    Great vid. It helped me on a project I am doing. I removed my m4 seats for bucket seats, and I don't want the seats to just lay around. So, I am making an m4 "gaming" chair with all the electronics being usable.
    You wouldn't have a seat occupancy sensor for the driver because when you turn the car on, it will know a driver is in the vehicle automatically. You can't drive a car without being in it.

    It’s nice to see you back on CZcams, there is one thing that made me laugh and that was when you said real Alcantara, I don’t understand why people are so hung up on this stuff, it’s imitation plastic suede, why not fit the real McCoy and have Suede, it’s real and not plastic, you’ve got real leather in your car, why fit a plastic headlining, you don’t fit false carbon fibre, it’s the real thing or nothing, please stop fitting Alcantara and making out it’s an expensive material, it’s just expensive plastic after all

    I'm so glad when I see you've put out a new vid! Things will probably never be the same as it once was getting almost a video a day out for a long stint there. However seeing as I have shot huge swathes of "Footage" (Is it still called that in digital video land?? LOL) yet haven't posted much of anything since around 2017 or something like that. So I will remember not to be the tool we humans can often be at times. I know how long doing what you do actually takes to do. So I try not to judge at all when it Seems like a video is taking a long time. Not to mention how insane it is think you "Deserve" something that's free!! Anyways I'm very much in the camp of "Luxury comfort technology in the old school boat with MASSIVE POWA!!!" AHH HAH HA HAA! That said I love the M2 seats or the M4 seats they will keep you in place look amazing and look like they'd be very comfy. Just how inspirational your videos have been over the years I can't really measure. But the confidence in being able and capable of working on BMW's and N54 in particular is immense! Thank you! "Knowledge is POWER! SO is Forced Induction!" LOL. The last thing is that Australia one of those places where heated seats just don't make sense. Yet in Canada it's number two on the options "MUST HAVE" list. LOL!! Rock on Andrew!

    • @ZeroTo60Tube

      It will be exactly the same. Best path to follow is modules that have the required features from an E60 LCI.

  • @odie0815
    @odie0815 Před 4 měsíci +1

    the PWM Signal for the seat heating module is comeing from the junction box
    I had them on the driver side and passinger side since i had manual basic seats with heating
    when i retrofitted my E90 ///M3 fully electric seats with lumbbar and heating
    I needed to add in the can Bus wireing for the driver seat to get the big module to work for the seat positioning
    I did nod do it from the get go since I was no concerened for the position stuff at first but it turned out that seatheatin would not work too when the can bus signal is mission on the big module
    including the blinking error indication on the heating button in the center console
    as soon as i added the can bus wireing like magic all started to work again - no coding needed at tat point
    I did code the sport seat option with memory later to enable the key memory - but not really needed for me since I'm the ony user of the car
    ALSO
    stoked to hear of the NBT-Evo retrofit - If it works out well for you - I will definatly copy it

      @@ZeroTo60Tube It does have heated seats with the blow up bolster feature too so we'll see. They're not electric either so I'm not sure how much extra work it will be to make it all work but I think in the end it should be possible to make it all work hopefully.
