Although my personal bias was to Tears of the Kingdom, I'm so glad Baldur's Gate 3 won.
I didn't play too much of the game but there was no doubt they put so much love and effort into it.
Tears of the Kingdom, I loved a lot, but from my personal gripes with it, and a lot of others, I knew it wouldn't win GOTY.
It’s safe to say that the past few days, the bro was converted before our very eyes.
Gotta love how funny it is that within the first two minutes he called BG3 winning a bunch while thinking it was a joke.
Balders Gate 3 was going to win no competition

@@yan_dj c'mon man. don't be like this. we don't salt other games or their fans. Zelda is an awesome franchise and in any other year, I'm sure it would've won, be nice though, it's the reason BG3 won best community award.

It really is a great game, but I think what holds it back along with some other games that were nominated is it being a console exclusive game. It means even if it's amazing it will have a limited amount of fans to vote for it.
I seriously like Link in his Green Tunic better. I’m starting to have the feeling that the Green Tunic is being forgotten.
As long tears of kingdom won, Mario bros wonder, and Pinkmin I was grateful Nintendo got some shine…. Plus a Christmas miracle with 3 new games on NSO

I'm surprised at how many gaming channels reacted to the game awards and literally had no idea who he was. I guess gamers live under a rock when it comes to knowing the most famous present day movie celebrities.

well done doing a shortened video,big fan for years. i could skip though and get what i want fast, excellent. If i was a game developer, i would never turn up, just a quick video thanks. These self congratulatory awards bring out some of the worst people in the world, there opinion of ordinary people is similar to those in plantations 200 years ago. i seen such people in the private education sector, i have been appalled, the language used, is virtue signaling and manipulation. I feel too many bad eggs get to the top. i hope things improve for the future. maybe when the rest of the world becomes richer and is immune to our influence, we will see better examples of how things are done, perhaps influence us positively.
Big thanks for not deleting the comment, I remain a good fan, great work. Everyone keep your eyes open, we all love good games, but there are awful people that run our world. The best games will review well from the players or sell extremely well. Anything that comes from the blob take with a pinch of salt, it's like the oscars, a film doesn't have to be good to be an award winner. anyone watch bird Man, Michael Keaton he is cool and was fantastic in the first two batman films. But that film was awful, it was self congratulation award. I'm suspicious of large groups of extremely powerful people. And from what extremely powerful people have done in recent history, that gives a lot for the suspicion to work on. everything that is said or done question it, who benefits the most and with that in mind the truth gets closer.

I am Zelda fan 100%. So sad TOTK was not nominated for game of the year, but to me they are the number one game. There is no other games that has come close to Zelda games. Thanks for sharing this awards video.👍🥰

It was a coin flip between both games..but when it came to media outlet votes they jumped on BG3 band wagon. Lost in the votes since BG3 was something newer version Vs TOTK had similarity to BOTW..i just feel they shouldn't had wasted Aonuma and fujibayashi time flying all the way over there when Goeff knew BG3 won..they should've just send Doug Bowser for the that one award it won..
You can't release a 'Zelda' title and expect it to win year on year. Trust me, this will be the best thing for Zelda fans because they will get an even better game next time around. The bar has been set higher for everyone. this is a good thing.
Honestly the biggest bummer to me is that it's so rare for my actual GOTY to have a real chance of winning GOTY. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE AND BG3 CAME OUT OF NOWHERE

It's so rare for any franchise to win game of the year. It's taking 6-10 years to release a game and game awards are annual... so you do the math?
Anybody of course have their own opinion , and that is rightly so .... BUT, in my opinion little mention or some sort of award should have been given to RESIDENT EVIL 4 REMAKE , that was for me a GREAT game all around.
It was a great game, but this was a real tough year for game awards.
I definitely thought that Mario Brothers wonder would have won game of the year if tears of the kingdom didn't. Neither of those have gotten as many awards as they should have I thought. Balders gate 3 May have been an awesome game of itself, but I don't exactly prefer that kind of gameplay style
