- This chubby senior Chihuahua was so scared in the shelter. He was pulled by Rita Earl Blackwell for A Purposeful Rescue and ended up being fostered by actress Kaley Cuoco! He turned into the happiest puppy and she decided she couldn't live without him ❤️

I’ve 2 Chis as well & one of my chihuahua dogs (Luchi) does exactly what Dumpy does when it comes to sleeping on the bed & that’s to get under the blankets lol. He’d literally be chilling under the blankets all leaning up against my legs lmfao. But R.I.P. to Dumpy tho & thank god he got to live a really happy life for a couple/few yrs with this nice actress lady 💯💯💯

She married a horseman. He has an amazing stables and shows all over the world.
I adopted a senior chihuahua several years ago. I had him for the last 3 years of his life. When I first got him, he was so sad and shy. It didn’t take long and he just blossomed. He was definitely my soul mate. He sadly passed away in September 2019. His little heart gave out and I held him in my arms and told him how much I loved him. I still miss my little protector.😢
So sorry you lost him. I hope you can find another - never the same, not a replacement - just a new companion.
Dear precious chi. My wee girl died suddenly too..they take a piece of your heart with them. xx
Chihuahuas get a bad rap but I'm telling you they are EXPERTS at stealing your ❤️!!! When my Cali died at least 3 grown men I know who were not Chihuahua fans BEFORE they met Cali cried when she passed away. When I first got her my other dog wasn't a fan either lol but it took maybe a week before Chaunci adored her...I think it was the thorough ear licking Cali gave Chaunci that did the trick haha! One day Cali got out and wandered down the street and the neighbors lab chased her back,Cali was shrieking in terror and Chaunci flew out of the house MISSED ALL OF THE STEPS and chased that lab back home...no one was gonna mess with her little buddy! I'm so sorry for your loss...I know how you feel. 😔
Chihuahuas get such bad rep
My grandma had a bunch of them when I was growing up (at one point she had 7!) they where all so crazy and cute and having them all with you in the couch while watching a show was just heart melting
I moved in with my grandma back in 2019 due to her living where I was gonna study college and by that time she only had 1 left, Mony
She and I would spend time together, but of course she was always with my grandma
When my grandma passed away in 2020, Mony and I had to move out to a new apartment, her passing hit us both really hard, and it was thanks to her that those first lonely nights weren't as lonely as they would've had I been alone
She was really old by then, yet she always acted like a little puppy, and every time I started to her up and cry, she would always be there tying to Lick my tears away.
Sadly a few months passed and her age caught up to her, I made sure she had everything on her last few days, I miss her very very much, and am grateful she helped me acomodate into my new life, now she is with all her sisters and my grandma I hope
@@notjaller Our grandmothers are so important in our lives. Even though it's been awhile since she passed, I know you'll always miss her and Mony too. So glad you had them in your life. 💕 You were truly blessed then and those sweet memories will forever continue to bless you.

Chihuahuas are so special. I never realized how amazing they are until I had one myself. No one snuggles quite like a Chihuahua ❤️
Totally agree
100%
I was raised primarily on Dachshunds because my mother loved them, but I also had a couple of dobermans, a rottweiler, a schnauzer, and a few mixes.
Dachshunds certainly have a lot of personality and their own unique little quirks, but one day I took in a stray down that was part chihuahua and I just fell in love with him. He was unlike any other dog i've ever had. He was very "handsy" as I like to call it, and very talkative too. I loved that little man with all my heart. I suspected those traits I really loved about him were from his chihuahua side so the next dog I rescued was one and boy i was right.
Handsy, talkative, so amazingly sweet and SO smart. So bossy too. I have a little girl now named Tiki, but I just call her Boss because she bosses me around so much. I don't feed her with the other dogs anymore because she is a little princess and only eats when she wants to eat, on her own schedule, and she will tell me exactly when she wants me to feed her. She is so clear in her communication to me it is nuts. I know when she wants her normal food, I know when she wants her dry food, I know when she wants each of her treat types, or when she just wants to play. She uses different ways to communicate everything and its just astounding to me. I'm so sorry I didn't discover how wonderful this breed was earlier in life, but now that I know, i'm unlikely to own anything else except the odd rescue here and there as i'm able.
I have 5 dogs right now, 4 of which are rescues, and I have plenty of space and land but I just can't keep up with all the vet bills. Two are very old and need $200 a month each for their medications, one has a lot of allergies and needs special medicine to keep from breaking out all over. Thankfully the other two have no persistent health issues, but all these expenses are murdering me. I wish there were a way to get funding to help you take care of them, i'd adopt 5 more! You can never have too many dogs. :)
A real person behind the 'Actress' persona. Like how she adopted a 'dismissable' foster dog and she had no problem with not being in 'full makeup' in bed. A true beauty inside and out.
She seems to be a nice person she didn't even have makeup on she didn't care
That was refreshing to see honestly
Yes!
she seems like an absolutely lovely person! i bet all those animals she has have great lives, they look so happy

I mean, obviously we loved each other too, (me and her dog; l literally walked barefoot through brambles and thistles, to find him when he was dying - he went right down the bottom of the garden, where one of our other dogs went, when she was dying, he really loved her, too), but their connection was somehow more special.

