What's the venue's age restriction? I'd love to bring my kids. (16&20)
You know one of the heroes of our time (though I think he's perhaps too reluctant to take on the role) Trevor Noah.
I still wish he'd passed the torch to Roy Wood Jr. More of that reluctance to take up the call. But so am I in too many ways, I know. We do our best, but I just want people to know there is hope, and a portion of that potential is in each of us. Solidarity fellow Earthlings!❤🌍🌎🌏🌐
When the serial killer don't want you... you got some soul searching to do
If I was her I'd be asking myself if I smelled bad or looked sick or something. lol
Facts
Usually when they reject an easy kill its something about you that makes them see you as human. Something you said something about you made them turn on their humanity. Which is far and few between. She was very lucky he saw her as something special.
IDK, from what I have read serial killers are like "they wanted to be kilt".
Serial killers with standards?
Josh is quietly becoming one of the best comics of his generation.
No doubt.
I told my parents I predict he would be coming up soon as one of the next great comics. I totally agree with you . 😊
Yeaah he really popped in the last two years and came into his own.. owning his shit, talkin about anything and everything comfortably with nice deliveries.. it almost seems like improv now. Movin away from the shy role, it feels he knows he can get a crowd to laugh and is good at his craft. He got some good potential if he keeps goin like this, hoping the fame doesn't affect him too much.
Cause i don't see him walkin incognito much longer
Absolutely
Yeah I just stumbled on to his stuff today. He's hilarious and always topical. He's gunna blow up soon probably
She gave a serial killer the ick

😂😂😂😂😂
“every generation of people has always been hopelessly human” idk if i’m watching stand-up or public speaking cause DAMN
Then he just casually dropped the line at like 10:09 , "I know y'all think I'm being hyperbolic" dude is funny AF and eloquent!!
Seriously; what a beautiful line! ❤
Being human can be hard at any age. Josh is an astute observer with a brilliant sense of humor. He's exactly what we need more of in America. ❤
Honestly , it’s comments like these that make me think he’s got huge potential . Most guys in comedy are just comics , they tell jokes which is fine . But , the guys that reach the next level bring a lot of humanity to their performance.
99% of comedians will write one set of jokes to last them 6 months and they would repeat the same jokes in every city they go to every night, not Josh, every week he has different material for a different week and a different city. He is tje most prolific writer out there and his material is hilarious.
it's AMAZING. i'm so psyched he has so much content.
Yeah , that’s how you build an hour. Everyone does what josh is doing . You tell a joke and you just keep the ones that kill and disregard the ones that don’t . And through time the ones that really kill accumulate and the hour gets stronger. (Andrew Schulz literally documented this in 2017) . Once the hour is strong enough you tour that hour to prove to Netflix or hbo that it’s good enough to buy. Trust me when josh sells a special you’ll see some of these jokes in there . This ain’t new , the ain’t special josh is just post more to build his following. Again same thing Andrew Schulz did 7 years ago

Cops to woman who escaped death by a serial killer - "Maybe he's not that into you."
the funniest part is her assessment about how GREAT everything was and they had SUCH a connection. i'm thinking her assessor might be a bit busted.
Also cops: chased by turkeys 🦃
who is doing these thumbnails 😭
Lol ikr?
His director, Eric Shepard, does the thumbnails.
I know, right? Whoever they are, they're killing it!

