Hi friends
This week I wanted to share my thoughts on the current state of Boeing and how I think the situation is going to devolve from here. Boeing has had a series of terrifying and tragic incidents over the past few years.
Some of the malfunctions were initially attributed to pilot error and other human misunderstandings with the mechanics of the plane and the software that was used. As time has gone on it’s clear Boeing as a company is willing to put profits over people and cutting corners has become company policy.
Many reporters have even gone undercover to expose the fact that people that work in factories on Boeing planes would not want to fly certain models. This has lead a few major airlines like Delta, JetBlue, United, and American to make public statements about their concerns over Boeing planes and behind closed doors become uncommitted to new planes in the future.
Thanks for watching. If you enjoy please share with someone who could use a laugh and most of all thanks for being my friends.

You can only hope for a world where you know you do not matter for at least there is certainty in that.
I just realized why I love Josh so much. In a world where most comedians are these "alpha males" or dudes who embrace being incredibly weird. Josh is just a guy like us, he's so authentic and isn't scared to be humble with some of the best self-deprecating humour I've ever heard. He's a master storyteller that I just can't get enough of.
I like his perspective. He's going to be one of those guys like George Carlin. People will be listening to him for years.
Alpha male comedians?
Name one.
That shits oxymoronic 😅
Ricky Gervais. There you go.
@@a.m.gnovember151, you think Ricky Gervais is an Alpha Male.... dude what strain are you smoking cause you are in a completely different dimension rightnow, like one where people can't lie.

The Boeing door joke is honestly one of the best written, structured and delivered jokes I have ever heard. Shades of Dave Chappelle in the slow burn build. Absolutely brilliant there, Josh.
Spot on!
@@josephhih4218 he’s not the most popular, Kevin Hart sells more and is less controversial. Chappelle is, however, undoubtedly one of the greatest ever regardless of race or era. And he’s an expert at long winded, slow burning buildups leading up to extremely light punchlines that the audience doesn’t see coming. THAT’S why I made the comparison.
Josh's rhythms of delivery remind me of Chappelle, with some brighter mood and slight differences in the way he blends social commentary with anecdotes. Dave is beyond discussion of race or genre, he is the goat, and I feel Josh is on track to being his legitimate successor.
@josephhih4218 Dave isn't one of the greatest black comedians to ever touch the mic, he's one of the greatest comedians to ever touch the mic. Comparing anyone to him, regardless of race, gender, sex or age is high flattery indeed
Chapelle used to be good. I probably wouldn't like to be compared to him now
I love the deep ass level of communication he has with his audience. Every set is like a Ted talk that is just fkn hilarious. He doesn't take himself too seriously and so it comes so naturally.
He’s like old Chappelle before his ego took over
@@Tortilla.Reform He's got the observational comedy chops to put him up there with the greats. Carlin, Chapelle, Gallagher. I hope he gets his shot at being a household name like them.
Very intelligent young man. Nice to see people his generation being conscious about how society really works.
I hope he gets his message through his comedy.
And by the way, I worked in a collapsed bank where all the board of directors quit after collecting great severance packages and after the bank was baked out, and I thought as Josh... they should be forced to stay till it got fixed, even if it meant sitting at a desk staring at the wall for every working hour.
Now Josh, what do you know about the 70's & 80's, were you even on the Earth, in the world young man. 😃🥰😃
"Hilarious Ted Talks" is like the perfect way to describe Josh. PERFECT. 👍🏻
I clicked in some random vídeo of Josh like Two months ago. Totally random. And i went "oh i have seen this guy on the daily show". Fast forward around eight weeks and i have seen every weekly clip posts and quite a few older ones. Like, where the hell was i Not knowing Josh? I know there os Not a bridge from Portugal to the USA, but CZcams is a click away. And i have been through a lot and somewhere around every week i have a genuine fun time watching Josh. And i think that is one of the most importante things these days. So whether you re seeing him live or watching CZcams, i hope you are having a good laugh with the guy ❤️
This happened to me too at that exact time basically. 😅 it’s been amazing
It happened to me about four months ago and hasn’t slowed down, he’s literally the best.
Whoever you are and wherever you are I truly hope that you are in a good mood right now, and that you are having a great day!😊
Isn’t it weird? It’s refreshing to read a healthy comment!? This is the real meaning of the Internet!
Ditto!
The Golden Parachutes for failed Executives and politicians who have done so much damage is certainly infuriating.
