Lucky me -- I had an incredible visit to MASS MoCA just a week or two before the Grigely exhibit was closing, and had the opportunity to be guided through his exhibits. It was so impressive and such a gift to have the chance to walk through the exhibits with an interpreter from MASS MoCA, engaging me with the works in a way I couldn't possibly have on my own. It left a big impression on me and really appreciated the professionalism and expertise of the staff that showed me around. It was a very emotionally connecting exhibit on multiple levels. Thanks so much for bringing this exhibit to share with us visitors. If you haven't been to MASS MoCA - you have to go! I now make it an annual event coming from Canada, and likely a second visit this year with my children in August.
I loved it! On so many levels. It's a great appreciation seeing the importance of communication regardless how it conveyed. I also realized how personal it especially in this digital age. I'm in the beg stages of ASL and I could see ASL in the writing vs speech writing and I hope others see that diversity in communication.
