I’m not ready to give up on Kakko he’s our best player on the boards he still only 22
Team has already given what seems line an ETERNITY for him to blossom consistently. Since it hasn't happened by now, it's safe to assume it never will. He is who he is, and the NHL isn't the best fit. Europe, yeah, but no big bucks there. I feel bad for the kid, actually.
@@dock_yard1149 Kappo is timid unlike Laffy.. His plus is his speed yet, the puck goes in the net not hitting post...
Kakko would score more if he could drive to the net and take shots from the slot
You mention how he Kakko didn't produce on the top line; truth be told that top line didn't produce with anyone on RW; it isn't the RW that's the problem, it's the other two. Mika had 10 pts more than Kakko 5v5 this year, yes you heard that right, 10pts and not only did he play more minutes a night, but 20 gms more as well; Kreider had only 15 more pts. Kakko played well with Laff and Chytil, give him 2 guys that can play, and he'll produce...again 20 & 93 didn't produce 5v5 with anyone. Put in the right situation, he'll be a 60-80 pts player, just look at JT Miller. Not to mention a year ago most fans called Laff a bust and wanted him off the team.

Kakko is still a very good player, he's just not the big goal scorer they thought he would be, but part of that is their fault by holding him back. He has talent. If he is paid for what he can do, its not wrong to keep him. I think he would improve with other player changes.
Kappo has been given more than enough time to show he belongs.. I don't see the determination, hunger or; willingness to improve.... The focus isn't there...... From a Rangers fan since 1969/70 till now n, then some..... 😮😮😮
Yes he has but when a player is used the wrong way then frustration starts building you see what happened to Lafreniere he is scoring why because he is comfortable in what his role is.
@@juans3728 Laffy put his skills and, determination into the game.. Kappo is timid although still young he hasn't learned..
Kakko is great on the boards and great at holding the puck but that’s it , he had his chance the start of the season as rw1 with zabs so if we can get a top6 player for him I will definitely do that
I agree I think the rangers hurt his progression, but he’s a bigger body and can hold puck possession. And has shown glimpses of a scorer. Here’s a thought we all saw laf take a huge jump w panarin what if we mov laf to 1st line and put and just keep kakko on line 2 with panerin & trochek I herd somoke say that kakko has never been able to play comfortably meaning he’s always looking over his shoulder if he’s going to be demoted. I think if we put him on line 2 it could be good for him cheap bridge deal thoughts😊

I feel his time with the Rangers maybe extended. To me he is like what Lafreniere was not scoring and being used where he was uncomfortable. I feel Kakko can be a playmaker if only he would be used like Lafreniere. Kakko has been stuck along the boards looking for that feed and not being utilized down the middle and that would frustrate any player and we've seen it during the season.
only team with the cap to offer sheet wold be utah since they have like 20 mil. that is same team u call for trouba.. trouba can be their captain and also with the new show he gonna be on, it will give press
The paradoxical logic behind saying a player is not playing like one that got drafted 2nd overall because of the pressure of getting drafted 2nd overall is ridiculous. I will however agree that Quinn fucked up more than he helped.
would love to see what kappo could of done with panarin? panarin makes people better.. mika does not. if laffy really turned the corner, then he will be fine with mika. you know the RYAN STROME effect

Great Video, as usual, guys. I was only recently proposing a trade, in a comment on with a video (Kakko & Trouba to The Seattle Kraken - Jared McCann Adam Larsson Shayne Wright coming to The Rangers - Picks & Prospects can be thrown in). I think that it would be great, because Brendan Othmann had been a linemate of Shayne Wright & they played great. Let me know what you think
only defense to kappo, he didnt get a fair shake at mikas right. 2 games here then 3 or 4 on 3rd... then back... should of been give the chance like wheeler or roselvic

take the "number 2" out of your head for a moment... the devils made that pick... it was always kappo and hughes, so cant blame rangers.. kappo gets a bridge deal at basically the same salary. ok now ya have the whole #2 status, he is a serviceable 3rd line winger at a good cost. wont get much in a trade. we need a rw2 , not a 1... panarin line is the #1. in doing so you can possibly lower price on free agent market. now before u say mikas line is number 1.. ask yourself 3 questions... best left winger? panarin.... best right wing? laffy best center? there can be an argument that its troch. so 2 of the 3 guys on the line are the best on team at their position... which equals troc line is number 1 line.. kappo will get same salary. igor is gonna get 12 per, bank on it
What about signing Kane again. Can probably pick him up cheap
Stupid post. Basically same criticism that laffy got same age. Has no consistent center ice man and does decent on the backcheck.
