i can't get the keyboard/mouse to work on the edge browser for some reason. the games just look way better there than in the app.

enable “ preview features “ in the settings and that should allow you access to keyboard and mouse while in games

When i click play it says "Controller disconnected, use an xbox wireless controller or other compatible controller"? i notice at top of yours it says insider? mine doesn't?

Mouse/Keyboard support should be a mandatory requirement for most Xbox/3rd party games even on the Xbox consoles.
Pretty much all games get a PC release so it shouldn't take any effort at all to put that control option on the Xbox versions of game releases..

just played a round of fortnite on a mac, the experience feels authentic and it actually feels like i am in pc fortnite

Now the million-dollar question: How's the MnK latency?
Xbox Cloud Gaming (or xCloud as I personally still call it) always seemed much more advanced than others, but latency still stopped it from ever being something serious, at least in terms of truly gaming anywhere you wanted.