Thanks for using humor to drive home the clear ridiculousness of the practice.
I like the idea of the CEO not getting another job and add he shouldn't get paid at all.
I’m still bitter about the bank bailouts from 2009
It is a system for them by them. They lose the job and pass it to a friend. That guy loses the money-making job and then has to run for office for his friends to get them government-awarded contracts. They stay in office for a term and get awarded an executive job somewhere else to make money and the cycle continues.
Yep. For all of this country's love of punitive justice, we rarely hold these kind of people accountable. Then have the audacity to say that no one is above the law.
@@adriansandlin556 hit the nail squarely on the head!
Bunker people missed an opportunity to chill in the kick arse bunker during the pandemic. Genius observation. Why build it in the first place?
josh is onto something
It was never about practicality. It was about a fake peace of mind, a way to bury dollars in cement.
There have been a few stories of bunker people having their bunkers raided, home invasion style. It begs the question, how useful is your multi million dollar bunker if someone can just take it from you. If the shit goes down and I worked on your bunkers HVAC system, I have a backup for me and my family, and it’s your bunker
@@Tortilla.ReformYeah. Being nomadic is probably the best bet. Whoever has the best weaponry owns whatever they want.
They’ve spent so long preparing for real disasters they know a manufactured one from miles away 🤷♀️
Man that marketing joke seamlessly transitioning into that Boeing joke was TOP TIER. As someone who has worked in marketing agencies and seen the BTS tactics of marketing, I deeply appreciated that joke.
Dude, the setup for the Boeing plane joke was pure genius. This man is an American treasure of comedy.
Damn, you actually got me a little teary eyed entering that Boeing joke.
Same! I was on the verge of tears and then he said Boeing 😂😂
whats the context for the joke? did something happen to a Boeing plane
@@indoorgreg7364 Well. Yes.
You do not have to pay me that much money to ruin a company.
Yes, but why settle for less?
facts... That should be my company slogan: I'll ruin it for half! 16m is plenty!
Bro turned into a preacher for a solid minute there. I respect it
“Are you brand new?” Is such a funny retort to someone who says something genuinely dumb
Am I being dramatic when I say that these skits light up so many of my days? It's so well thought out and makes me cackle and feel warm. But I like that he still expresses his anger which - in most parts - is my anger, too. I love this.
I love it❤
He's a voice for the people!
No, I agree!! If you are dramatic, then I am too xD
Life as a New Yorker, Earthquakes don't stop the robbery.😂😂😂
Josh! That was flavor aid and I worked on an ad campaign for koolaide at that time…advertising executives ABSOLUTELY discussed this!!!!!!
I was in Brooklyn and yes, I thought my grandma‘s old apartment was falling grab my dog and ran outside. I thought it was the apartment I did not know it was an earthquake. That’s how bad the apartment is.😂😂😂😂
He was spitting poetic bars about how important people are, and led us right into that Boeing joke. Like wow. That was absolute perfection. Got people emotional and cracking up at the same time. 😭😭
At around 8:45,
"Answer!
That you are here-that life exists and identity,
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse." is where he's taken me... and then...
The twist was that Jim Jones used Flavor Aid not Kool-Aid.
Drinking the Kool-aid referred to Ken Kesey (author of "One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest') and His Merry Pranksters dropping LSD into Kool-Aid during their cross country jaunt in a school bus in 1964: "Can you pass the Acid rest?" Thomas Wolfe wrote a book about it called "The Electric Kool-aid Acid Test." Simultaneously, Hunter S Thopson was travelling with and writing about the Hell's Angel's motorcycle gang. This was circa 1964-1966.
Most people dont have a clue who Jim Jones or David Koresh were. It amazes me that I can't use 9-11 as a reference for younger people.
Oh my gosh I still have that book. It was a trip just reading it!
Was it still purple
Another Hellsing Abridged fan i see, a person of culture
Lol, am I the only one old enough to remember that they actually used Flavor Aid - the Kool Aid for poors?🤣 And yet Kool Aid has somehow survived the mistaken association, maybe even capitalized on it.😅
Flavor Aid because that's how the brand was sold in that country.
Cuz it was… kooler 😂
@@septemberamyx yes. A completely different brand.
I'm that old
@@septemberamyx It's an American company and brand(sold in the US as well). Almost as old as Kool Aid itself(2 years after). The Jonestown people had both Flavour Aid and Kool Aid tho, they just poisoned people with Flavour Aid, probably didn't want to waste the Kool Aid on something like that and just killed people with the cheaper shit....
