Here's a first video on many fronts: The first baseball team I have profiled and the first Pittsburgh team I'm taking on. Oh, boy, this one is a doozy. A team where everything fell to shit pretty quickly. A team that once had twenty-consecutive losing seasons is back to losing again after several wild-card defeats.

As a Dodgers fan for NL and Angels fan for AL when I get angry at Dodgers messing up, or Angels ruining Trout and Ohtani's careers, my friend who is a Mariner fan shuts me up and tells me I don't know what frustration and anger is until I become Mariners fan. This applies to you all as well. Looking at Mariners, makes me not even complain about Angels management even though Arte Moreno is a piece of dog$ht. He tells me I should be happy I get to see generational talent locked in with the Angels and see them play and that I should feel privileged since Mariners don't know how to take care of their players and their superstars all leave. Mike Trout locked into 12 year contract.

The one thing that really pisses me off as a Pirates fan, is I will carry to my deathbed the argument that the pirates should have won the WS in 2015. The pirates had the second best record in baseball, but no ace, and lost to the team with the third best record in baseball. But they had by far and away the best offense in the league, and 4 solid number 1 pitchers (Cole, Liriano, Burnett, Happ). But they got fucked. Absolutely fucked. And our cheap ass owner won't spend a fucking dime to keep us in the running, even though that's very possible. It's pathetic and pisses me the fuck off.

One game playoffs are absolutely bullshit. It's not a test of one team as much as it is a test of one player.
In addition, the team with the second best record in all of baseball should not be playing the team with the third best record in all of baseball in the first round.
IN A ONE GAME PLAYOFF. I cannot scream and shout enough about how idiotic it is that the wild card games are one game playoffs, but for it to have been that year the team with the 2nd best record in baseball in a wild card game against the team with the 3rd best record? Absurd.
Lariano can only pitch to Russel Martin, any other catcher would take time to get use to the incredible amount of wild pitches he throws, Lariano can barely hit the strike zone most games, it surprises me that he was in the Jays rotation, I really hope that Biagini keeps his spot on the rotation.

Im glad he mentions the 3 seasons we were playoff contenders. Most people seem to forget/not acknowledge we were the 3rd best team in the entire MLB for a few years. The only reasons we couldn't make it further was we had to battle the two best teams who where in our OWN DIVISION! I mean seriously, best in the league behind Cubs and Cardinals!

Just about everything that applies to the Pirates (minus Marte's stupidity) applies to the Mariners. Except that Dipoto genuinely seems like a smart GM making good moves that won't decimate the team for the next decade. Pre-Dipoto M's? Definitely lolcows. Jury's out on them as of now, though. If they're not on the right track, then they're at least approaching Exit 1337 to merge on to the right track.
Thus was absolutely amazing. It was honestly analytical but sprinkled with a generous amount of humor which made it a work of art.

agreed its hard to be an orioles fan. after we destroyed boston in 2011 and managed to make the playoffs in 2012 and 2014. this year, however the cracks are beginning to show. A rotation that is doing as bad as it was projected to do (save for dylan bundy) injury after fucking injury to the bullpen, machado playing like bryce harper did last year, Davis, a guy we paid 169 million dollars to when we could've gotten cespedes for like 75 million, he is our version of Adam Dunn and fucking Jimenez....hate him.
The way we're playing now we gotta get new blood into our system, trading machado britton Tillman and maybe even Jones may not be such a bad idea, but what sucks is that since those guys are all either under-preforming or not preforming at all is that we most likely won't get a great deal out of it.
