  • This decorative cord is easy to crochet as it uses only single crochet stitches! It makes a strong flattened non-stretchy braid with many applications, for example: jewellery, a narrow belt, or a strap for a small bag or purse. A tutorial by June Gilbank (www.planetjune.com).
My method is a simplified variation of the cord used to make Romanian Point Lace. Please note: if you're looking for instructions for Romanian Point Lace cord, this is not how to make it!

At last !!! Thank you. You highlighted the V of the stitch and showed the vertical stitch to use in front of it. I have lost count of how many videos I've watched with this cord crocheting. I just couldn't get it. Last few days it has frustrated me and I just couldnt work out why I just ended up with a knotted mess. Now I always check I'm doing it right by looking for the 2 stitches at front of the V. Finally getting it right 👍 Thank you 😁
