G'Kar and Londo-- "Shut up!"
Vložit
- čas přidán 6. 03. 2008
- Two G'Kar and Londo clips from the Babylon 5 episode "And All My Dreams, Torn Asunder." Season 5 episode 16.
"Where I go, he goes. Where he goes, I go."
I'm sorry about the poor quality and the subtitles.
I do not own this material. It is not intended for profit.
Londo and G'Kar turned into an old married couple, somewhere in the fifth series.
If you recall "A View From The Gallery," one of the mechanics made the same remark!
Old enemies can get like that. You're almost fond of them, and prefer old enemies (whom you know well, and who remember the same things you do) to new ones - young energetic whippersnappers who don't know the first thing about anything...
Also your spouse becomes like a chess opponent who has played you 1000s of times and knows exactly what gambit you'll play...
@@SuperBartles Yes, note how he kept the one whom he most directly hated and whom hated him most. There is no trickery or feign compassion for the sake of what it'll get them. You always know where you stand with them and on days where you can get them on your side, you have a powerful ally.
@NinjaRider777R I mean, G'Kar kinda did mindrape Londo. That makes them very intimate...
As Sinclar perdicted in seasson one
"depending on how seriously everyone took it. Someone got married yesterday"
"Ah, maybe that's why G'kar looked so excited. Funny, I didn't think Londo was his type"
The evolution of their relationship was my favorite thing in the entire series. It's amazing that characters so complex can also be so hilarious. :D
For me, Londo and G'Kar made the show. Although I am sure Londo never suspected the minister would actually dare to arrest him with G'Kar, I think it was still noble of him to stand for the Narn as he did.
I agree totally, Londo and G'kar made the show what it was.
@@Rimasta1 Just like other comedies, they were great together, it is sad what happened to Londo, I didn't consider a bad person, just one who was naive in what he wanted and what it entailed in getting.
@@55Quirll To be fair, naive in a world of Vorlons and Shadows is par for the course.
"Where I go he goes"..."My condolences"...G'Kar: "Thank you it's been a burden but I've come to accept it" ROFL! xD
Epic reaction :D
Was that meant to be a shot at the Minister and the Centauri in general, or at Mollari?
@@trinitymplayers
I took it as a shot at the Minister. The minister regarded G'Kar as a moving object. G'Kar's retort was telling the Minister "you're not ignoring my ass, you ass."
the sass on G'Kar is legendary here
Sass
Even when he doesn't say anything...
@@tylisirn That is how you know the sass is of exceedingly high level and quality.
Andreas Katsulas played many roles, but this is legendary and made him immortal
Rip!
Had a few stints in Star Trek as well.
@@tilasole3252 The man had monstrous screen presence in whatever he did, TnG Tamalak was ever memorable. But on Babylon 5 it was such an easy going democratic production that the actors could ad lib in various takes and if good enough it would be kept in, they all felt a special connection to their characters but as JG'kar, a tormented flawed warrior priest of a long oppressed peoples by a major but fading power... I mean Christ on a bike if this isn't one of the most masterfully relevant speeches I have ever heard in anything I have ever watched, and it could only have been delivered by him, with great set-up by Peter Jurassic as the oppressor:

Also the quality of these upscales is nuts. :D
Their story-arc from near-mortal enemies to loyal brothers was a wonder of repentance, forgiveness and redemption. Well done.
Not near mortal enemies. Just mortal enemies.
It's incredible that two men as quirky and brash as this could have one of the cutest friendships/bromances/rivalries ever. :)
Londo was married five times, not four. G'Kar is the fifth.
LMAO
When I read this, why can I hear Londo's voice?
Honestly, probably his best match. Well, tied with Timov.
These two had, in parts, a great relationship, eventually having a far superior double act than Laurel and Hardy, but all the time aided and abetted by superb writing, and impeccable timing, from 2 extremely talented actors. RIP AK, long remembered, not just for this, but for all the "baddies" you played in previous lives.
"Shut up!" - "I didn't say anything" :D They are the best old maried couple in all of tv history. Them and Mortisha and Gomez, that is.
Not old, but The Honeymooners?
@@greggweber9967 Ok, let's say there is some top tier list of best (old) maried couples in tv. Like the olymp of maried couples.
