  • On 21 May 2024, a Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER operating as Flight 321, flying a scheduled passenger flight from London Heathrow Airport to Singapore Changi Airport carrying 229 occupants on board, encountered severe turbulence over Myanmar, resulting in one death and seventy-one injuries.
Big props to the flight crew, cabin crew and ground staff dealing with the situation! They are heroes.

Hi Alex, my dad had his experience with severe turbulence back when he was in the military.
As he was attached to Taiwan for training with his battalion unit and on the flight back to Singapore.
He was on board a Singapore Airlines 747, 2hrs into the flight
the plane was starting to feel shaky and seat belt sign were on and the plane suddenly dropped a few thousand feet and he mentioned people without seat belts on were thrown with their heads hitting the ceiling of the aircraft..
The aircraft atmosphere turned 360 degrees from a lively atmosphere to a silent atmosphere everyone became silent until the aircraft landed in Singapore..
And ever since that incident he has always warned me to put my seat belts on during flight when I travel..

I'm truly sorry for this incident as being flight attendant also... Seatbelt is only for their safety but passengers persistent not to fasten it and even they argue over it. Unbelievable... Yes we cant escape from turbulances but we can do precaution like end the service and get back in jump seat. So please make it easy for us and for your own safety; "fasten your seatbelts" guys....

    Hi🙋🏻‍♀️my Bro Alex🌞& everyone 🗺️🕊️
Very Saddening to see this mishap that happened & it’s heartbreaking 💔 when injuries or loss of lives occurs.
SEATBELTS are made or manufactured for The Right Purpose/Reason. It’s always Safer to keep one’s seatbelt on when flying or DRIVING too. Better to be Safe Than Sorry! Even animals have to be kept on their leash to safeguard themselves & other animals etc.
We did face severe turbulence several times, especially in the Business Class where everyone’s wine 🍷 was flying up to the ceiling of the airplane along with them. Some were throwing up, it was disastrous to see them but Praise🙌🤲🌈🙏God nothing happened to us as we were not shaken at all. It just the whole Business class except us. We all were lying flat on our seats, some were sleeping sadly I just can’t sleep while I fly. I remember the crew checking on everyone & kept asking us how come nothing happened to us as everyone was flying up, getting thrown up, hurt but we were just resting. God works in mysterious ways..
Safe Travels my Bro🙌🙏🌈🤲always Believe In Miracles in the Impossible by having, keep Faith!
    God✨Bless🙏🌈🙌🤲us all 🗺️🫶🕊️MC/Q🕊️🫶🌹

Some of your information is totally wrong. The aircraft moved max 500ft up or down. The 6,000 ft was a controlled descent by the pilots.

  • @SusanS777

Don’t the pilots see them in advance? It surprised me that the passengers had no warning to fasten seatbelts which is normal practise

Any passengers who were in their seats without their belts on, is their fault. Idiots. I feel sorry for crew, who of course can't stay seated during the whole flight. But passengers without seatbelts is their own stupidity.
