    Interesting Video! We are in our 80's and feel better than ever! For us ... we went to a whole-food plant-based diet to overcome life-threatening illnesses and it worked! We're doing research for our tiny new healthy-aging advice channel to inspire others! Learned from you and thank you!

      Wow... yours is an awesome and inspiring story. I loved reading your comment. It is true... the human spirit does not age. While some body parts may show wear and tear, the spark inside that is the essence of us stays strong and vibrant throughout the years.

    Oh alsoooo. I've been looking for a large package of coagulant for so long to justify taking this much time to make tofu bc the ones I have seen come in such small quantities that I feel like buying tofu packaged is worth it. (if this makes sense) But I do think it would be fun to try this! But alsoooo I think the asian store near me is going to bring it back unpackaged soon so that sounds like my best option hahah

      You can use lemon juice! It gives the tofu a nice, light lemon flavor :)

    When I chop up all my apples for applesauce and pie, I use the bruised fruit, skins and cores for my apple cider vinegar. After letting it ferment for a month, I add it to my old mother and it is the BEST-more flavor than store-bought, for sure. I’ve been doing this for three years now.

    • @ludicrousone8706
      @ludicrousone8706 Před 3 lety

      Most frugal way to do it. I keep a jar in the kitchen to which I add all the apple cores and skin that accurate over a week or so. If I have them I also add the leftovers of pears and quinces. Once the jar is full I leave it to ferment.

    Fresh tofu is so good! I haven't been vegan in years, but I still eat it. But I'm lucky to have an Asian supermarket who sells fresh tofu for like €1 a block, so I don't really bother making my own anymore. But I do still have soybeans, so I might just make some soymilk, because fresh soymilk is also much better than storebought.

    Getting a soy milk maker has been a great investment for me! I have a SoyaBella, which makes all the plant milks, so I avoid packaging, it's cheaper, and I can never run out of milk. It makes tofu really easily as well- the soy milk comes out already at temperature, so all you need to do is add the coagulant, wait, and then press!

    Love the video, I also am starting to prep for autumn and am making some fermented veggies, I love to mix spices in so am doing a curry and coconut one. Can I ask which blender you use? I bought I magic bullet years ago, and it's served me well, but when I need to upgrade I want something which will do smooth nut butters.

    I've just attempted canning some crab apple sauce for the first time and yesterday discovered a braeburn appld tree in a near by carpark so am making lots of portioned apple crumbles to put in the freezer tonight, looking forward to any other suggestions (especially to do with all these apples I now have!)