I remember my 1st earthquake. I felt like a New Yorker bc I thought it was a Giant Rat under my Bed. I laying down and bed started shaking... I screamed rat & 2 secs after some1 screamed earthquake... I then said "oh that mks more sense 😅".Then Went bk to sleep. Lol
You know you experienced enough earthquakes when you go. Oh it’s just an earthquake back to sleep I go.
Considering he was a replacement for the last CEO to get fired, I bet the next one is ready to step in and DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and just wait for the paycheck.
"You're not you when you're hungry".... Dammit, I almost choked on my cereal. 🤣
I almost expected Josh to say " then the captain comes out and says 'no one is safe.' "
That’s a quality callback! IYKYK
Only if it were Air France 😂
So did I!
I appreciate that you are giving us comedy with a conscience.
You manage to incorporate really serious topics into your jokes without being disrespectful. Given the topics at hand I believe thats a concentrated effort on your part and it is appreciated.
You also planted a nice seed for audience discussion for after the show/video. Thats smart. Get us talking about REAL SHIT but make us laugh too so the severity of it all doesnt get overwhelming.
During the Celebrity Blockout of 2024 (aka Digitine) Im Subscribing to Josh Johnson.
"You are as important as every bolt on a Boeing plane" needs to be on t-shirts. 🤣
For real tho! I need the merch, Josh!
The philosopher comic, weaving thoughts until he lands on Boeing … He’s so good!
Just because you took the risk of speaking truth to power at the beginning of you gaining serious traction in the debate for who’s the best in Stand-Up Comedy right now
agree!
And as you sit in your increasingly shaky seat, the plane starts to tilt, allowing you to look past the other passengers out the window, and you see the captain slowly descending on a golden parachute
I can’t possibly be the only one waiting for him to address the Drake & Kendrick Lamar situation 🤣🤣🤣
I feel pretty important knowing that I'm as important as every bolt on a Boeing plane! Don't usually go for outside validation but....
That joke about women klllling made me a fan for life. Up til now only Chappelle was getting away with jokes like that. We see you Josh! Keep em coming!
Closest to early chapelle I’ve seen
Very uplifting message, and I didn't drink the Koolaid. Be the Bolt!
THE BOEING CEO NEEDS that money.... hitmen cost a lot.

How he landed that Boeing joke took me out 😂😂😂😂
Josh, the bunker-people joke was epic 👍🏾
Brilliant! Josh truly is the comedian of these trying times. Extremely intelligent and downright hilarious. I haven’t been this amazed since Carlin passed away.
What's even funnier is actually it wasn't Kool-Aid it was Flavor Aid...
😂
I didn't want to be all Ackchooalleeeee, but yeah it was, haha
You got me with that importance speech. The payoff was brilliant.
Brilliant as always! And I honestly needed to hear that “you matter” part ^^
The second you said “bolt” I knew it was gonna become a bit about the Boeing plane and you still made me laugh. Good form my dude
I heard chuckles in the background from people who got it early too lol
Man… ur right. I would mute commercials when my kids were growing up (pre-streaming services). If I didn’t they just begged for everything they saw
I thought Josh was going to say that the bunker people are going to suddenly start showing up, 10 - 15 years later, like some soldier who has been in hiding in the jungle since WWII.
I would watch that movie. A sequel to civil war plot hahah
Yah...only the ones who didn't believe stayed above ground.
@@Tortilla.ReformIt would be a pretty funny dark comedy to have a guy go into his bunker just to come back to a world that is mostly the same just shittier
There really was a Japanese guy...look up the story.
“You are as important as every bolt … on the door of a Boeing plane” 🎤💥 the way Josh did that was top tier! He’s setting a new bar for the art of standup.
😂 the fact we allow another person to make this drink for us at all is just amazing- Josh Johnson this is wild 😂
I think Josh would have made a good classroom teacher, but thank God we have him on CZcams!
The golden parachute part needs to be heard. Such a good analogy man, absolutely brilliant.
spot on!
"You matter." Loved that and the Boeing joke, genius.
Came here for the laughs but this was also really touching on top of being funny. The best comedy has heart.
His jokes are no longer jokes , but rather a long Daily Show audition
Fun fact, in Jonestown, they actually used a knock off brand called Flavor-Aid
I knew the "drank the Kool Aid" was coming but it still got me 🤣
Same here! Josh is so great at the set up and delivery of his jokes! 😂😂😂
Got my tickets for your show as a Mother’s Day gift! Can’t wait!