And Londo and G'Kar, Mortisha und Gomez and the Honeymooners are amon them :D
one of the best on screen bromances ever recorded
"even one as arrogant as this would not take it upon himself to imprison his own Prime Minister!!" .... *SLAM* ...."Shut up!" ~ "I didn't say anything" .... LOL!!! ~ one of the best scenes!
David King he let Londo change clothes at least
well seems he just did
Well he did tell Londo that to refuse the order would carry sentence of death - so if he'd failed to imprison Londo He'd have got shot himself and Londo & G'Kar would still would be in jail or G'Kar would.
Besides it's lucky as they might not have stumbled across N'Toth if they'd not been hanging around the jail (or did that happen before this - I forget).
That last "Shut up!" was because he was thinking it...
Love the way there relationship changed to respect and friendship
G'Kar and Londo's journey from deep mutual hatred to petty bickering is one of the great stories of modern sci-fi.
"Its late, I'm sure you'd like to freshen up. Both of you"
"Its a natural musk! I rather enjoy it"
I love it how their chemistry was fully utilized by the writers.
The guy playing the minister has an amazing voice.
"SHUT UP"
"I didn't say anything"
lol always laugh the house down a this scene
babylon218
"Even one as arrogant as this would not take it upon himself to imprison his own prime minister."
*gets imprisoned*
"Shut up!"
"I didn't say anything." XD
Once that door closes, you could almost hear that Trumpet (Wha Wha Wha Waaaaaaa) in the background. lol
I swear....when I heard the door shut I lost it. I haven't laughed so hard since. This scene was pure genius.
The chemistry of these two men is wonderful. They play off each other so well. This is how you do excellent character writing and acting.
These two interacting with eachother really was the best part of the whole show - although the entire show was one of the best ones ever made.
I love G’Kar and Londo so much, it’s fascinating to see how they have changed since season one... because really they haven’t changed as much as they just matured and “see” through all their past bullshit now. One was enlightened through his suffering, the other was humbled through his misery. Londo needed taken down a peg and G’Kar needed faith and hope to rise above. So now they are balanced, equals, set up for different fates. The Narn and Centauri are both dying races, it’s in their best interests to exist in harmony, like Londo and G’Kar learned to do. Their farewell scene still makes me tear up :(
G'Kar and Londo playing off each other is well... it's some of the most legendary things in Sci-Fi
I love these two .Ho their characters developed over the course of the series was masterful. Great acting. Great storyline RIP Andreas Katsulis
LMAO... That pre-emptive "Shut UP" is the greatest line ever delivered on TV !!!! 😂😂🤣🤣
"Even someone as arrogant as this won't imprison their own Prime Minister. "
Next clip he is. That continues to amuse me. LOL.
It's an old trope, but it's pulled off beautifully.
I love how these two evolved from blood enemies, into an old married couple.
Abbott & Costello, Laural & Hardy, and now, presenting... Molari & G'Kar! 🤣🤣🤣
The dynamic between those two is always fantastic. Especially in Season 5
"I didn't say anything."
But you were thinking it.
Loudly.
"Shut up"
"I was trying to help!"
Jms was awesome in how he delivered comedy with drama I wish season 5 could have had a more positive ending for londo and his people
I love the way they combine aspects of the French, British, and even Japanese empires into their designs. And how they have at least two distinct ethnic groups with different accents and noticeably different prosthetics.
"Shut up."
"I didn't say anything."
"You were going to."
Soooo many fishies, but not one for me :(
Well... At least they allowed him the dignity of getting dressed before dragging him to the dungeons. That's a start.
Peter Jurasik and the late, great Andreas Katsulas were pure comedy gold.
+sparrowlt who is down below some. I believe they speak centuari, as an ambassador and an expert on the centuari people G'kar can speak most likely fluently centuari. His father served an centuari back on narn during their first occupation, so he most likely learned it at a young age aswell. They are also in the court of centuari so it would be more natural if they speak the language.
Loved the show and the whole dialog between g'kar and londo is mostly funny or heartbreaking.
G'Kar: ....
Mollari: Shut up!
G'Kar: I didn't say anything?!
Me: 😂
"My condolences"
Yea and G'kar of all people answers on that XD And that dude TOTALY ACCEPTED IT XD
Don't you just love what Londo is doing with his hands at 2:31 ?!
