I played that song by Coldplay almost continuously after my daughter died. Sometimes covers don’t evoke the same emotion as the original, but this one did. Thank you; it was beautiful, especially right after hearing of the death of your son/brother. My heart goes out to you. I’ve been where you are.

I listen to this over and over. I lost my husband to cancer in the spinal column june 22nd 2020. Started in a kidney. He had many surgeries. Because of this virus , it has made things much more difficult. Normally i would be by his side while he would get treatments or surgery. He didn't want to be all alone even if it was just a couple of hours. So he might not have died from the virus but he and i , his family and friends suffer the collateral damage. Everyone around the world is suffering. I pray for peace and love. Unity. Thank you for your your voice, your beautiful music. Allowing us into your home. Such a gift. Thank you.
And Melissa's daughter plays guitar and piano and sings with mom. And could we expect less? Beautiful!

this is the most beautiful touching thing I've seen in a while. I have several autoimmune diseases and this song hits me in my soul in a way no other song does because I've lost so much not being able to afford doctors and treatment. I also have a daughter so to see this performance as mother and daughter just hit so hard because I started getting sick after she, my 3rd baby, my last baby, my only daughter was about 2. She has never known me as the strong determined healthy grab life by the horns person I was before this. My daughter has only seen sick, weak, sorry i can't play, sorry I can't go outside the sun burns my skin maybe daddy can take you Mom. This ripped my heart out but music is always about allowing yourself to feel or go through something and today that for me was a good cry and appreciation for my precious little girl and remembering who I used to be and the fire I once had. Even though those aren't the happiest of tears I felt something and that's why music is so important and I'm glad I found this piece. Thank you for the post.

I commented on this beautiful song the other day, and today was told I have cancer inside of me. What a difference a few days make. I'm told it's treatable, we live in a new world I guess. Surprised at how hard it has slammed me to the ground emotionally. Disappointed for the interruption to my life but more worried about the effect it may have on those around me who care about me, making me aware of how much they care. Everything is different now, just praying that will be a good thing in the end. Bless you for putting your gift out there, I really never did, but given another chance I will try.💐😄😘 forgive the Debbie Downer attitude LOL just needed to get that out and you seem like loving people, didn't think you'd mind😇😸🙏

1988/1989 living in Hollywood I had a bootleg cassette of Melissa playing at The Roxy, which my roommate had recorded. I'd never heard anyone come close to what she could do live... & I wore that tape out. Still have it somewhere... but nothing to play it on.
