Beautiful strike from rashford but beyond that he was shocking
Whole team is a joke TBH. When you consider the money spent and this is what you get? It's really inexcusable. Also, this argument that Ten Hag is a good manager but doesn't have the players is a fallacy because he doesn't have the players because of his poor, terrible signings. He was given a huge amount of money and wasted it
@@decimustv4257yawn
He didnt waste money on shaw.maguire.lindehoff,wbs,dalot - thats an entire defence. He bought none of these but they are still lingering around our club. @@decimustv4257
To be honest I didn’t expect a win, thought we defended well, Evans was brilliant as was Dalot and Varane
You don’t go into a derby thinking that if you was local fan you wouldn’t be saying
Seriously ? I know what you mean though, heart say win, but head says we’ve lost 12 games $$iteh lost 1 scoring Ave goals of nearly 3 a game and we’ve struggled to get plus 1 goal all season. We’ve a depleted squad and they were at full strength, bookies had United at 9/1 to win.
Fancy us against the dippers in my heart though again
@@JungleUTFRCity weren't quite at full strength, Grealish was injured .... but yeah, for some reason i can see United having 'one of those days' at home and knocking Liverpool out of the FA Cup .... not so sure i would be able to to if the game had been at Anfield though!
@@barryh.4220 agree with you mate, Grealish normally gives us a hard time too, I’m sure we all felt the same yesterday ( gutted ) if we have Rasmus back and put a bit of effort in we could beat the bin hoakers 🙏
United did not defend well. City walked through them
Grew up during the 70's and watched it dominated by Liverpool. That went on into the 80' except for a few cup wins. Alex Ferguson arrived and things got no better but after the win at Forest, things got better and as they say the test is history. Arguably the best times of my life things money cant buy. As for now i cant believe how far we have fallen. All i can say is keep the faith back in the 70's i never thougt i would see what United have achieved. What happens now no one knows but the one thing i do know is that Manchester United will never die.
I've travelled that journey with you bud. Often I saw more passion in the 2nd Division- than now though.
Died already mate😂
I’m 57 n supported Utd 49yrs seen the good the terrible; and had me screaming jumping up n down fantastic; my weekend would be ruined if we lost that’s the passion I held in my heart for Utd, not like today’s camera Laiden Instagram enthusiasts who turn up just to post pics, look at me I’m at OT, n don’t care about the results, I did, still do. Football as evolved immensely and with the new regime I hope we can turn things around. Definitely gotta get the right manager for starters and also have a massive clear out, I will include rashford in that clear out if his heart ain’t in the fight. I do think eventually we will start competing again and be up there. GGMU🇬🇧
Rashford should've been substituted after he scored that wonderful goal because he did absolutely nothing after that.
True he did nothing Rashford
Dogshit
Rumour has it he was seen partying in Belfast after scoring 😂
He was our only threat. What the f did Garnacho do? When Rashford had to go off it was game over, City had nothing to be worried about.
@@creepingbrain ...errr you've got to give Garnacho the ball. He sprung forward a few times in the 2nd half but Bruno was the guilty party on a number of occasions and just didn't see him, passing sideways or back.Surely that was the game plan get that ball over the top when City were pressing ? We started doing it early on in the first half but then seemed to abandoned the idea.
Not an embarrassing game/result, which is all we asked for. Super p*ssed at Rashford diving like a tit though, cost us a goal there.
He's weak minded and physically weak too. That possibly could have been a goal if it was Hojlund

