- Riding my X18 super pocket bike. Stop at 2:45 for guy getting scared caught off guard as I fly past around a bend. Top speed has been reached in parts of the video. It is around 38-40 mph max.

Depends which state and what country you are in. I live in CA and these bikes are considered "off road vehicles" meaning that you can't ride them in the street. So in CA, no you don't need a license to ride them and no there is no age limit. However, that does not mean you can ride them on public roads. Only on private property, for an example your own land or backyard. Some states, these bikes can be registered and insured with a scooter/motorcycle license. Call your local DMV office to check!
Nope, I have the older version of the X-18 and they came standard with turn signals, tail lights and head lights. However, the new versions will not come with them. So if you buy a brand new one, yes you will have to get a light kit.
@element031 No. But legally speaking in CA, it's not legal to ride this in the street period. If you live in a different state other then CA, you may be able to register this bike as a moped. In that case, you will need a M2 class license.
State laws apply to every county. If you say they are legal in Michigan, then yes. But double check with your local DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) to make sure infact you can ride them legally. Of course, you will have to register the motorcycle and also have a Motorcycle permit or Scooter license. Check your state laws
It's expensive online. I suggest you find one used on craigslist for like 300-400 bucks.
You can buy them online. Just do a google search. Or buy one used off of Craigslist for cheaper

I went to the website and it says 70+ but it does get 40 miles to the gallon and it only weights 337 pounds If I could I would buy one but idk how tall it is and I don't wanna buy one and have my feet drag I'm 5'6 so idk

Depends on your state. In CA, these bikes are illegal to be ridden in the streets because they aren't street legal. Different states and different laws. Check your regulations and see if you can register and insure pocket bikes in your state. But most likely no

5'4 is a pretty ideal size to be riding on the x18 super pocket bike.

I live in CA, and these pocket bikes are illegal to be ridden on public roads. However, I live in the suburbs/rural area so I almost never see cops. I did get pulled over once, but the cop was nice and told me to ride it around my block instead of busy streets. Hence, he doesn't really care. Just wear a full face helmet and try to keep off busy roads and you're fine. I can't insure or register this bike in CA because it doesn't meet CA motor vehicle safety standards. Hope this helps!
Some states will not allow it all and some states also require you to have a License to ride a motorcycle or a standard C class License along with a License plate.

@ArmosPwnU Yes, but only if you get a good deal like on craigslist. It's not worth $700. It's worth at most $450. Look on craigslist and hunt for deals. I got this X18 for $120. Had to clean the carburetors and give it some TLC but it was all worth it for such a good deal.
Hey can you answer me a few questions? What's the fastest you've ever gotten it to? Does it have functioning brake lights, a headlight, and rear blinkers as well as front? And these are 125cc aren't they? I'm pretty sure I can get that registered street legal where I live in MT, all I need is to install side mirrors. Even though I've held an M1 for 3 years now and ride a 1000cc superbike, I'd still buy one of these to mash around town on if it's legal.
Why do you put the blinkers on so early? you can wait until you're just around the corner.
This bike is street legal depending on where you live. You MUST be 18 and have a motorcycle license. Must have Mirrors, turn signals, horn, headlights, taillights,etc.
I don't know where you heard that from, but it's not bad for a car or a bike at all. You only pull the clutch in when the engine rpms drop lower than the normal idle speed. Because if you don't, the engine will stall.
Online sites sell these for about $500-$600 shipped. I'd suggest you search Craigslist for one used since it's a lot cheaper.
@yumaokamoto Oh. Back when I was younger I had one. I can't remember the exact name of it, but the speedometer said 60, but the fastest it went was I think was 40. I think if you put in a racing cdi, it will go faster. I never tried it though.

i kno i prob. sound stupid but i dont know about pocket bikes , but is that the clutch u keep presing down with your left hand between shifts?
Upping the nice gear, but I think there is problem with the hydraulic brake.

I heard you need the certificate of origin but unfortunately I don't have one, do you know any other way? Maybe as a custom bike built by myself (homemade) to DMV specifications and getting it inspected.
@Zx10rshawn I just went to the junk yard, found a motorcycle license plate, and threw it on my x18. in connecticut, you dont need a registration sticker. the cops never pull me over. unless im going over the speed limit
the bike will reach higher speeds yes, but it's governed to about ~80MPH with a speedometer of 60MPH. Thee have a Sports compressed 110 cc engine so the look to be about 50cc in engin size and 100 cc hight wise. very fantastic bike, but to sum it up more high revs get more but does more damage

Unless it's super corroded, all you need to do is apply WD-40 and let it soak in overnight. Grease it the next day and get a wire brush and the rust should become brittle and flake off. If it's super rusted, you will need a new chain. Hope this helps.

Yea, I keep forgetting. Mainly because they don't make a clicking noise and it's hard to turn them off. Very cheaply made to be exact lol. Not like a real motorcycle's turn signal. You'll see once you get to ride these

No, it's manual. All X18's are manual. X19's and up come in a choice of either auto or manual.
I live in Oregon and I am 14 do you think that it would be fine if I road my x18 around the neighborhood just not on the streets i have had experience with other motorcycles :)
@MrAUFANATIC Top speed on these bikes are really around 40mph. Many people lie and say the can go 50mph stock but that's impossible. I've had four X18 Super bikes, each different years. The fastest stock bike hit 44mph on flat. I had aftermarket gearing and chains on the bike before this and I hit 52 mph.
Yes. Only the older models do. The newer ones are so cheap that you have to pay extra for them....

If a cop sees you, he will either ignore you or give you a warning or might even ticket you or take it, depending how you are riding.
Then you sell it cause if you get another warning, they will most likely take it.

Good eye! Was too lazy to adjust them perfectly, once you loosen them it'll take FOREVER to re align them.
I see the small red button under your throttle is that a push button start? If so did you install that or did it come stock, looks installed because of the zipstrip?

Craigslist used for $250. You can buy them online for ridiculous prices like 600-700 bucks. Not worth it in my opinion. Try to find one used!

NO, from a legal stand point its not but you could get a cool cop who doesn't care as long as your not "reckless". You can make these legal since they have signals but you would be paying more to get it legal than the bikes worth.

It depends where you live. You won't make it past inspections here in CA no matter what you put on it.