I didn't want a Chihuahua. Or a third dog for that matter. Then I met my best friend. She is a 3 pound Chihuahua named Peanut. I got her on Dec 21st and she has changed my whole world. Those dogs love hard for how tiny they are. I can't imagine life without her.
When I was in college we took care of my dads friends older chihuahua while he was in the hospital a few times. The owner unfortunately passed away and my family adopted him. I was not home a lot because I was in school but whenever I came home for whatever reason him and I always had some special bond and he was attached to me despite rarely being home. Since graduating I’ve moved out and he now lives with me and I even got him a little brother (another chihuahua). Never thought I’d be a chihuahua guy but now I’m a proud chihuahua father to two handsome little guys
They steal hearts quite easily. Even men's! If I saw you with them, I'd know you are a great guy!
I adopted 2 a year ago. Never though I was a small dog person but I just love them. Gutsy, loving little things.

Sadly, Kaley's dog Norman passed away a few weeks back. He's the big tan and white good boy @ 3:48. He was s big part of Kaley's life, so much so she named her production company, Yes, Norman Productions, after him when she started it up a while back. The perils of overusing the word 'great'
Nah
I adopted a little chihuahua who was all broken. He had bad teeth and trouble walking. I got his teeth pulled, and pain meds and got him healthy. I adored him. I mean ADORED. I had him for two years, but he passed away. I still miss him so much. His name was Tidbit. These little guys really do steal your heart. Bless you Kaley for giving him the life he deserves.
And bless you for giving him two wonderful years;)
I got a little Pekingese for Christmas one year when I was in high school. It was love at first sight and we bonded immediately. I had him for 12 years until he passed away 9 years ago. He was right there next to me for everything - high school graduation, going through college and graduating, first real job, first house, first actual relationship. I still miss him so so SO much. I'll still cry sometimes if I talk about him to somebody. His name was Pudge.
Now that I'm starting to feel like I'm ready to get another pet, I've decided I'm going to get one from a shelter. It breaks my heart knowing all of those poor babies don't have a home. If I ever became wealthy, the first thing I'd do is build a huge animal shelter and take care of as many of them as I could. The woman in this video seems like a really good person.
I’m sure sweet little Tidbit was able to go at peace knowing how loved he was ❤️ thank you for giving him a second chance!
We can't change their past, but we can change their future. Thank you for giving Tidbit the best life in his golden years. Knowing love and kindness is everything x

She has been my only friend through so many dark times and I love her as if she is one of my children.❤❤❤
What a great final move for an old guy :) Just one thing, though...he wasn't hiding under blankets, he was nesting - it's basically the Chihuahua's signature move. We've had loads of them, and only one hasn't nested. You basically have to assume that if there's something warm and/or fluffy lying around, there's gonna be a Chihuahua underneath it.

We inherited a brindle chihuahua from our son's 2nd wife, when they parted ways she couldn't take her with her when she went back to her home state, which was in 2016. I too originally only wanted a big dog like a Shepherd or a Collie. We moved to a new house and the neighbors across the street had a purebred Yorkie that they claimed they could not bond with after two years. My wife agreed to take her and one night I came home from work and there she was. We both instantly fell in love. She was 4 when we got her and unfortunately she was only with us for 2 years. She got cancer and eventually had to be put down. My wife cried for a week and adopted a dog off of a Yorkie website. She was the opposite personality of the first and was quite difficult. Eventually we loved her as much as the first. She may have been on a Yorkie website but her DNA showed that she was primarily a chihuahua. We have had 3 chihuahuas since then and they have all been a delight to live with.
Now I know that my chihuahua isn’t the only one that burrows under blanket

