- A Boeing 737 carrying 85 people caught fire and skidded off a runway at Senegal's main airport, injuring 10 people including the pilot.
People were spotted evacuating with heavy bags.

Passengers that waste time taking their bags need be put on a lifetime ban.
Keep important stuff in a small waist pouch. Data on the cloud. Get travelers insurance.
No bag dilemma no problems.
Had pax on MD80 during slide evac. Who tried to bring a bag. Briefly gragged it, thru off to side and forced her the down slide. Safety position wasnt compromised. Hers, others and mine life saved.

Well done.every second counts and bags are bulky they hamper everybody's movement, plus you lose time and block others when you open the overhead bins to drag your stuff out. Always keep your money and id cards, passports etc on your person or in a pouch strapped to your waist. Really respect your videos and your focus on aviation safety 💐💐💐💐💐💐

Alex, yes, bags are better off left on the plane, but you have no idea of the mentality of people of lesser means of those immigrating to a new country with their only possessions in their bags.
Find us a video of when pax are not leaving with their luggage. It happens in Europe, US, Asia, etc. The one video you might find is the recent Japan Airlines crash in Haneda.
So, the point being, it is a human factors issue and we in industry must try to figure out how to reduce this behavior.
And when is the last time you were in a plane crash? People act goofy under stressful conditions.