@@cocoace7587 right?! I think I’d just have to move at that point. But luckily for hypothetical me, I’m already at the airport.
Same! For the life of me I CANNOT figure out how that TSA guy couldn't piece it together and still managed to be so utterly taken aback.
I knew, too. I’m just surprised the guy couldn’t tell from the look on her face what it was-cos you know she knew. Not making judgments, but if she wasn’t embarrassed there was no reason to lie.
“I can’t even EAT this bish!” 😂🤣😭
Took me out😂
Thank goodness. Josh single-handedly saves second shift every Tuesday.
Yassssss
My Russian teacher had a great, but dry, sense of humor. However, she hadn't learned that the TSA do not have a sense of humor, dry or otherwise. It took some explaining when they asked her what was in the bag, and her response was, "Exactly one bomb."
Oh damn. That'll get you not on the flight immediately! ✈️
@@therealdeal3672Not only NOT on the flight, but on the No-Fly List, in the database, and with your own personal "Ten Most Wanted" Flyer!😂
@@latoyathomas6544I don't doubt it one bit! I'm sure you're right. TSA does not take kindly to the word bomb uttered by anybody. 💣
😂😂😂 I would have been crying in the line.. then said well at least she is honest lol
So, she flucked up her whole flight and the flight for everyone😂
I remember when Eddie Murphy first appeared on SNL. I said, "This guy's gonna be a star." Last year, when I first saw Josh on YT, I said the same thing. Just you wait. This guy's gonna be a star. I rarely get that feeling.
Same
He better! He's always has something fresh. I have loved comedy for decades and watched a lot of comedians make it milking two hours of material for their entire career. Can't do that anymore 😅 and this kid is on top of it.
While maybe we didn't see it in this set, but he is so quick when you look at what he says about current events.
Yes! I had the sweet opportunity to see him LIVE last year, was stunned that he actually does the whole chat and selfie thing afterwards, … and all I could do was show my age by telling him the same thing … You’re to this new generation what greats like Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor … were to my generation. What a thrill to meet you NOW!” (Really do look forward to him getting his due … e.g. The Mark Twain Award … someday … for real)😊
You only get on SNL if you are a star😂
"I bit my lip the other day and it was FIRE." 😂
The twerking joke is actually spot tf on about society
Yeah like people aren’t allowed to have fun especially not in their 20s, I guess lol
@@PurpleHazePro Nope. Only Boomer. "Haha, if you remember the 70's, then you weren't there!"
No one else is allowed to ever have fun. Ever.
LEGS UP ON THE WALL! 🤣🤣🤣 I was rolling!!
He said something very much like what I've thought about without exact words for a long time. We know each other's mistakes better than we ever did before and we are NOT dealing with it well. Definite errors in judgement in public shaming, whichever exact ones you pick because there have been hundreds in the past five years, have been made.
I heard about a teacher who got fired because she was rapping part time and tweaking in her videos 😅😅😅
“We are all hopelessly human” is so profound
Thought so too
The VOLUME of amazing content this guys puts out is insane
For real. I’m always telling people how astounding it is. Like, a lesser comedian would coast for a year on one of these sets but he’s out here putting out new, fresh jokes consistently.
Fr! Like unreal
He's literally changing the paradigm of comedic creativity.
🎉🎉 ABSOLUTELY 🎉🎉
He's putting out content like he knows something bad is coming 😮😮😮
The airport story was hilarious 😂 And mad respect for not revealing the woman's name! Absolute class act!
Nah I wanna know or it’s not real but still funny 😂
Umm highly doubt that’s a true story lol
@@ssgg23 would you name drop a famous person? And possibly get into legal trouble when your career is just getting started?
@@Punpun_sugar that’s…not the point lol. Comedians often make up stories for laughs. It’s such an absurd event that I doubt that specifically happened to him. Maybe took inspiration from a less exciting real life airport experience if anything

The funniest thing about that story is that the x-ray operator probably knew what they were sending that guy into the bag for. Wonder if it was trolling or training 🤣
😂
He is such a gem of a human. Love the jokes, but it's the insight and commentary on humanity that makes it so good.
you know, it's not unlike what george carlin did. it's the 'comedian who is also a philosopher' kind of thing. i think we really need people like this.

I kinda believe that eventually everyone will have a "this you" moment and they won't be a big deal anymore.
I hope not. I hope people will learn to keep their "this you" moments private from jump. Everyone doesn't need to see your whole life.
@@MilkyWhite1 well, when I was in college it was right when social media was forming. I started the year after Facebook was created and you still needed a .edu account to get on. I went to the college parties and even remember being “tagged” in a picture of me dancing, “twerking”, at a party. It wasn’t something I posted of myself. Back then it was just friends from the same school interacting with each other. I don’t have any shame about that, but I can see his point. It’s like you have a separate side from your educated and professional side and you don’t want to conflate the two.
That level of self awareness on a societal level would be a literal utopia. We aren’t making it that far
Right let people have their fun and give grace to children and others ❤
At some point AI video generators will be so good and slfreely accessible that we can't trust any video anymore. And then we are back to plausible deniability, which will be a blessing and a curse on its own, like every tech advancement it seems.
I laughed so hard I was crying.... My bag was also flagged by security, for a bottle of sunscreen which was the allowable amount of liquid. 🤣😂
Back in the early days of TSA cracking down (I’m old), they just kept trying to confiscate my Lancôme mascara, Clinique face cream, and Lancôme juicy lip glosses. I don’t wear much makeup, but I still splurge on these items once a year. Like one good mascara, two juicy tubes, and a large thing of face cream. Funny how nobody ever tried to take my miracle whip foundation😂
@@cehaver well you know the dangers of mascara you take someone's eye out with that LOL
You know what you would do with it, Macguyver😉
Man, look. I’ve been trying to battle the “fear over social media killing any chances of our next leader” thing for years. So comforting to hear it said by someone else.
I had a pocket knife fall into a box of band-aids in my backpack. I couldn't find it for like a month, but then I went through TSA and they found it.
I got through tsa with a box cutter one time and hair cutting scissors another time and both times I didn’t realize it until after.
Josh is quickly becoming one of my favorite comedians alive. He never misses
"An executioner as a serial killer who made it" is what makes comedy unique. They think outside the box.
Oh lord, I had embarrassment flashbacks! I'll tell ya, take out the batteries and they'll STILL take it out and make sure everyone knows what you've packed 😳
Strap it to you like the studs do, maybe?
Philosophical comedy is my new favorite genre
I recommend the book Lies My Teacher Told Me, it talks about how we do ourselves a disservice by sanitizing our heros.
Great book
OMG! I was laughing uncontrollably during the TSA story!😆🤣😂 You know that agent earned his locker room nickname that day!
My girlfriend packed kinetic sand once so they kept scanning some sort of metal. It took an hour and three tsa agents to figure it out.
I bet the people laughing the loudest have accidentally switched on their hitachi on a hard surface. It's truly one of the loudest most violent sounds you can make
or they are simply imagining how loud it'd be. HHAHAHA. i know i was! (ugh, can you *imagine* tsa agend brandishing it like excalibur and for the world to see, as they yoinked it from the bag? deeeead.)

