I invite you to investigate becoming Catholic. Find a local Traditional Catholic parish, where they say the Tridentine Latin Mass and talk with the priest about becoming Catholic. Dollar for dollar the Catholic church gives you more of everything ,graces, prayers, devotions, etc, than any other church. We are aware of the issues with some of the priests but that does not change the basic tenants of the faith. Come on in, the fullness of faith is with the Catholic church. I truly hope you do!! I am a convert and had no idea how awful Communion in the hand was until I learned because of watching videos during the pandemic when I couldn't go to Mass in person. I have heard priests, and yes that includes Bishops who are priests forever first, declare that they might lose funds for their super Catholic "good works" projects ( the ends never justify the means) and second they might offend someone. Offend someone? You have already offended Jesus Christ, so spell it out as to who else is offended and why that matters. Anyone who is offended by God's words- - GET OUT!
I'm terrible at it too since I weight train, the one time I tried doing it recently I was asleep all of the next day because of no energy. I try to at least substitute it with other forms of penance (I did ice cold showers for Lent last year, I really hate them but they're effective for me for that reason).

I have to agree with Fr Altman. The truth IS the truth. He reminds me of when Jesus was angry when the “Bishops” was turning God’s house into a market place.
I am fairly certain that they have not been. I am also certain that, if you asked any one of them, making it clear that you are serious about the matter, the Bishop standing in front of you would tell you that he was one of the eight. Magically, all 208 of them would be those 8. So no need to ask. They are ALL liars. The reality is that the "8" were not serious about their opposition. They were selected as a small group to pander to the faithful.

I have heard priests, and yes that includes Bishops who are priests forever first, declare that they might lose funds for their super Catholic "good works" projects ( the ends never justify the means) and second they might offend someone. Offend someone? You have already offended Jesus Christ, so spell it out as to who else is offended and why that matters. Anyone who is offended by God's words- - GET OUT!

I'm terrible at it too since I weight train, the one time I tried doing it recently I was asleep all of the next day because of no energy. I try to at least substitute it with other forms of penance (I did ice cold showers for Lent last year, I really hate them but they're effective for me for that reason).

I am fairly certain that they have not been. I am also certain that, if you asked any one of them, making it clear that you are serious about the matter, the Bishop standing in front of you would tell you that he was one of the eight. Magically, all 208 of them would be those 8. So no need to ask. They are ALL liars. The reality is that the "8" were not serious about their opposition.
