No cello, upright bass. Possibly the finest vocal jazz song ever written, and, as far as I know, Van Morrison's only entry into the straight jazz genre. Brilliantly done.
This is an example of utilizing so many different instruments and the insane layers. Morrison was a true visionary and brilliant musician. You could spend a few hours just wading through the layers of this in-your-face jazz mastery.
"Van The Man" is one of those Master Craftsman at creating uniquely soulful, tasteful, delightful musical treats. I saw him in 1966 at the Long Beach Area do "Brown Eyed Girl" Van is among the legends of legends. Glad to see his ICONIC name added to you Playlist. Thanks again.
Oh!!! Definately a rabbit hole you need to go down. Into the mystic , astral weeks, and it stoned me, tupelo honey..and dozens more!
"Brown Eyed Girl," "Why Must I Always Explain?", "Wavelength," "Caravan," "Listen to The Lion," "Someone Like You,"
"Days Like This," and "In The Garden", are all Van Morrison songs that are outstanding. You really can't
make a list of songs that can explain his talent. He's a musical genius, singer, and poet. His music has been described
as attaining a spiritual feeling beyond or above the range of typical experiences. A transcendence feeling of experiencing
the music through his lyrics and voice. Other songs like Jackie Wilson Said (I'm In Heaven When You Smile), Full Force
Gale, Domino, Cypress Avenue, Queen Of The Slipstream, and Dweller On The Threshold are good examples. It's a deep
rabbit hole to go down - but, believe me, it's well worth it.
Glad you mentioned listen to the lion (too late to stop now version) also must mention you dont push the river, common one, and the last waltz live version of caravan.
You are going to LOVE Van Morrison! Some suggestions: Into the Mystic, Tupelo Honey, and And it Stoned Me. Really, his music is beautiful and so perfect in every way.
"I'm Not Familiar With"... "You Guys Recommended It" I just smile again.
A few MUST HEAR classics from BEFORE Van (The Man) Morrison would start his solo career,, Them "Here Comes The Night",, "Gloria" & "Baby,, Please Don't Go" ❤
Well, you've got a start. string another 8 or 10 "Van Classics" together decorate the deck, a bottle of good wine, candles and take your baby dancing right there at home!
Van Morrison, Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen. These 3 are tops for listening music.
Try airing Cohen's The Future, or Susanne. actually Cohen sets such a moody scene you may want to stick with Lightfood or Morrison.
Thanks for the reactions and we here look forward to more.
Glad you found Van Morrison -
Please react to Into the Mystic
and In Haunts of Ancient Peace
Van's the man !!!
Good call about vocal similarities with Eric Burdon, another great musician.
You continue to amaze me, man -
Peace
Can never go wrong with Van the man Morrison! Moondance is a classic, but his catalog of hits is DEEP! 🌕🎶🍁🍂🔥
Great song! Now you gotta check out his songs Into The Mystic & Brown Eyed Girl
It's interesting that you mention Eric Burdon. Van Morrison was in a band called 'Them' in 1965 that recorded a great version of the blues classic, "Baby Please Don't Go" that ranks with the Animals' version of "House of the Rising Sun" not to mention the rock classic, "Gloria", as well as "Here Comes the Night" and "Mystic Eyes"...
"Into The Mystic"... "Crazy Love" off this album are radio hits you'll love.
11,000 and growing faster all the time. Back in January I told you stick to the Best Quality Content you can put on your channel. You can watch anything, but what you choose to "Publish" has all been some of the highest Quality music ever produced.... LONG VERSIONS TOO. NO Pauses. That is why you have as many Serious Subs at this channel, as I've said many times.... TOO COOL.
Once someone hears Van (The Man) Morrison's voice,, you will have no trouble recognizing/remembering it. ❤
Perfect song for October! One of the best songs ever! Tupelo Honey is another of my favorites from Van. Also, Wild Night is a great one that I haven’t seen any reactions of. It’s another great song. Can’t wait to see more Van Morrison on your channel. ☮️❤️😎
Wild Night is a great song.
My number 1 favorite version of this song. 2nd is by Michael Buble. Michael is often credited for helping to renew public interest and appreciation for traditional pop standards and the Great American Songbook.
Van the man, moondance is a great album
You’ve just hit the gold standard. I can’t wait till you give a listen to Into The Mystic
NO HALLOWEEN MUSIC/REACTION LIST would be complete without this MUST SEE/HEAR classic track & video,, The Guess Who - Shakin' All Over" ~ Skelton Dance (Video A MUST!!)
Van the man is Legend.
Oh yeah, this definitely was on my "sexy songs" mixed tape. 😁
Check out 'Into the Mystic' and 'Brown-eyed Girl' by Van Morrison. And just about anything else by him....

This whole LP is worth listening to…again and again and again……
Van has a great song no one has reacted to called I’ve been Working. Be the first.
"Moondance"
Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
You know I'm tryin' to please to the calling
Of your heartstrings that play soft and low
You know the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
You know the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush
Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love?
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love?
Well, I wanna make love to you tonight
I can't wait 'til the mornin' has come
You know, I know now the time is just right
And straight into my arms you will run
And when you come, my heart will be waiting
To make sure that you're never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true, dear
There and then I will make you my own
And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside
And I know how much you want me, that you can't hide
Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love?
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love?
Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
You know I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heartstrings that play soft and low
You know the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
You know the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush
Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love?
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love?
One more moondance with you
In the moonlight
On a magic night
La, la, la, la, la, in the moonlight
On a magic night
Can't I just have one more, more dance with you, my love?
JM... If you had a Dime for every time this song was played at a Wedding, and the radio you'd have enough to buy any Car made. I know you love cars.
The BASS line is killer.
Absolutely loved that reaction.
Please react to Paul Brady, The Island - cartoon vid version.
He’s another amazing songwriter from Ireland. Ta. 👍🏽
One of my favorite moody mellow songs.
My jam!
❤Van Morrison
I keep seeing all these mega awesome songs you’re reacting to and I keep revisiting your channel because of them. WTG!
More Van please. Like the Eric Burdon comparison. Van is far greater, though.

From your thumbnail/video/title pic "MOODANCE",, I Was expecting to see a video with some cows dancing around 🐄 🐄👀🤪
I was waiting for your reaction to his “voicebrato” near the end 😁.
Never thought about him and Eric Bourdin but u right
Now you are delving into one of my all time fave artists! Van is THE Man! He mixes jazz with r&b and rock so beautifully. He is still going strong and is on tour right now. Play more Van and enjoy the journey! This whole album is a work of art, and imo he is at his best live
Check out the whole Moondance album, not a duff track on it, same goes for Astral Weeks which was his breakthrough album after going solo. One of my personal faves is His Band and Streetchoir.
LOVE VAN...
Love this song!
Banger!!!!!
Can't beat Van the Man, you've got 50 years of music to go through there.
Just gotta go outside and dance!!
How it works is you and your lady do a little slow moon dancing and good things tend to happen 🤔