Josh is the only person that can make you laugh about a serial killer😂
Lesson learned: ALWAYS REMOVE THE BATTERIES!
Also: always pack your clothes in clear gallon zip bags. So much easier to repack after a tsa "search".
This subject is actually something I talk about all the time with my friends - the humanity being on display portion, not the serial killer part, ha. So often you hear folks say "Oh, things are so bad" or "We're so divided now" or something else along those lines, when the fact of the matter is things have always been this messed up. It's just that with the advent of the internet and everybody having instant access to the sum of human knowledge and experience in their pockets, everything is now on full display for all to see. Instant access to information has provided us with a full view of that humanity.
I agree with this a lot
Now we see that We all kind of suck
Bruh ... a noise I never heard before came out me when you demistrated the brakedancing vibrater 😂😂😂😂
I look forward to these videos every week because I know you'll discuss a current news cycle and I can't wait to hear your take. Then I'll watch it again at work the next day 😂😂
Yes! He's hilarious. I found him years ago with his infamous KKK story. He's such a clever and hilarious comedian. I'm in Australia and really hope he tours internationally in the future. I'd pay good money to see Josh live.
Ive watched so much of Josh's material that even during his set ups of each story, I've developed a sense for which ones are going to kill me the most
I am such a fan of comedy. I see Josh releases a video, I click.
Especially when it’s Josh 🙌🏻
I am not simply a fan of comedy. I am a fan of Josh Johnson. I have been ever since his "Catfishing the KKK" video dropped years ago.
I can't speak for anything else, but when it comes to comedy, this man never disappoints!!
Those of us who are Fight Club fans knew the spoiler, but it was still great. The storytelling ability is righteous.
"We never *imply* ownership..."
His TSA friends set him up! They knew what they were doing.😅
When he started shaking the mic that was HILARIOUS. I could easily see that becoming a meme
Every time I go from being a casual fan of a comedian to really paying attention, there is always one joke that makes that shift. It’s not that it’s the funniest joke on the planet or that particular comedian’s best. I remember the joke with Carlin was the Rice Krispies joke which is such a throwaway for that amazing man, but it was just the first joke of his I heard that made me really crack up and then get very interested.
I have been watching clips of this young man for a couple of weeks now and each time I’m like, “Oh, good, he’s funny.”
Today the shift was made. “Aren’t executioners serial killers who made it?” was the moment I said, “Ok. I’m going to be enjoying this guy’s material at a new level now.”
Vibrating with laughter 😂❤

My asthma inhaler is always flagged lol

Anybody who can handle that kind of power, I will follow them anywhere. I respect a kitty that doesn't get destroyed by that kind of action.
Most guys are threatened by them. Smh. That’s a hard act to follow.
This guy is so refreshing. He does smart comedy and is not just on stage interviewing the audience. He is actually telling jokes.
I think like she might have turned it on as a distraction and so she could smuggle drugs lol it would be a genius move he was to scared to look through the bag lol
your delivery is just impeccable. the pauses with facial expressions going back and forth between the smiles and the serious like "alright, you aren't gonna believe this..... gimmie a sec. HOW DO I PHRASE..." but also the awesome pauses where you give *juuuuuuuust* enough time for things to sink in (like aren't the executioners just serial killers who made it?) and then continue. it's a talent. so many people do not seem able to manage stuff like this. you had me dyin on the buzzing TSA story. 😂😂😂😂 the agent's reactions, and then the dancing buzzer on the table. holy hell hahaha.
