Can you explain the VAT process? Im looking at purchasing a cartier bracelet from the UK and live in the US, does this have to be done in person? Or online is also acceptable?
Hello! That is a great question! The VAT refund is applicable to countries that are a part of the European Union. Currently, the U.K. is in the process of withdrawing its membership but you can still claim a refund. I recommend talking to a sales associate from Cartier to see if they can help you with your question and if they can provide more information about the VAT process in the U.K.
In my experience, I have tried to do this with other brands and have been unsuccessful. Keep in mind, some companies have policies against doing just that and will not ship overseas.

In 03:32-03:33 one can see that the other side of the motif in her hands is Carnelian, not Guilloché…Makes the impression of being fake. Van Cleef & Arpels does not design differently on both sides of the same bracelet, as far as I know.
If you look at the bracelet, one can easily see that both sides are guilloché. I flip and angle the bracelet multiple times during the video. The “carnelian” that you think you see, is actually a reflection of my red nail polish
