I Tried a Kind of Yak Meat I Never Thought In My Life: A Typical Tibetan Food in Grassland Area.

Today, I will introduce a special food to you. That is the head of the yak.
Sounds a little bit strange, right? To local nomads, every part of the Yak is a treasure, and the yak’s head is the most precious food that is usually prepared when guests come.
I just recorded how the nomadic family cooked the yak’s head, from the initial yak hair removal, cleaning, braising to preparing the chili sauce, and more.
You can see the most authentic and traditional way of cooking yak’s head.
Of cause, how delicious it really requires you to come to Tibet to try it.

Beautiful land and sky and people. Fascinating to learn about this food prep.
Showing respect to the animal by praying for it after being slaughtered is the most beautiful thing to do. The best we can do when we eat meat is not waste it and enjoy eating it all. The place is heavenly and so is the food. Long live Tibet and it's culture 😍🙏
💕
Does Tibet have any vegetarian food besides Barley. Would love if you could make a video on vegetarian food cooked the traditional way of Tibet. Love Tibet n Tibetans

Fun video, we make similar foods from cattle. We split the skull perfectly in half remove brains and tongue for separate dishes and skull is then used for real mince meat pie. Which requires cooking down broth from skull till thick pie filling.
Love the chef caracture!

Ur place is so fascinating and lovable, may I ask if how much will it cost to acquire visa travel to Tibet...
the amount of visa fees is diplomatic issue. so usually they are reciprocal, meaning that would depends on which countries you are from. so you can have to call the chinese embassy or consulates in your own country.
Tashi delek jamyang. God bless u 💐💐💐
Thank you so much from Brazil

Your country for me is the most beautiful place in the world, would surely like to visit some day and hope by then the virus is gone away from human lives. I'm a vegetarian, so I may not wish to eat this head.... I'm seeing the head cooked in a video for the first time, but I'm in love with the place where you had this head dinner.

That was v interesting for me to see, a little hard to watch as I'm vegan now, but fascinating to see none the less.. can we have the recipe for the tibetan bread? 🍞 I would love to try to make it.
But you should try potato pancakes
And use mint coriander curd chutney make by sending through a Mixer
To make pancake grate or process potatoes mix in lil egg and flour salt to stabalize the batter
Then apply unsalted butter to the pancake before consuming
Dont get too fat you look purrfect rn tho
om mani pa mi hung...beautiful place...
The dinner look very yummy🤤I love spicy food🌶🌶🌶Well done🤗
Now this is call eco friendly. The normads, even the Mongolians, will eat any part of the livestock. No food wasting

@@TibettravelOrg let me accompany you next time 🤗😀
Wow, what a beautiful land scape. I thought it was somewhere in New Zealand. 👌👌👌
For the first time I saw real Tibetan food. But I was looking at the great scenery, the open sky, the green land and the clear water running down the stream. The question is can the Tibetans keep the land as clean and pure as it is now? Can they prevent industrialization from coming there and polluting all that clean pure water???
Tibetans live very simple and eco-friendly life i may say, and they respect nature. However, there is already railway line there as you can see in the video, and who knows what so-called development and destruction might come in the future?!
Industrialization happens around the cities for a reason. Industrial activities on the Tibetan plateau has historically been very limited. The altitude and remoteness prevents people from setting up factories and mines there. The cost of getting people, machinery, material and products in and out are just not worth it, even with improved transportation modern railways and highways bring today (meanwhile Xinjiang is seeing huge industrial activities - because it's FLAT). The Chinese government - with all its intentions - plan to set up Tibet as an eco-friendly model region where everything is sustainable. When they mean it they just do it. I have little worries in that regard.
Good
❤️
