    Hey guys, wanted to thank you for the advice on the “Bronco Lean” portion of the video. I’m doing a frame off resto-mod and just put the body on and dropped it on its wheels and noticed the “lean” ugh! Well, took it all apart, re-greased the C bushings and found one C bushing upside down. Took extra care and time cross torquing the bolts and Shazam the frame and body are within 1/8”….. thanks guys!

    I miss bronco days in Mike’s shop. I am alone here in Georgia. Do you still have that monster Bronco?

    • @BroncoGarage
      @BroncoGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      We have heard it exists but no one around the shop has seen it for several years.

    Great video Jon and Mike. Looking forward to installing a set on my 76. Hey Jon, refresh my memory. How much lift did you install on your Bronco? You might want to mention that in the video. Fred

    I installed a 2.5” lift from Toms and unfortunately I didn’t grease the radius bushings no mention of it in the literature either … this pisses me off

    Like those a lot, I’m thinking the duck tuff package but do they only come in blue or is there a black option for all these components as well?

    • @BroncoGarage
      @BroncoGarage  Před 5 lety +2

      Ducktuff is the best of the best! The system comes in black & blue.

    So what benefits do you get with the Trex arms? Better handling? And articulation?

    • @BroncoGarage
      @BroncoGarage  Před 5 lety +2

      Better handling, better articulation, allows you to run up to a 37" tire. Eliminates 50 year old rusty radius arms. More info on dufftuff.com - bit.ly/2Z5YGlE

    I am not installing the T-Rex arms yet. I am replacing the C-Bushing with 7deg bushings and I am having problems getting both the radius arms to sit flush on the floor. Any tricks to get them to adjust? If its a half inch how much might that show?

    • @BroncoGarage
      @BroncoGarage  Před 3 lety

      You want to be less than 1/8" different from side to side. Before going any further, verify the axle is 100% parallel with the ground and that the ground is even. I like to use a digital level to verify the axle is parallel with the ground.

      @@BroncoGarage ok. Thanks for the response. I have a 6ft level and have layed it across the floor and across the top of both disc brake shields. Both are level and I have to assume they're parallel. If I continue to loosen things up and retighten how would I go about adjusting? I have been loosening it and wiggling it around and retightening.

      @@homeplusinspectionservices2502 In your case since your arms are 1/2" different from side to side which is A LOT, you will want to use dawn dish soap on the C bushings. Make darn sure they are in correctly then tighten them like shown in the video. Once you have got them as close as possible you will need to manipulate them like we did in the video. be sure to have a spray bottle of water and keep the C bushings moist until you have the arms level. Get them within an 1/8" of each other and then you will be good.

    Do you still sell the older version radius arms? They were boxed instead of tube.

    • @BroncoGarage
      @BroncoGarage  Před 3 lety

      James Duff has never sold arms that were made out of square tube.

    Will 7* bushings with a 3.5” lift be too much pinion angle ?

    • @BroncoGarage
      @BroncoGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      Typically no but all Bronco's are just a little different. Best to reach out to James Duff to get all your questions answered in detail. 865-938-6696