If only he had some 6 shooters on his belt. Would have been legendary!! He coulda gone all clint eastwood on their ass
Their relationship became just wonderful.
These two are great.
These two made the whole show 🤣😂
Brilliant humour the two best characters on b5
Such great scenes and memories
Delightful! This could be an entire show.
I really need to sit down and watch Babylon 5. Seems like a great show
3:10 nice to see they let Londo get changed first before hauling him off to the gulag
@Babylon2260 He didn't have to. Some things need not be said. Muahahaha!
Thats just great!
G'Kar didn't have to say anything, lol.
2:56 This part reminds me of my cat whenever we have to shoo him off of the table XD.
3:04 He imprisoned his own Prime Minister.
Shut up
Later in the second scene came one of G'kar's best barbs, when he lauded Londo's attempt at a noble act, but suggested that he should have started with something more his speed--"the moral equivalent of an opposable thumb".
"Shut up."
"I didn't say anything."
^_^ That's one of my favorite parts of that episode.
The foundations of savage 😂🤣🤣
I loved it when Londo had to get into the elevator with G'Kar..and Londo kept saying if he didn't help him he was going to die!!!! Hilarious!!! And G'Kar was laughing at him..saying he didn't care!! Lol..too funny..😅
LOL i can't believe the ending is so sweet
Rumor has it that G'Kar and Londo are the best of friends.
How long have they been married?
Ooh those two..
At least, they were allowed to share a cell. I don't know if that was a kindness or further punishment.
yeah I think that is the best scene in the entire series
yeah it's totally worth it
This is the best scene in Babylon 5
Personally think it's kind of a shame they went down the whole keeper/Drahk route. The show wanted to cement that peace was fleeting and even when it was in hand it was never in the way people wanted
Gkar killed Londo by the end not because they truly hated each other but nearly out of a concern for a friend and the path he was being forced down. Similar to how Londo had told Vir to kill him if he ever became a threat to the empire
Londo: Open mouth, insert foot.
You know if the centuri weren't so racist I bet they would love G'kar. He had comebacks for days.
Which, to my mind, is the biggest tragedy of the Narn and Centauri's mutual history: they're more alike than either of them would be willing to admit.
These two were the best part of season 5.
Londo please, curb your enthusiasm
yes yo do. LOL.
Wonder how long they've been married
My favorite.. LOL
rofl! brilliant!
Classically comical!
Wow, they have subtitles for Narn!
Some of the best dialogue in the series was between those 2.
Londo must have been a Blast to Play
One description... Oops!
Never underestimate Centauri arrogance...
👍👍👍❤❤❤
BROS FROM ANOTHER MOTHER FROM DEFERINT WORLDS
Looks as though they were willing to imprison their own prime minister after all lol
Chinese subtitles? I have been looking for that. I would love to know where I can find the subtitle files.
Imagine being able to cover topics like racism without shoehorning in time travel to the fucking US / mexico border around 2016
I wonder what language they are talking "really" ..
i mean they are Centaury and Narn.. i doubt they would speak english all in the palace.. probably they speak Centauri and Gkar speaks it too...
Odd as it may sound, they could very well be speaking english, if it happens to be the only language they have in common.
Funny how the ads run fine but I cant watch the video
🤣
“He would never dare imprison his own Prime Minister!”
*clang*
Fuck
Did Londo call G'kar Londo?
I counted....
2 Shut up's
Anyone know what the "scroll" at the top of the screen is? Starts at the 2:53 mark.
Looks like Chinese
Never seen season 5. Is it worth it? I have the other seasons on dvd and have seen them when they aired.
At the very least, you need to see the finale if you never did.
I like Gaiman but his episode was only okay in my opinion. I was not a fan of Season 5, though to be fair I saw it only once years ago and it may have some hidden charms I can't recall. The emo telepaths were a major blow against it and it didn't really seem to go anywhere, though again, to be fair, I know their story arc was really messed with by the suits between seasons 4-5.
Really? I was not happy w/ the prospect of new characters (sp)...thats the main reason why I have never watched...but if people are recomending it, then I might have to give a watch...probably watch a few episodes before I actually buy the season.
A relationship like Jew and Palestinian. Everyone is in the wrong, but people are people.
