I just lost my finance to a heart attack and this describes him so much. We used to vehicle four wheel in the mountains when we first met and he would drink beer. I can't wait to hear his stories when it's my time to go.

I’ve recently started listening to HARDY religiously, but he’s an amazing song writer and an awesome singer. This is honestly his best song, or at least the song I most relate to. HARDY has so much potential, that I can see will come out in the next few years.

I'm truly sorry for those that have lost someone. I need to point out to anyone who can hear though that the mentality/perspective expressed in this song is misguided.
Jesus stated that Satan is a liar and a thief. A deceiver. This song plays into that scheme of deceiving people with false comfort. Specifically the idea that because:
    - I'm a "good" person
    - I believe in God
    - God wouldn't judge guilty humanity with eternal punishment
    - fill in the blank...
that I'm going to heaven when I die.
This is a lie from the deceiver, who exalted himself above God and was thrown from heaven for making himself out to be greater than the Holy One, God Almighty. In Eden, Satan deceived Adam and Eve by calling into question God's goodness and then selling them the lie that they could be just like God, knowing the difference between good and evil, that they could live independent of God as "gods" themselves.
God is Holy, Righteous, Loving and Merciful, that also judges evil. God is the "end all, be all", and rebellion against the One in which we live and move and have our being, is what defines evil.
We don't spend eternity in heaven by living according to our own wisdom, doing what is right or "okay" in our own eyes as if we were our own god". We spend eternity in heaven because we've recognized our cosmic treason against God, and put our faith and trust in God for salvation made possible by Jesus who took our sin upon Himself and had God's wrath poured out on Him in our place on the cross. When we do that, we are given the righteousness of Christ, our guilt is cleansed from us.
God has not abandoned us, He has provided His word for us to read and have our minds renewed and our lives transformed. Christ came to give us abundant life, a life of peace that comes from knowing Him through His word. I pray and hope that anybody reading this will seriously consider what I've written. Ask God for truth, get a good Bible translation like the English Standard Version (ESV) and start reading in the new Testament and then go back and read the Old Testament. And beware of the wolves.
Nobody will be raising hell in heaven and God is not "the man upstairs", a dummy that can have anything hidden from Him. He never slumbers or sleeps, the universe is upheld by the power of His word. May your eyes be opened and your hearts and minds renewed. Peace and blessing be upon you.

@funky sawman Wright You might want to fix your typo. It's "prophet". Beyond that:
You think "good" people that die are going to go to heaven and "raise some hell", maybe sneak off where "the man" won't notice and get drunk? If so, you have a low view of God, who is no god at all, but an imaginary fool. A god of your own making. Think about it.
I believe that scripture is the inspired word of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Holy one before whom none can stand without the cleansing blood of Christ having washed away their sin and guilt. Maybe you don't believe scripture, and insist on making it up as you go. Your choice, if so I'm sorry for you.
You believe in the Lord and "fear" Him? Really, based on what since you claim "nobody knows what happens next...PERIOD". If you knew anything about what's in the Bible you would not have made that statement. Do you know that James 2:19 states "You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder!"
A person's believing in God is useless on its own. What matters is BELIEVING God and then being obedient to His word. As James also says, faith without anything to show for, or without doing anything about it is a dead faith. A mirage. Useless.
Finally, do you know Matt 7:21-23?
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
