I took the cog railway to the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire years ago, and i remember it was warm (maybe int he 70's or so?) at the bottom, but in the 309's and snowing at the top - was SO weird. And you couldn't really see a lot due to cloud cover/snow, but it was something I never forgot! LOL at you saying "COFFEE!" as soon as you got inside the Mt. Roberts Visitor's Center! :)

I would have LOVED to see it snowing! You would have had to tie me to the train to keep me on it if it had been snowing! This is something I will never, ever forget. Took my breath away. Haha! I was so cold! Hugs my friend!

Hi Favor! I loved the views from the tram ride....beautiful! It's so scary when a tram moves!!! Those trails would have been interesting to go up if there wasn't so much mud...YUK!! Beautiful views on the way down too!! Hugs!!
I could feel my fear of heights beginning to stir as I watched the view from the tram. I don't think I could do it.
I am surprised the tram didn't really trigger my fear of heights. Fist movement sort of got me a bit but then I was fine. I don't know why, I just felt secure.. or maybe I was focused on the camera and not the height! haha! Hugs!

The tram view was great and im sure with no fog they would be amazing. 42 degrees not bad. It was a low of 44 here the other night in June in Upstate New York.
I guess I thought the temperatures in Alaska would be colder. Seeing snow when you've never seen it has to be pretty cool. I like the first snowfall and then I hate it LOL

It was colder at times, it was really the wind that made it really cold! I have learned I don't think I'd enjoy living with snow for several months at a time. Alaska did teach me that for sure! Hugs!

The snow was melted when we were there last week, but it was muddy. I hate that it was foggy for you guys, because it was an awesome site while in the clear.

Good views of tram (what could be seen-not your fault- darn fog)!! Would love to take a tram ride (going to St Thomas in Jan.)but afraid of heights & steepness of it all. I figured there would be a gift shop at the top. Can't ride all the way at the top just to walk trails. Lol!! Have really enjoyed your Alaskan videos Sylvia
D & G Explorers did a video of the tram ride in St. Thomas...might help ease your fears a bit. This ride was not bad. I felt secure the whole time. It was windy so towards the top it swayed a bit but there were bars to help steady the car so I knew it was common for it to happen and we were not in danger. Fast ride up and down and no sick feeling in my tummy or legs. Maybe stand in the middle and go in a car that is a little more full to help make you feel more secure. I am terrified of heights but this actually didn't bother me whereas on the train in a couple spots I felt a bit uneasy. Hugs my friend! here is the video: czcams.com/video/_SFrHtKOwtQ/video.html

Which was better: nugget falls trail or mt Roberts lift? I’m going in May and will only have time for one after my excursion. Fingers crossed mine won’t get cancelled. Love your videos. Found you via Parodeejay
Hmmmm... now that is a good question... I think Nugget Falls would be my personal choice. It is SO BIG and it takes your breath away with how pretty it is. Being able to get right on the water and to be so close to the glacier... I'd go to the Falls... Thank you for coming over and watching! PDJ are such kind people and we love cruising with them! Roberts so very happy I got to finish your Alaska series as well. Completely different view point, and both very helpful. Now fingers crossed my cruise will even sail in May (and then another in Oct). Until then I will just watch all the CZcams cruise vlogs to get me by.