What would you expect when fielding academy players against seasoned professionals?
City have had their starting 11 most of this season.
United haven't.
It's the way it is, but significantly different between the two.
Don't make excuses,we we shocking, who were the new academy players
@@ginola602 Kambwala and Forson have only recently joined the seniors in training, but are hardly equivocal to the likes of KDB, Rodri, Silva or Haaland.
Mainoo has only played 13 league games to date.
United have no striker with Hojlund injured and Martinez out meaning they have to field Evans who left the club years ago and also having to play players out of position because they have no left back available (Lindelof standing in).
That's not making excuses.
That's the objective truth.
What were City missing if anything?
@@Scratiznutzno other team gets injuries 😂😂😂
The problem is United couldn't hold on to the ball for more than twenty seconds. It's like city had an extra two or three players on the pitch. It was inevitable they would go on to win that game. I'm not blaming the United players today, I thought they worked hard throughout, but the gulf in class is there for all to see.
True words well said
Johnny evens at what 37 was our best player followed by varane ... What was the game plan let them play the game in our box and park the bus and hope for breaks... Brutal by eth....
What would you have wanted? For United to try go toe to toe with Man City?? Counter attack could work if we protect the ball when we get it and also win physical battles against City players. We can't do either of the two
He's damned either way.
Plays possession football, gets slated.
Plays defensive football, gets slated.
It doesn't matter what he does, he's always going to get pelters, though if he didn't park the bus and hit them on the break, United would have ended the match completely trounced.

From a City fan , i really enjoy your honest summary of the game and United s performance, respect
Man utd enemy are themselves. Man city play a controlled game. Seems man utd can’t connect two passes together. Is it the skill level ?
United had actually lookedorganised at the back until Foden equalised, even though City might have scored two or three times in that period ..... De Bruyne hadn't had the best of games , and City were finding it very difficult to break United down.
As expected really. The effort was there, but the quality wasn't, when all is said and done. Huge improvements needed, but we all knew it.
Get Marcus to train with sale Sharks, he might not go down as easy and toughened him up

He's too soft
Probably complain to his agent, manager, assistant, press secretary, publicity and government liaison about how tough life is outside his bubble.
Onana and Evans today kept that score down and the intensity.
Excellent, sensible analysis. By far better than anything I have heard so far. Don't get me started on the other Utd channels & Talksport. Anyway, great job guys!
Disappointed? It’s an understatement. Bluntly speaking, ETH’s reign as manager/coach has ruined my enthusiasm watching our team play. If we’re not careful, our youngsters will be ruined from disappointment after disappointment. Our play is too joyless.
Who you do bring in then
Always a fan says something like that. The countless times a fan has said some of the line of enthusiasm under LVG, Jose and Ole.

Great summary. Onana was very good but I can't help but wonder if de Gea might have saved the two Foden goals. Dalot is very solid performer now too. I see a full strength United side being not far off Arsenal and Liverpool. Garnacho is being overplayed the lad is only 19. I would say United need cover for Shaw, a winger and a central midfielder unless Mount can play there. I think if you look beyond the defeats some players are improving a lot, Hojlund I think will have a career like van Nistelrooy.
More of that from Rashford and then hopefully we can sell for a good price, he can try and convince a clueless club to pay his wages.

God that was 98 minutes of pure pain and anxiety. Depressing football. Why do all our managers eventually revert to playing this god awful negative football. "Well organized" "disciplined"
Complete bollocks
Woeful football
All the managers do the same because the players have no desire.
Down to the players not being capable of being a possession based team and not wanting to work hard enough to be a pressing team, so they revert to this
Looking forward to the summer and hopefully seeing the back of half of them
It was anxiety but the manager can only organize with the players he has (mostly poor players), Play open football against Man City we are losing 8-0...

The club is run for commercial success, not football success. To be the top team consistently in the current climate would take far more money than staying around 4th so just enough was done to keep the money rolling in. This was a fine plan until we got Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and City all competing for top 4 and the rest of the league getting stronger. We’re running a strategy 5 years out of date with owners asleep at the wheel while the cheques keep flowing.

