@@scottishhighlander1602 You know the funny thing about your comment? That's what The Expanse was actually supposed to be. But the project fell through because of the costs involved; the Chinese company that was developing it just didn't have the resources needed to pull off the game in the first place. But the writers kept the IP, turned it into the books, and... well, you know the rest.

The best series on the face of the earth until now .... That scale, worldbuilding, those stories, VFX r just amazing ♥️♥️♥️
To think, this came _WAY_ too close to being the last scene of the entire show.
I wouldn't have minded. This was a perfect cliffhanger.

Even if this was how the series would have ended, what an ending this would have been. It would have made a perfect open ending with a new frontier opened for the human race, new pastures, new adventures.

@@leroyhargreaves2882 better than it ending right after a huge cliff hanger or something. The end of the first trilogy would've been a great ending if it had to be.
And also new bloodshed.
After having watched the meandering storylines of S4, S5 & S6, the unsatisfying deaths of so many of the strongest characters, and the myriad of incomplete plot threads left by the S6 finale, I think S3 would've been the perfect ending for The Expanse.
I liked the ending of the books……it was cool like this and broooootaaaaal like Reign in Blood era Slayer.
And that ladies and gentlemen, is cinematic perfection.
When the TV is free, and the kids and wife haven’t taken it over, it’s straight back on with The Expanse. Just finished season 2. Again. I’ll get on with season 3 and later season 4 for the third time, while waiting for those Nemesis Games

I'm glad I saw this series. As an Astronomy lover this easily blew my mind. I love the actors, pace, vfx, score, the visuals etc... It's hurting that amazon putting an end after season 6.
For me, this is one of the best ending scenes in a series of all time, all is just perfect

What an utterly incredible show. This is writing with a grand plan in mind .....Disney.....
The finale of The Expanse's third season is a unique feat of sci-fi, imagine fans of the series building this expanded universe together with the authors of the books, possibilities that go far beyond Laconica, the Goths and the protomolecule civilization. It's a fabulous gem that should be explored by all of us who love this series.
Hands down, the best Sci-Fi TV show ever. Keep er lit Amazon!

So Holden has glimpses of whatever were those things that wiped out the protomolecule builders, each time he passes through one of the rings?
In a way. In the books, there were greater implications, but from the point of view of the last moments of people that past through the gates. Strictly speaking if you see it, you are gone. But it a lot harder to make a scene of it, the way it was describe in the book.

This show can go on for unlimited seasons......... there can be so many plots and stories with how season 3 and 4 ended..... i belive in next two season that is 5 and 6 will surely be raising more questions and curiosity kweping us in half loop...... but then yes because every great show has bad season anf this will have to ... season 7 and 8 and then it will do their best in 9 and 10
So, the amazing thing is that the TV show is based off of books and so far they have been doing a great job at keeping relatively accurate. The good thing about the books is that they are all incredible and the story keeps being next level. You're going to love where the story goes :)
Eh....not so much if humanity keeps ducking in and out of those gates.

God I loved this series so much but it is endlessly frustrating. Reminds me of Game of Thrones is the sense that it messed up the gradual rising of stakes.
GOT season 8 our heroes come together to fight the wights only to win without much bloodshed. Then the true big bad of the series becomes Cersei/Dany.
Same thing w the Expanse. We spend multiple seasons building up this amazing sci fi world with a unique alien threat amid a carefully plotted political backdrop. It started with human conflicts and shifted to supernatural/existential…
…only to then flip back to human conflicts. Yes, let’s muddy up our great story by introducing inferior new characters and sending our already established ones in strange, pointless directions. Don’t get me wrong, I like Marco and Phillip as characters and I think they work for Naomi’s story, but I think it would’ve worked better had they come in earlier when the belter conflict was at the forefront. Let Amos and Alex explore their roots earlier and build to a gradually rising threat.
How are we supposed to see an ending like this to season 3 with literally limitless possibility and then find a rehashing of the same old galactic conflicts interesting?
Idk, may be personal preference and I still love the show. Like that Marco basically destroyed earth too that was a nice touch. Still, S4-6 kinda lowered the bar for me

one thing I'm confused about: HOW the hell did the Protocrap end up in the Sol system?
Saturn's moon Phoebe is believed to be an extrasolar object trapped by Saturn's gravity. The builders might have shot Phoebe towards somewhere and it got trapped in the Sol System.
@@BuzzyBuzz maybe they were shot at earth and Saturn came me in the way and swooped the moon, they were intended to hijack life and destroy solar systems ryt? It might have hit earth and hijacked life on earth and then turn into that beautifull squid like structure and gone near the Uranus to form the ring and destroy our solar system just like it had destroyed 100ds of em. Thank Saturn!😊😅