That's what Chihuahuas do, they steal your heart forever. Even after they're gone, you never forget them.
you can see how much she cares when she's narrating, her attachment to dumpy is surreal.....
I love how he came out of his comfort zone and became happy to be a part of the pack and happy with Kaley.
Please see my CZcams😊
Kaley if you read these comments I want to say thank you for the love you give all your fur babies, but most of all for the love you give Dumpy he reminds me of 2 of my chi's I had until their passing. Love you for loving him.
Although I’m sad about the girl he shared a kennel with, this story is wonderful; bless Kaley and her family.
The lady said that she had "a list of adopters" already. She's fine!
@@devodavis6747 maybe they ment what if the two were bonded!
@@wetookachonce6021 good thing about chis, they seek human companionship more than dog, they're even loyal to only one human even if both of you gives them affection.
I ended up adopting two for this very reason. Couldn’t bare to part them. They are more into us than each other but they still get a lot of confidence and support from the other being there. I’m very glad we were able to keep them together. Although I’m their favourite they adore my kids too. I find it is better for them when they don’t solely rely on me.
We need more people like this
People who see the good in scared or angry or sad animals
We need to be more like them
It’s so nice!
I'm exactly like her with animals only difference is our bank accounts.
HEY 🥸 !!!
you are not "crazy 🐈" • • • !!!
you are very mindful and sweet 🧡 🤗
@@toe3143 yes ••• "BE" ••• like 🤗 🧡
The way she yells "COME BACK" as he's skipping away is the best.
Chihuahuas can be some of the most loving, playful little doggies ever.
I love her for loving and rescuing dogs and animals!
Telling you guys, once you have a chihuahua, there’s never going back. My ex has 2 and I get to see them regularly and it makes my day, sometimes I get them overnight. Love them to bits and I’m a 47 year old man!
It's insane how much cutenesses chihuahuas can pack into such a small body!!! 😍🥰🥺
Please see my CZcams🦆😊
Chihuahuas are the best. Lost my 16yr old chi last year. He was by my side all the time and helped me get through some rough times with my health. Oscar was one of a kind. Miss him . beautiful thing you did for this baby.
I was a big dog guy, and then I found my Chihuahua buddy Klaus wandering around a dumpster at my work. He lived with me for 16 awesome years, helped my wife and I raise our kids. And was just such a big dog in that little body. We always called him our golden child. I can't see a Chihuahua I don't immediately want to meet and love now.
This is such a great story, he looks so happy enjoying his new life. The evolution from the timid dog in the shelter to king of the household is absolutely great.
he finally trusted he was home.
I don't necessarily go for celebrities, but this lady is one I'll be happy to keep an eye on.
I was already a fan of Kaley Cuoco, from her Charmed days through BBT. Now it turns out she is a stellar representative of our species. Long life and lots of love to Dumpy, and thanks to Kaley and her husband for making a home for a sweet little old guy!
I adopted a 4 year old overweight anxious aggressive chihuahua now he’s 8 he’s aging in reverse he’s super happy and sweet and affectionate. Chihuahuas are honestly the best, they form such a strong bond with their person.
My 16 year old chihuahua passed away in 2020 due to heart disease. It still hurts to know I had to let him go... he was my best buddy. He had so much energy and enjoyed acting like a puppy as well. I hope to find something special like this again someday
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
For sure you will !
Mine has heart issues and cancer but he still acts like a puppy on the days he’s feeling well he’s also old so they can’t do anything about the cancer on his leg because of his age and heart issues
Edit: we had to put him down a few months ago due to his heart issue making it basically impossible for him to breath
there are lots of chihuahuas in the animal shelter,
Same
@@lunafringe10 sad but true statement and they r truly misunderstood! Have 2 changed my life too! 💕
Poor Dumpy probably had a difficult life. After a few weeks w/ Kaley, he probably said, with tears in his eyes, "I never even dared to dream this."
The little ones have the biggest hearts .
Oh, My Goodness, you can’t give this adorable innocent sweet “old lady” away. You wouldn’t want to take her Paradise away. 😘🐶❤️🙏👍😍 thank you soooooo very much for loving this little senior cutie pie🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Made me smile BIG! 😁
Clever clever 😊
Honestly, I was kind of indifferent about Kaley Cuoco until now...love her and dumpy! And thank you The Dodo for not click baiting the title with Kaley Cuoco's name and giving Dumpy the full credit :)
I am 6 6 straight man and having a chihuahua trust me the bond is crazy they attached so much to you when they are not around you feel you lost a limb they are the best ❤️
I already knew when he came back to life he was gonna pass away soon. Something about life on earth. Animals and humans . Even people on their death beds have this surge of energy right before they pass.
Dumpy truly was special. Don’t know who broke his heart but what a wonderful woman she is and was to foster these dogs and adopt them . That’s why I don’t foster. I would keep all of them. I did take in a stray cat who had a kitten and they are my life now. Gina and Gracie.
'It doesn't matter what it look like, if they're meant to be with you, they're meant to be with you.'
These people are the real DOG LOVERS. And there are these "DOG LOVERS" that only adopts very nice looking dogs. 😒
Am i one of the "DOG LOVERS" because we go for that
Dumpy is adorable! Thank you for keeping him and giving him the love and care he deserves.
😊Please see my CZcams👍
Kindness is a weakness to the indecent but virtuous to the decent. We all can see we have a decent set of humans in that house. Bravo thank you.
I only knew her from BBT I had no idea she was this incredible person. So happy they found each other. Perfect story!
perfect video before sleep
God bless this People. The Dogs are loved, you can see it.
Please see my CZcams👍😊
What he’s done to her is he’s a chihuahua. They’re the best!

I've had chihuahua's all my life, best dogs ever.
I too had a foster failure. Me and my mother found a picture of the cutest 13 y/o pitty. He had been severely abused, so sick. Mostly deaf, mostly blind, cancer, a cough, multiple bb gunshot wounds, broken tail, toe amputated (cancer) lung & heart problems. His name was Teddy, we bonded with him so immediately, he had been getting depressed since he was in the rescue alone for a couple of months so we gave him a try. He would waddle around until he found someone to love on him. He was only expected to live a couple months. Lived and lived and entire year with us.:) sadly, we had to put him down. The vet had no openings so we expected him to be gone within a week. But there was an opening and suddenly we only had a day left. Cried so hard.
Fly high Teddy🕊
