I work as an Assistant Purser in Guest Services, and this is the cabin I am staying for the length of my cruise contract.

@@DANOVERBOARDvlogs no, never. I was interested in becoming a cruise ship nurse, and i have just been looking everywhere for more information on the living situation of those in the ship. Videos like these help in understanding :)

You looked pretty tired and dead at first, I thought you might be sick or just had a long day but as soon as the smile comes up @11:49 I know you’re fine haha. Your room is very well equipped, though it’s kind of tiny but it has everything! You did mention you can have full access to the guest area when you’re on uniform, I wonder if you could just go out and have a walk or just chill in your time-off as well?
This week may have been a long and tiring one.
I don't mind the room being small, so long as it's clean and modern with some natural light. And I had all that.
Crew are not meant to walk around guest areas out of uniform. Only if we are coming and going on/off the ship. Chilling is done offship, in crew areas, or one's cabin.

May I ask if the Assis jr. Pursur can also get this kind of room or it needed to be at lv1 to be able to stay alone in this kind of room ;(
A JAP is an half-stripe Officer role shares a cabin with other same-rank crew members. A JAP would only have their own cabin if:
- there isn't a roommate available
- the crew member is staying in a guest stateroom (until a crew cabin is available)
- the crew member is not able to share for compromised reasons
Are you tall or the cabin that is low? I have just received my Offer Letter for the position of rooms division supervisor at Princess ... I'm so happy !

Would a HR manager have something similar to this?
Yes. At the time, my Learning and Development Manager was a couple cabins down the hall.

Yes. I believe? I am not 100% sure... However, the Learning and Development Manager does have the same cabin type.
for the staff and the crew instead towels and blankets are changed often or do they have to wash them?
For my role and cabin, I have a cabin steward who refreshes linens and towels every 3-4 days. We are responsible to laundering our personal laundry, however all linens and towels are cleaned by our laundry department.
@@DANOVERBOARDvlogs so the officers wash blankets and work clothes, the rest of the crew take their work belongings to a special room where they are given clean ones? in a nutshell you have to wash yourself only your private things. Thanks a lot for the answer
@@lucavilla6806 Officers do not wash blankets or work clothes themselves, our laundry team does this for us. Same with our uniforms. We only wash our personal items in our Officer's laundromat. Other crew members may need to bring their cabin/work related items to the laundry team on Deck 2 for laundering, and they pick them up or have them delivered when done.

Does an engine officer get the same room as you?
No. I get my own room.
I am not sure what engine officers' cabins look like, or if they share a cabin. I only know that their cabins are very near the engine room on a lower deck.
I will join in princess cruise as a GP deck and i have deck officer license but my agent just have offered for ratings position not for officer because indonesia seafarer can't be deck officer in cruise so sometimes i will be deck officer in princess cruise because i believe process 😃😃😃