The Gulf in class is frightening.
Spot on Tony
Better than i thought we got absolutely battered but defended manfully, but undoubtedly the most disappointing thing was the few occasions we got possession we panicked and gave it straight back.Composure completely dissolved with the ball.
City are a well oiled machine and we are a team in transition with quite a few key players out through injury. The result was no surprise. The lads put a shift in but were undone eventually by city’s extra quality.
Hi lads, City fan here ..... not a bad assessment that, we really struggled to penetrate your defence in the first half, United were covering for each other really well, and doubling up on City players where they needed to .. and even though Rodri, Haaland and Foden might have scored for City in that period, that united ball that flew straight across the City penalty area and was completely missed by a couple of United players might well have added to Rashfords excellent early goal.
Second half and you could just feel that once Foden had equalised, City could smell blood, and they went all out for the win .... gaps began to emerge in the United ranks, probably due to the changes (personnel/positional) that Ten Hag made, and you could just sense a second City goal coming, which it duly did .... Amrabats dallying on the ball then handed Haaland a third City goal and the game was over.
Foden was superb for City, especially second half ..... United massed in defence, were organised, and made it very difficult for City for a good 50 minutes until Foden struck that brilliant opening City goal right 'out of the blue' in the 2nd half, but after that you could just sense the game was ebbing away from united.
I’m a blue and I’ve never felt so comfortable in a derby, yous had 1 shot on target and 0.00 XG 2nd half.
The only surprise was it wasn’t 5-0 and that’s not arrogance, we bummed you.
Good summary Tony
We are , I now believe, a work in progress
Look at their lineup never mind their bench !! ETH working against the waves of poor Glazer decisions over the last number of years- can’t blame the coach
New regime now - we’ll get there coz Man United will NEVER die!!
Jonny Evans unbelievable!!!
Varane showed why he is world class and a multiple champions league and world cup winner. Hope his next club treats him better.
It wasn’t just the taking off of Evans. Ten Hag took off Evans and then made too many positional changes in defence:
- switched Dalot from right back (where he had been playing well) to left back
- put the kid in at right back
- moved Lindelof to centre back.
3 positional defensive changes sorely disrupted the chemistry in defence. United looked all over the place after that.
Without injuries we win this game.
Great video guys. ETH said Evans and Rashford were carrying injuries, but played. I do have some sympathy for the players getting tired, playing on the counter should be one element of your gameplan, not your entire gameplan, but I understand why it had to be done. Overall we were playing too deep and couldn't string together passes and keep the ball, there was never a sustained period of attack throughout the whole game, and that is reflected by us only having 2 corners compared to city having 15. We had 3 shots with 1 on target compared to city having 27 with 8 on target.
I agree Varane and Evans were an outstanding partnership, but if we maintained some periods of possession the players wouldn't be so drained. Not maintaining possession has a knock-on effect of players having to run more, feeling tired, not maintaining concentration etc... I appreciate we have injuries with a lot of first team players out, but that's precisely why you have a squad, but we all know because of structural reasons we haven't invested wisely in our squad unlike our rivals that have players that can drop in and out and they can still maintain a high level. Like many of you, I'm hoping Sir Jim and Ineos can help rectify some of these mistakes and get us back on track.
You know what I like about this channel no matter what happens in the games you can always rely on you lads giving an honest assessment of the days football. No bullshit That’s why as a blue I always check in on this channel. Keep it up fellas
Stay away from Mark Goldbridge then haha. He thinks Walker and Ederson should have been sent off
I'm a blue but Tony talks sense and is pretty much spot on here.
Don't know what game Tony was watching ?!? "Great periods of play"..we couldn't string two passes together before losing the ball..only 1 shot in 90min. It was a attack v defense training drill for the berts..simple as.
🤣 and how happy he is when we win undeservedly..always saying he expected it 😂shows how our standard has completely fallen on the wayside. If we persevere with TH..this what we will be expecting..
to be fair its been like that for a few seasons now.
What is the point of Amrabat? I've not seen anything from him ever in an MUFC shirt?
I doubt whether he'll even be in a United shirt next season!
Can't fault the effort from the players too many times we've been on here questioning the effort and togetherness and they showed both today especially in the first half.we can't be to disappointed the gulf in class is a million miles.strange decision to take manioo off and leave casemero on but other than that I was happy enough.sad to say but that's reality until we can get a clear out in the summer
As expected.
2nd best today
Apart from rashfords great goal we were defending and chasing shadows
I am not surprised with the result though I thought 3-0 so at least we didn’t get totally battered
Still Ten hag praises Rashford’s effort,he must think we’re all thick and don’t know the game
To be honest..We Utd fans are just waiting/hoping for better days , I am kinda numb to defeat now it happens so often there is very little to get disappointed about. Aim should be to try and get 4th or 5th and win the FA cup , that would be a good season for this lot.
Great start off to flyer but to be honest the better team won, i am disappointed but not surprised .
Watched 2 games today: the derby and later FC Porto v Benfica. In the 60s United ran rings around Benfica and tonight Porto did the same. You can claim all kinds of things for the EPL but I’ve just seen a team give 110% and win the game 5-0. Unfortunately the victors were once again in blue, with the red team looking shapeless and clueless after the interval. Ironically, one of the best performances came from a player ‘on loan’ from Ajax. I hope ETH was watching from the comfort of his sofa and that he saw the commitment and energy on show for the duration of a match played in the pouring rain ( the only thing we had in common).
It went as expected
Onana's performance was one positive to take out of the game.

