@bdown8 for three albums they were musical geniuses. And Justice for all, Master of puppets , ride the Lighting. They had complex arrangements more like classical music. Starting soft working to a crescendo. Black album was good in its bluesy slow drumming riffs but not the same They lost their way for a bit and have shown some decent return on Death Magnetic, and Hardwired. Definitely one of the best.
