- A great locally run business in the Smokies? We got that for ya today! Hometown Hero’s is a gourmet sub shop with great soup and sides and it’s run by a family native to Sevier County all their life!
Their passion is food, ministry, and giving back to first responders and veterans in the community and wow have they done just that!
They have now opened a second location in the Glades in Gatlinburg, otherwise known as the Arts and Crafts Community!

Hometown Heroes - the sandwiches looks so good! My husband is a Navy vet and I retired from a career in healthcare. Love that they appreciate our veterans, first responders and healthcare workers! Since we are local we will definitely stop in for lunch!

This sounds like an amazing place! I come from a family of first responders-my brother is currently a police officer and paramedic. My dad was an emt and fire chief for 46 years-he died in the line of duty and is now a national fallen fire hero. I’m a school psychologist/special education teacher, and my sister is a nurse. My aunt is a social worker. My grandfather was in the Air Force. What a way to give back to professions that get so much criticism. The food looked great and the owners are wonderful people to give back to the community like this and to show such support to people in such thankless jobs at times-you don’t enter these jobs for the money, but it’s because you really want to help others. So thankful for all our heroes! Will definitely add this to our list of places to try on vacation in November. Thank you for this review! So appreciate d.

What a fantastic place! The food looked delicious. My Son did two tours in Iraq ..So happy that he made it home...He has back pain for the rest of his life...He owns his own plumbing business and is doing quite well.. blessings

I wish I had a place like this close to me. Do they offer a variety of bread or just the white? Everything looked so good. I love a good sandwich and of course, soup. The people who own this place are so genuine and friendly. Even have the specials for church goers. I can see why you both love this place.