Hell yeah! I got a haircut today AND this dude rips!
Life is abundant!
Actual answer is essentially that a modern day CEO is usually just a fall guy. He takes a huge hit so the company gets away with other stuff.
The serious talk he gives about a serious matter but then can turn it into a bit. Only Josh can do that, bless him!❤
Josh Johnson is a boss. One of the funniest comedians out there
The book " Audacity of Greed " will make you want to vomit. Multiple documented cases of CEOs " Huge Companies"ruined - CEO gets millions even for years
You are a comedy genius! Not just comedy, but motivational.
You really made me feel less lonely, Josh. It’s amazing I don’t actually know and how much you move me emotionally and how much you help me through comedy. You really matter to me.
Yeah... Boeing CEO, Cap'n Sully that shit!
The cool aid joke was brilliant 😂
Here from Albuquerque. So glad I got to take lunch on time to see this!
Ok but why do I want Kool-Aid now 😂
He made me get hot pockets the other day 😂
Koolaid is the only known man-made ingredient that can neutralize a Hotpocket burn. Heard a guy screaming like a banshee the other day. He had Pocket burns on the side of mouth and down his chest. I sprung into action with my pre-mixed Koolaid in a Stanley cup (robbed it off a white girl in NY). Not to toot my own horn but I think I might have saved a life that day.
@@desecration171Is we just gonna ignore you stole a Stanley cup
It tastes great!😂
@desecration you deserve a real trophy for stealing that bougie ass cup!❤😂
That Koolaid/Snickers bit is def going in a special, awesome premise, great tags with the new product slogans :D
Im acquaintances with a Boeing Engineer. She just focuses on her project and ignored all this going on. Smart woman.
If you have a chance to see this man perform in person do not miss the opportunity for a terrific evening of comedy and laughter.
inb4 Josh Johnson is definitely not assassinated by Boeing
The “Cardboard Boxes” line had me! 😂
The thoughts he has while being sober is intense. I greatly appreciate his humorous way of telling his thoughts on current events and philosophical/social topics. There's always new homes/humorous topics he comes up with for someone who is a stand up comic.
I came in for the usual Josh hilarity and instead ended up in tears from your words then laughing again. You truly have a talent and I cant wait to see you get the recognition you deserve
The bunker people joke was amazing
9:28 that set up was too good 😂
I’ve been watching “bunker people” for 60 years. Now we call them preppers, but they are still pathetic.
Josh is slowly becoming one of my favorite comedians out there.
The bowing plane transition was top tier 😂😂😂
It was Flavorade, not Kool Aid
The way Josh Johnson tells stories, gets you intrigued, motivated and snorting of laughter a full two minutes after, must be studied!
This may be the best one yet! I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more! Can’t wait to see you live next month in Detroit!
We love you Josh . Thanks for telling us how important we are . Those little bolts are more important than they know ❤😂
“Do you know about bunker people?”
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Say their names. Stay till you fix it! Very good points, and you got a chuckle in there too. Thanks Josh!
Fun fact: they didn’t drink Koolaide, it was Flavor Aide. Koolaide took the wrap because it was the more popular drink.
The speed that you come up with such high quality material is remarkable. You're fantastic.
Josh, your work is becoming more legendary with each passing experience. Your observations are so unique (the bunkers & their false flags). Your setups are beyond reach at this point (each as valuable as a bolt... 😂). I'm so grateful to get to witness your evolution and purpose unfold. Bravo! 💐
This world needs more Josh Johnson.
Re: You matter + Boeing punchline:
That story, that delivery, that message, that buildup, that payoff and punchline... Damn, masterpiece 🔥
Thanks for making me crack up every time you post! So good for my soul😂
Was actually Flavor-Aid.
This is the smartest comedy I've heard in a very long time!
Omg that pep talk in the middle of the video was so needed. I’m sitting here watching this on break during a rough shift and it’s been a rough two weeks. Thanks for the motivation that led straight into a laugh!
Been laughing at your comedy for years. You just keep getting better and better. Wish I could catch you live, but in S. Korea. Hope you come to Korea one day😊 Have a great day, Josh~~
The segue to the Boeing segment was good😂
"Oh Lord, ok." 1:05 😅🤣💀⚰️ I was not ready!
that visual of the pilot bailing on the plane with a golden parachute is just peak comedy. just thinking about it makes me laugh! 🤣
