Played Abama last November with my better half. Green fees are not cheap but great course with even better views. If you can afford the money, go for it!

Yep. It's defo pricey but then when you look at the condition of the course...amazing attention to detail and a great experience! Have you played any of the other courses in Tenerife Darren?

Your Golf Travel . Yes, played Costa Adeje and really enjoyed it. Almost as good as Abama in my book. Also played Las America’s which was nice but not as special. 9 holes at Amarilla, probably the weakest out of the lot but still not bad. Cheers...

joshclayg Hi Josh. The weather was lovely - sunny and in the twenties each day. Condition of all courses played was very good. Abama was outstanding. We are going other places in the near future but plan on returning for a short break in a years time. Food and drink great value on the island. If you do go, have a great time!

Great insight into what is available. I am part of a golf society and not all could afford 'high end' as family comes first. It would be great to see what is available 'mid range' which would be more accessible and affordable to a wider audience.

    • @yourgolftravel
      @yourgolftravel  Před 5 lety

Lots of videos on the way at more affordable locations Anthony! Abama was a treat! ;-) In fact most of the other Tenerife venues would fall into the affordable category as well I would say.

I see on your website there are no breaks in Kenya. They have the European tour there now.
Nice courses good hotels and lots to do. Even along the coast they have some nice courses and of course Diani beach the best beach in Africa.

Played last week with my wife, will never play again.
Greens were full of pitch marks must have sorted at least a dozen a hole,
and never in 18 holes did we see little touches like bottles of water, and the price to play a Joke,
I’m a subscriber to your mag, but I have no idea why you-give readers and golfers this false info,
I have cancelled my mag subscription , not on this video, but every course info on the North east of Scotland is the same golf courses,
Month in month out ie Trump, Royal Aberdeen, Murcar, Moray, Castle Stuart , jeez the amount of gems we have yet not a wee sma line of coverage.
My home club, Oldmeldrum , kintore, Ellon, Insch, to name a few but zero, zilch lines of interest ,
Instead of swanning off to sunnier climbs, try covering clubs maybe not as famous or rich like big boys, but give a lot of pleasure to local golfers
    and visitors alike.

I'm sorry you don't approve of the courses we feature Maurice.
We don't pick and choose where we film, but courses are featured as part of marketing agreements with tourist boards and other suppliers who we are very lucky to work with.
We did a series with Visit Scotland based entirely on courses all the golfers featured in the videos have played in the past, during a time when travel to new courses wasn't possible due to COVID restrictions. We can't reminisce about courses we haven't played.
There's also no value in us filming at courses that we don't currently work with and sell packages for at YGT...the more the merrier on that front though, so if the courses that you've mentioned want to get in touch, I'm sure they'd make great filming destinations. 👍
I'm also sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience at Abama, but you'll notice that video was filmed and published over 2 years ago. I simply reported on what we experienced at the time, and offered my opinion. If you think for some reason I brought a wooden chest full of water bottles onto the golf course to deliberately mislead viewers and provide "false info", I am not sure what to say.
