i just couldn't get into it at all compared to three houses where i could actually get to know each character. i know its not what a lot of other fire emblem fans are into but i felt three houses is by far the best fire emblem @,@ and hope they do a few more in the future where you could really get to know each character in depth, it wasn't perfect of course. i am curious if they will ever remake the awakening fire emblem game its also one of my favorites as well. and i do hope to see xenoblade x on switch. and Xenosaga im still hopeful as well.

I have played Fire Emblem from the beginning. I can't even touch Engage. The Crest toothpaste look is a major turnoff and is a slap in the face and a pure rape of the franchise
Same i been having Fire Emblem withdrawal. But Engage artstyle burns my eyes so bad after playing it make me need a another game to wash it out ASAP. Been playing Triangle Strategy and Unicorn Overlord right now. Both game did scratch the Fire Emblem itch.
When Engage first came out, i dropped it halfway but I finally finish it recently cuz i saw a lots of build guides popouts on yt that make me see the game pass the artstyle, so i just jump straight in where i left and finish it.
Would you recommend Unicorn overlord to FE fans who loved games like FE Path of radiance, Echoes, Three Houses, etc....?

I purchased what was supposed to be xenoblade most loved game Xenoblade 3 and I hated it! 3 hopes + 3 houses are both amazing with hundreds of hours of content!
if engage didnt have such weird designs and writing i would have loved it, but i honestly didnt like it much tbh

Fe9 will always have a place in my heart (also Engage has better replayability than 3H).
It got leaked along with fire emblem engage so there is still hope of it happening

My favourite game is Three Houses but Blazing Blade is a close second
I like Engage but it doesn’t feel like a FE game artistically and the great combat mechanics didn’t matter to me that much
I enjoyed Three Houses much more than Engage.
I honestly liked Engage dlc more than the base game, the villain particular I really thought was well done.

For xenoblade mines is xenoblade 3 and fire emblem its prolly engage(only have played fe3h and engage).
This has been by far the best generation for playstation
FE Engage was a disappointment. At least this year Unicorn Overlord made it up.
It hasn't been THAT long. Engage was a year ago, might only feel long cause Engage was awful and we want to forget it lol. New Fire Emblem could be revealed in the next Jan/Feb Direct. As for Xenoblade, well...Xenoblade is done. They won't make a Xenoblade 4 as the entire 1-3 story has been wrapped up. They could simply create a new Xeno (something) series. I think a Xenoblade Chronicles X port or Chronicles X 2 would be the best direction to go though.
They didn't say XC was done, though.

Engage was not what the majority of us were waiting for after three houses. Nintendo needs to release the fe4 remake to reclaim goodwill from fans.
If engage's sales truly end up falling off a cliff then that should be a strong message that engage is not the direction we want.
Engage was a banger though. One of the better games in the series.
The real reason people think the next FE is coming soon is because the leak that predicted Engage, Engage's gameplay and story, and the FE4 remake, also said that Engage had been finished for years before it actually released. So if IS had time to work on something else before Engage came out, the next game could be close.

Both definitive edition and 3 sold similarly, just under 2 million. It's not as much as 2 but it's far from dead or declining.
They need more fan service again like 2 probably if they want more sales again.
FE Engage is barely a year old so you might wanna get comfy while you wait lol
I like how you said how you wanted to make the video for quite some time now, but you made the same video 10 times before. You basically said there's nothing to talk about.
As far as pay-off goes, XC3 wasn't that. It singlehandedly pushed the franchise from one of my favourites to "Should I even be excited for Monolith's games anymore?"

I think X is coming next year for the 10th anniversary, it could do with being on more powerful hardware which is why it's probably not gonna go to switch
Im not into Fire Emblem, but man my favorite Xenoblade is between xc2 and XCX. X had awesome builds and 2 has an awesome combat system.
