    Found this massively helpful! Got a Born on order as a and when reading the reviews I’d put all the negatives people mentioned as things you’d get used too after a while and it seems you’ve found that the case as well!

      Thanks so much for your feedback. I tried to make this video helpful for people thinking of buying/leasing a Cupra Born as I found a lot of the professional reviews to be slightly unrealistic. Hope you enjoy your Born when it arrives 👍👍

    This is a really good video, thanks for making it, I do think alot of reviewers say the same thing as each other so its good to hear a owners opinion.

    Thankyou so much for this review, as I’m considering to lease this through NHS fleet too. So this was a great review 😊👍🏼

    Thanks for the review. I was having doubts because of other youtube channels but you hit the nail on the head. Looks like a very nice car

    Great video. Hopefully you will do some more on the Cupra? Be interested in the range you are getting.

    Cupra looks much better than ID3 for its price range. However, I ended up buying C40 Volvo because of its interior and ride quality.

    Useful to know some of those things.
    Like you, saw some of the reviews and some very harsh comments on the haptics and infotainment.
    However car still great and like you, couldn't resist that low NHS leasing cost! Mines due to arrive any day now

      There are things that I would love to change on mine but they’re not major issues and we can certainly live with them for the next 3 years. I find that because of the funky and sporty styling you get a few people looking at you when driving about.

    Great informative video. I've just looked at this on NHS site as its on a special offer. How long did it take to arrive and what range do you get? Also, considering a Hyundai Kona. A bit apprehensive about electric.

    How are you finding it for boot space?
    Good to know about the rear speakers. My company is offering us a Cupra amongst other cars. But it’s the 77kWh version with 5 seat option, this means the beats isn’t available :/

    I'm 6"3, would I struggle for room in this car?
    I currently drive a 2021 Audi A3 and find my legs are always trapped between the steering wheel and centre console / drivers door.

    I test drove a V3 the other day, and that didn't have speakers in the rear either. A car that costs £40k and no speakers in the rear. It did slightly put me off buying one. However, it is just a small hindrance. But as you say buying a car in this day and age should come with basic things like that. I ordered a V2 in the end, should be picking it up sometime this week

    • @milksterb
      @milksterb  Před rokem

      The V2 would be my preferred choice of Born. The heated seats, HUD and the slightly bigger alloys makes it my perfect spec but unfortunately the V2 wasn’t on offer when I was looking. No rear speakers is annoying at times. If we order another in the future I’ll definitely spec it with the Beats option. 👍

    Thanks for the vid. What does the audio sound like despite the lack of rear speakers? Does it feel like the wireless phone charging mat would lift so that you could slot a wireless charger under it?

    • @milksterb
      @milksterb  Před rokem

      Hi James, the audio from the front seats sounds great as there are 5 speakers (2 in each front door and 1 on top of the dashboard). However, my kids often ask me to turn the volume up when they are in the back. In our old car sometimes we used to fade the music to the rear speakers so that our kids could listen to the music whilst we talked in the front. That’s not happening in the Cupra.😂
      I’m not sure about the wireless charging mat, I’ll have to have a look at it. There are 2 usb-c charge points under the centre arm rest so we tend to use those which isn’t a problem.👍

      @milksterb thanks for the reply. I'm in the same boat with not being able to spec the car through a special offer on NHS fleet solutions, but can't grumble about the price. Cheers

    Hi, im picking up my Born next week and I can't wait - do you find you are always thinking about the battery and range or does it just go to the back of your mind? something i'm worried about moving to an electric car

    • @milksterb
      @milksterb  Před rokem

      Only once every 2 months will we be doing a journey where we might have to use a public charger. All other journeys we use the Born for are well within the battery’s range. It’s weird not visiting petrol stations anymore though and nice to just “fill up” on your own driveway!

    Thanks for the video, just ordered a new Born V1 as my company car had to go with the base colour of vapour grey. Apparently it will arrive late October, how long did it take for yours to arrive?

    • @milksterb
      @milksterb  Před rokem

      Sorry for the late reply Derren. Ours took about 5 weeks to arrive but it was on special offer through NHS leasing and so they probably had a batch of them ready to release to staff who signed up. Vapour Grey is a cool colour. It wasn't available when we ordered ours, think it was sold out.

    I’ve heard that they changed the volume buttons on the steering wheel has changed to a tap not a slide

    • @milksterb
      @milksterb  Před rokem

      That’s interesting. I’ve heard that VW has brought forward the scheduled facelift on the ID3 so that they can bring back normal push buttons on the steering wheel so I would bet that Cupra will probably do the same. It doesn’t bother me that much as I’ve now got used to how the sliders work. Thanks for your comment dude.👍

    I bought a V2 last year for £36,500 with Tech pack but in summer 2022 the car went up by more than £1500, why Cupra ? Personally I love the head up display but heated seats not really used on mine. There are no rear AC vents in any version which is odd. I couldn't get a 77 kwh battery version as I was told there were long waiting lists and in June 2022 when I bought mine I was told October 2022 for ordered cars was the earliest availability bt it could have been December 2022. I bought a dealer pre spec'd car in Vapor grey which is a nice colour.

    • @milksterb
      @milksterb  Před rokem +1

      Vapour Grey is a very nice colour! I think the 77 kwh versions only have four seats rather than five. The lack of rear vents is very puzzling as is no rear speakers. I can only assume it's a cost thing because these decisions seem to make no sense in the modern day.

    • @RB-lt8kt
      @RB-lt8kt Před rokem

      @@milksterb I thought V2 spec cars had rear speakers, I will check mine. I had to take what Cupra had in stock or wait 6 to 9 months (now 12 months). Yes I think the 77kwh is 4 seats due to weight restriction of chassis. No towing either ???

    Lame car, too heavy, ugly design.....I prefer the Tesla Model 3..

    • @milksterb
      @milksterb  Před rokem +2

      Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Model 3 can look weird from certain angles. It's a personal thing but I think the Born looks very modern and mean. You could argue that the Tesla designers played it very safe when creating the Model 3 exterior. What you can't argue about is the performance and the efficiency of the batteries in all Tesla's, they're just very, very good. The lack of a hatchback on the model 3 meant it was no good for us because we have a dog.