If you look at the stats , big difference . city had 15 corners.
Big up guys just don't know what to say first half played good should have been 0-2 up 2nd half we just went to sleep 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Our defence was decent today. Only Lindelof struggled on the left. But the whole defensive unit was ok. Pitting McTominay & Bruno in upper midfield to contain Rodri & Stones was effective. Upfront not effective, as there’s no Hojlund to make them uncomfortable. Garnacho showed his inexperience. Rashford was no fight against Walker for pace. Psychologically, he’s already beaten with the duel. He would have been more productive on the right against Ake. Just had to accept the 3-1 scoreline. No complaints.
Don't normally disagree with Tony but hes talking absolute nonsense, apart from the goal we we're useless, this manager needs to go , it easily could have been 6 7 -1 ,we contolled absolutely nothing, Evans and Varane played well, what did Casimero and Mainoo control !We hardly touch the ball, remember we're Man United That was no where near good enough, and this Manager wont be here at the start of next season!
City were unbelievable the way they pass and move with the ball is levels above what Utd produce. Rashford could of stayed up when he was 1v1 with walker he didn’t fancy it fell to the floor never a foul

Feel a bit for Rashford. That second chance he had when he only had to head the ball into his path and he was clean through on goal.
And he had a third chance when he swiped at thin air. Imagine the effect on the club, his team mates and the fans had he buried City with a hat-trick?
Yes, I know the stuff of dreams. But then again, so was his goal yesterday.

You said couple days ago that United don't have the legs, and that's what it is we just don't have the 3nergy the man city, liverpool, arsenal , spurs, aston villa, and many more teams have.
From 5pts off fourth place to 11 in a week. 11 defeats just in the league and a goal difference of minus 2, what an absolutely rancid season Utd are having.

As a city fan city where there for the taking in the first half. Long ball down the middle had Dias on ropes again every counter attack. We need to address that. KDB very quiet. Doku looking like prime Darius Vassel lol. Can't believe you guys didn't pursue that as an avenue. Soon as you guys stopped trying to attack. It was always going to be one outcome. Fare assessment from you guys although we took the pea eye double Snakes in the second half. Very embarrassing for you guys again.
The scary part is that we actually tried, and we're still a million miles away. At least with the usual lack of commitment we witness from the players, we can then pretend it can only get better.
Realty slapped us up and down town.
Can we be satisfied as united fans playing counter attacking football? Correct me if I’m wrong but we won our first two trophies even maybe the first league in 92/93 playing this style. It worked for fergie so what’s the desperation of having a style of play and dominating football games. That comes when the team is peaking not when it’s building.
@@Draper99 not quite the style we played yesterday with all 11 men behind the ball 😂 but we definitely played a variation of the counter attack? I can remember giggsy sharpey and Andre flying out the traps back in the day. I was only 12 in those days tho so maybe my memory is a little jaded.
I wouldn't agree that United "wilted in the 2nd half"; I would say they got ran over by a fitter, stronger, hungrier team. Dalot and Evans and Verane played a great game, Casemiro too. After rashy scored he fell off into the background. Garnacho NEVER turned to face his opponents after receiving the ball facing his own goal, never does. He also never helps in defense, I saw Dalot looking at him several times after Dalot had to give away a corner, like he wanted to know " why no help?"
We all look shattered, we couldn’t keep the ball, it’s hard to see where we are headed with the squad we have available, Shaw could be out rest of season, Martinez the same ! Big gaps are starting to show
